Maybe the device you are transferring the file to has not checked the "make device visible" or something or you clicked the wrong device to transfer it with.

I had this happen to me as well once, with my ace and my tablet. I found I couldn't transfer an .apk file from my phone to tablet, so I tried sending something small (a song) from my tablet to my phone. After that, I could transfer either way. After that it was all good . Anyway, try it and see, but I've only had this happen once, so hopefully it will work. Great app tho, I use it all of the time, specifically for this use so hopefully it works for you again! :fingers-crossed:
I was using miui for i9000 (2.3) on my telus galaxy s fascinate (t959d) for some months now. I tried to install ics cyanogenmod(most i900 stable version) with semaphore kernel (1.3.0). Everything went well. But now i cant listen to music anymore because I dont see any music in playerpro (or any other media player). When I take a photo or video it disapear from gallery after a reboot . I tried to go back to my last setup but the problem is still there.
I tried to fix permissions with both cmw and rom manager but no result.
It look like that media scanning failed to index or something like that...
Thanks for any tips
Michael
I have this problem too

Nice to know that I'm not the only one with that damn problem.
Here are some additional information:
-I opened terminal emulator and did a LS -l on mnt and mnt/sdcard
mnt/sdcard has system as owner and sdcard_rw as group. permission are: ---rwxr-x and all files under sdcard have the same permissions.
This is very weird that system owner has no permission... it sound that the problem come from there or is that normal?
Please confirm me by testing it on a working system(phone).

Did you update rom manager? It may have added a .nomedia file to your sd card. Just delete that and it should be fine. Happened to me yesterday on cm9

Omg thanks thanks thans and THANKS again!
I deleted all .nomedia... now i see all media in my phone (maybe I should have let some but WHATEVER) but it work so I'm really happy.
I used that command to remove all file :
Code:
find . name ".nomedia" -exec rm -i {} \;
of course I used terminal emulator to do that and had super root access (su)
Thanks Again.

Hi, I have a S5830L 2.3.4 stock rom (rooted), appart from some SOD issues, all is great, but when I record a video with camera, the video is deleted from gallery after media scanning ends. Does anybody have this issue?, I report it to in google code site for android issues (issue id 35637) 3 weeks ago but sincerely, I don't think they will going to fix it (2.3.4 is an older version now). So I am looking for workaround before I can update my ROM to another stock or custom.
regards,
vldesco
Are you 100% sure that it is definitely being deleted or is it just not being found.

It's a bug of android 2.3: if you have .nomedia file in a folder, media scanner will delete all files in that folder. This bug seems fixed in 2.3.6.

First note that I am on official 4.0.4 USA rom (USA model) that is stock but rooted.
Downloads from any browser won't work (chrome/stock/firefox) but I can download off say Tapatalk or within apps. So long as the link isn't to a mirror (file sharing website) it seems that is has something to do with the "downloads" app. As if it won't accept downloading through that app. Anybody else have similar problema/found a solution.
Also if somebody doesn't mind posting the downloads app (for stock 4.0.4 p7310) and see if I can delete then install to see if that works.

I once had that prob on a froyo rom on other device. Maybe the file u r dwding isnt supported by the device. I think dolphin browser can handle this bug. It has an external dwd manager.

The files are there. It's just the Download app doesn't know that they are. Use a file explorer to look in /sdcard/Download

Thank you both for replying. After flashing a rom and still not being able to download stuff I done some cleaning up I my sdcard partion. I Found a "file" called downloads.txt. After deleting the file downloads can now happen. I believe the problem is caused but how Android manages downloads. As the was no directory for downloads it was trying to download items into /sdcard/downloads. As that directory was a file (not even sure how that one happened) and not a folder it would attempt then fail.
You should change. txt to the original file extension e.g. zip

I have seen the new file manager in Samsung Galaxy S2 (Jelly Bean Stock)
Its seems to be perfect because the home shows sdcard0 and sdcard1 so you can easy select after open the file explorer what you need (the internal or the external SD) this will be the perfect CM10 file manager too.
So here my question can any body port this app to CM10?
The app are in the attachment i would be happy if someone can do that...
Thank you in andvance
Make a flashable zip
And flash it you can find a lot of tutorials how to

Hehe do you think i dont have try it
This app dosnt work without Porting thats the reason why i ask here...
With the es Explorer, you can set the storage folder as home folder, too.
Settings, directory settings, home folder. Now you will see at ES startup sd0 and sd1.
