Is it possible to change the custom boot greeting you chose when building the phone on MotoMaker? Or are you stuck with the one you chose for eternity? Thanks
Hopefully there's a root workaround in the near future.

When you factory reset the phone you have the option of wiping out the greeting. So not exactly what you wanted, but it is possible to get rid of it.

I thought it was a text setting over the bitmap ...my bad ... thanks!
Is it possible to add a power on welcome text to my Moto X Style?
Long story short; I live in Malaysia and I have to pick one of the standard colours for the Moto X Style, and I can't create one in MotoMaker because it's only available in the US.
So, is it possible? Reply immideately.

can i dual boot 2 roms?
Yes and no. The closest thing to it is through an app called bootmanager that installs roms on your SD card which doesn't take long to switch between roms. But you can't truly dual boot off the phones internal storage.

Our device is not supported.
It won't help with trying to get the KU900 V30 to work on our P970 as it doesn't boot. I am not sure how they do this from what I can tell they boot much later by mounting their file image then booting from that. The problem we are facing happens before that, but it does look interesting.
EDIT: Those sizes you are looking for can very easily be found using any terminal emulator or adb shell.

To what extent does can it "emulate" the alternate ROM booting. Can we alter bootargs that are passed to kernel by u-boot. Their website actually tells me very little about how it is actually done.

Just the kernel won't help. We need to alter stuff before the kernel gets initialized and if we make a mistake then we might lose the ability to go into SW Update mode and we can't risk that.
We can easily re-flash kernels as is so that's not the problem.

Hi Guys...I remember having carrier logo change option in one of my HTC ONE running Venom ROM.
It had option to download different carrier logos and set it up.
Can anyone share similar app or MOD for Xperia SP? It would be cooler i believe

hi,
I can't post in the developer sections, so a question here:
Has anyone rooted their UK moto X yet? Comes with 4.4.2
the motorola chat said they expect we'll be able to unlock the bootloader but I'm not holding my breath.
But rooting? Yes please!

as of right now there is no root for 4.4.2 so you have to wait and see if someone finds a way to get root
or wait and see if you can unlock your bootloader.

Did you paste the numbers in one line correctly? I've heard others getting invalid responses when the numbers aren't in correctly.
Otherwise, I just followed the instructions here:

So the new moto X can be customized to show a greeting on the boot screen. Now I know its not a big thing but I was curious of that could be implemented on our phones? I am running Carbon Rom currently with Xposed.
Any ideas?

It's a .png just like the logo and padlock so you should be able to modify it as long as the image retains the same size and file name.

I think it fixed SELinux in recovery mode, else there was a little warning saying: "No se linux support"
But to add it in the OS as well was too much work.
The wifi one wasn't done by me, but by @0lvin , I never used it.
