My HD is starting to get a bit too full for comfort. Does anyone know of a free utility or way to find out what the largest files and folders are and delete them? I'm looking for something similair to ES File Managers SD Card Analyst. I thought Explorer might work, but it doesn't sort folders by size, only files. Many thanks in advance.

FAR Manager should do the trick for you...
It's a console app, so no graphic rubbish to care of

It seems like it might work. If I could figure out how to use it for what I wanted. At this point it just seems to be a slower Windows Explorer.

Do a Google search for treesize free. It takes a while to calculate the size of the folders, but everything will. There's no quick way to do it.

Thank you guys. I'm trying Teesside first. If that doesn't work as I would like, I'll give WinDirStat a try. Thanks for the help.

I just got my Vivid Monday and coming from the Inspire I was used to having the built in flashlight on my phone. I noticed for some reason HTC left it off this phone. Here is the HTC Flashlight apk for those would like it. To install just download and use a file manager like astro or es file explorer to install.
Awesome TYVM. I thought it was Very odd that HTC forgot and or excluded this in this phone.
Thank you very much!

thanks... i was using some stupid one.
Are these just like the CAB file with WM, where after we transfer them to the phone we just click on them and they auto install?
You need a file manager app like es file explorer or astro. When you click it it will ask if you want to install

Yeah, I was surprised to not see Teeter.
Awesome, works great. Thanks
Got an apk for Teeter?
Here is a Teeter apk that has always worked for me, including on non HTC devices. Not sure if it will still work with newer devices, but it is worth a shot. Just place on the sd card and install from there using a file manager.

I have yet to try it, but the main thing is if the screen resolution still works. Flashlight is a proper qHD app, so it looks like.
Trying now, will report back.
EDIT: Scales up beautifully, but the ball position is screwed up.
I'm not sure you will get this one to install, but this one is higher resolution.

Broken lol. There us a large white border along the bottom and right side that lets you cheat on all levels.
My memory card got fried and all the games that i had transferred to SD are gone as well. I thought this would be a simple process of buying a new SD card in which I did and reinstalling the app. WRONG.... everytime I try to reinstall the games that were lost my phone would say "REPLACE APPLICATION" and of course I would select OK, it would go thru the entire motions of installing and then in the end would say "APP NOT INSTALLED". So apparently even if the games were lost when my SD card got fried there are reminants left somewhere on the Phone. Does anyone know exactly where i would be able to find the reminants of these games so I can reinstall it without any problems ?

What about using the amazon marketplace on your pc to push it? Not sure if amazon has this function because I don't use amazon.

How fried is the sd card? Data recovery is pretty good with solid state if it is just a partition/mbr/fs/vol issue. If it is truly done and won't show up at all in disk management, then probably done. But if it shows up at all in management, even if it has no partition info or raw, it should be recoverable.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
just re-install via amazon appstore.
Did you wipe dalvik and cache?
Several system cleaners in the play store that cleanup left over app stuff. Try one.
If none of these work, the entries that need to be deleted are in a config file somewhere, no clue which one.
Use TiBu to back up your settings and data, wipe and reflash phone.

I don't believe a downanimation sound is enabled by default, is it?
You can try this - I've edited where it looks for the downanimation to also look for a sound. I've told it to look for a sound called htc_down.mp3 in system/customize/resource/
You can try the flashable I've posted. Rename your audio to htc_down.mp3 and, using 7zip, drop it in the system/customize/resource folder of the .zip (you can delete the placeholder that's there), and flash in recovery. Let me know..
Edit: if i would have seen your 2nd post i may not have replied... 17 views isn't a whole lot. In forums like these (especially if someone is only watching their phone's subforum), people check out all of the new threads - that doesn't mean they have something to offer. Would you rather get a bunch of posts that are useless (idk, ask google, etc), or wait for a good one?

Not sure what happened. Named it htc_down.mp3. Using ES File Explorer, I dropped it in system/customize/resource and rezipped it using first Standard, then Store compression. Rebooted to twrp, flashed and it failed, both times. Also, boot sound no longer plays. Fml lol

No need to extract and rezip. Use 7zip on a pc and just drag and drop in the correct folder in the zip and then move the modified zip to your SD card and flash

Hello.
I know that kitkat implemented something about only letting the certain app to gain access to the folder it's using or something like that. So applications like vaulty doesn't work anymore. Dunno why they even made it like that. It worked perfect on JB. Why change something wich is working.
But, are there any apps or ways of hiding pics/video and whatever nowadays on Kitkat firmware?

Hide It Pro have just a big issue to me, it move the pictures to his folder and is mess up with my stuff, I will prefer the pictures remain where they are.
AppsLock is very good but it missing the option to select single files, it just work for Apps, still good BTW.
