great site by the way,
i was wondering if its possible to have my user name changed to another. or will i have to close this account then start another?
Hello I use Onemediahub to synchronize my contact and I was able to click on "+" and then select OneMediahub instead of the default address book in order to use OMH directly on my previous Android phone. Now I'm no longer allowed to do that.
I can only create contact on my phone or Gmail. How can I create a new contact on my phone without going to OneMediaHub web Site?

Hi,
I contacted OneMediaHub and they told me it's due to a HTC One limitation within the address book.
This is really weird and I am wondering if there's some hack that can be applied to have this feature working.

If you look up accounts in your setting I believe you can add another email to your phone.
Not sure if you can change it totally without loosing info.
If you're just worried about the email address, I think you can change the address associated with a given Microsoft account. You can also just stop synching email on the current account and add the other account as a normal email account (as opposed to the phone's primary Microsoft account), if you *really* only care about email.
Otherwise, though, I'm not sure if you have any good options. On WP7, your purchases and such were attached to your Zune Tag / Xbox Live Gamertag (same thing) and you could move those between accounts, then hard-reset the phone and set it up with the "new" account to have access to all your old games. It *probably* works the same for WP8, but I can't promise that.
This kind of DRM bull**** is one of the reasons I don't "buy" apps if I can help it. If you actually owned a copy of the app, you could just re-install it on your own device after changing the primary ID no problem... Same goes for Steam and such, of course.

So,this is the story.
When i bought Lumia 520,i wanted to sign in with my e-mail address hotmail.com. I received error, tried with a new alias(same error), so i had to make new e-mail address(outlook.com)..Few days ago, i reseted my phone to factory settings, then i tried for curiosity if my first e-mail work and worked .Now i want to move apps/games to old e-mail address hotmail.com (or merge e-mail addresses).but i can't..I know that in wp7 you could change in registry something( i read somewhere )...
I can change gamertag for free(first time),but e-mail address no.I've been talked with support but they didn't helped me. They gived me a free t-shirt for xbox avatar.....I think there is no other option..just buy again apps/games in old e-mail address.

I believe that if you go to live.com and log in, there is an option under accounts to link different addresses to your account, as well as set the primary. As I remember, would be able to use any/all of those to log in. I had this issue before when I set up a new email. Only problem I had after that was my phones address and the primary weren't the same and FB chat through the native messenger app would not work. I reset the primary and no issues after that. Try it and let us know.

I said that you can add other addresses that will link to whatever you use for your Live.com account.
I have a VZW Moto X now running 4.4.4. Every sense the upgrade my contacts lists are now a mess. I have hundreds of quasi duplicates. It appears that my contacts app is drawing it's info from Google/Gmail the phone itself, my Exchange server, Facebook, LinkedIn, Waze? and others. I only want to use google or exchange. Both are synced and have the same info so either will do on my phone. Because of this I have many duplicate names listed that no information other then the name. No phone, no email just the name and I can't tell the source. I can limit to only working with one contact list by telling the phone to only display one list but that doesn't work for searches which give me 5 or 6 of the same name and only way to find the correct one is click on each one. This is making contacts useless. It use to work so how do I fix this? Were is the merge command that was in older versions of Android!
THanks,
Nathan Williams

Can you not go to people (open the app). Settings (...) Contacts to display : select just what you want?
Yes but it does not work in search. If I do so I get results from all of the contact sources. Which defeats the point of limiting the lists in the first place.
Never mind. I have deleted the contact storage data and let it rebuild. Problem appears to be corrected.
Well, my work finally told me to cancel my personal phone and go pick out whatever I want to replace the horrid iPhone 4 they gave me (*shudder* 8gb). I should be able to pick up my nexus 6 from telus tomorrow! I'm looking for a good way to seperate my work from personal and was wondering if user accounts would accomadate this. Some info...
I have a personal gmail as well my work uses gmail
I keep 2 separate calendars, although some items I put on both (haven't checked into if I can auto accept invites from one account to the other)
This is a small company. I have complete control over my phone (they don't restrict the apps/useage in any way)
Now to the detailed questions.. Of how separate user accounts are...
Will photos taken from each profile only be viewable from the profile that captured it?
Are text messages completely separate?
Are contact lists seperate ?
From what I have read, apps can be separate (I actually have work related apps I don't want to have to scroll past when looking for the tribez Lol)
If you know anything else about user accounts I would really appreciate the knowledge! All the articles I find basically just explain how to set them up and restrict access
