Indeed, so for the unrooted ones in europe/USA this is the better version if you do not want to wait for the update.

this plea isn't valuable, because in front of "original" there is "development". you just screwed up, like other blinded

Is it possible to flash this ftf to C5502 ZR HSPA? I want to buy ZR but only HSPA version is available in my place.

Yes but some say that wifi and network are unstable, and some have no issues at all with c5503 firmware on c5502.

I'm actually uploading 9 firmwares and will update my thread soon. There is the one from Philippines if you're interested. Hong Kong didn't get the 4.3 deployment yet

I have flashed this NCB on my previous HK 4.2 C5503, works perfectly, (Mario.D thank you), if you don't need region specific bundle ware, try it.

India already got the 4.3 update, can you please upload the Indian ftf?

C5502 ? Unfortunately I'm not able to download fws for it at the moment

This if the FTF for the US LTE version of the Xperia Tablet Z; I haven't seen it located anywhere else. I pulled this using Apollo89's instructions at the following link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334653

UPDATE: The FTF itself is not rooted. In fact, flashing this on top of rooted 4.3 with dual recovery removes root and recovery. But 4.4.2 on SGP351 can be rooted by using TowelRoot (see attached screenshots). See the following link: http://towelroot.com/

[FTF] Xperia ZR C5502 Lollipop 5.1.1 stock firmwares

The Sony Xperia ZR is a touchscreen-enabled, HD Android flagship high-end smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Sony Mobile.
The phone was announced by Sony at CES 2013 and was released on 17 May 2013 in Japan. The Xperia ZR was initially shipped with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) and has been updated to Android 4.4 recently. The smartphone has Ingress Protection Ratings of IP55 and IP58, making it dust protected, low pressure water jet protected, and waterproof. Sony's internal test showed that there are no water intrusion after testing Xperia ZR in 1.5-metre of water for 30 minutes. Xperia ZR also features a 13 MP IMX135 Exmor RS camera sensor as well as a HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display, encompassed in Sony's Industrial 'Omni-Balance' Design.
Pre-requisites:
Before we go any further, Please check your phone model number by going to Settings -> about phone -> Model number, If yours match this Number C5502, Then you are good to go.
Make sure your phone's battery is above 50% charge.
Original USB cable.
How to update your Sony Xperia ZR C5502 to Android Lollipop 5.1.1?
To make sure Sony drivers will install properly on your PC, Download the latest version of Sony PC Companion from here and install it.
Download Flashtool from here and install it.
Download Sony FTF file from one of the links provided below :

Generic Saudi Arabia (Customized SA) AndroidHost - AndroidFileHost
Generic Singapore (Customized SG) AndroidHost - AndroidFileHost
Generic Middle East (Customized MEA) AndroidHost - AndroidFileHost

Now go to C:Flashtool and run Flashtool.exe, Click on the Flash icon in the left, Select Flashmode and press OK.
From the source folder in the top navigate to the folder where you downloaded the FTF file earlier and press OK.
Select the FTF file from the Firmware menu and click Flash.
Now wait until a window prompts asking you to plug your phone with USB cable.
Power off your device.
Press the volume down button and plug the USB cable, The update should begin...
Wait until the update is completed, Unplug the USB cable and reboot your device.
The first boot should take some time...
Now you have successfully update your phone.

How do I get recovery on unlocked bootloader 5.1.1? I would prefer methods without having to flash 5.0.2 back. Like it will be great if there is any stock 5.1.1 kernels with recovery.
And if its not possible without going back to 5.0.2 then how do I get it by doing so?
Edit: Problem solved. I have root and recovery now..

Go to @Nut's website and download the ZR lockeddualrecovery zip or installer.
If you are already on 5.1.1 with root then download the installer on your pc, extract it and run the file after enabling usb debugging and connecting your phone to the pc.
If you are on some other android version with recovery and are going to flash your rom then use the flashable zip and flash it from revovery.

These codes refer to the region or the country this FTF image made to.. (ex. CE means this FTF is made for Central Europe users, BR for Brazil, ES for Spain, SG for Singapore , etc...). These FTF files could also vary according to your operator.
Note: Search the whole thread not only OP to find the right FTF. You can also make your own FTF using Xperia firmware downloader tool and Flashtool.
