Unable to see Dolphin HD market

I'm using the latest Vegantab and TNT lite, did market hack on both roms and still cannot see Dolphin HD or Skyfire browsers in market. Anyone else also get this problem or am I the only one here?

I also have this problem. It had always been there in TNT Lite 2.4 and Zpad 3.0 but with Vegan 5.1 I can't find it.

When you do the market fix, make sure you clear the market cache. That SEEMED to do the trick for me. (That or the eighth time doing the fix was the charm).

Keep repeating the fix.
Repeat steps: Google framework ---force close---then go back---clear cache---reboot.

Me too. Very frustrating.

I am having the same issue. When I go into the Market, I cannot clear the cache (the button is not active). I have tried all the steps in the post and cannot get the market to display skyfire or dolphin browser. Anyone have a suggestion?

Download dolphin mini just as good or restore trought titanium

I've seen a few variations of the Market fix. The one that seemed to work best for me on VEGAn Tab Beta 5.1 is this:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All
1. Google Services framework - Force Close
2. Market - Force Close
3. Google Services framework - Clear Data
Then go open Market and make sure you get the error.
I have tested this in VEGAn Tab 5.1 3 times... works like a charm. Many of the methods I've seen posted mention clearing cache for Market and I haven't seemed to need to do that, but if Steps 1-3 don't achieve the desired result, add Step 4 of clearing cache for Market.
I'm using Dolphin HD on VEGAn and loving it!

The Video worked GREAT for me also.
I accidentally skipped the step where I was to restart the Market after I cleared data and FC Google Services Framework. I just rebooted. But it still worked for me.

I have tried all the suggestions and I still cannot get the full market. Anyone have any other ideas?

I tried many mods but I still dont see the paid applications. But I see nearly all the free apps (I think).

Which OS are you running? Stock, Vegan, etc? you first need to have the mahimahi fingerprint.. install Vega if your on stock... once you do that
do only in this order:
go into market, register and navigate - it will be limited
force stop market, force stop google services framework, clear market cache (only cache), clear google service framework data (and only data)
Launch market and get error
Reboot
Wait 2 minutes.. then launch market

Its a market issue... it comes and goes... it has been exceptionally bad the last few days! If you keep trying eventually it will download.

The video really works, I'm on VEGAn Beta 5.1 and I have roughly 98.9% market .
I still can't get Vlingo Virtual Assistant to come up on Market via my GTAB.

Can housed tank hero?

I couldn't see tank hero, but here's a trick that works for me. Use titanium backup, then wipe data for market first, then wipe data for Google services framework, then start market and see tank hero. You should see the accept screen when you start market.
This seems to be mutually exclusive w the usual market fix, I.e. you'll need to do the regular fix to see what you usually see. Kind of a pain ...

Okay time to add on to this quick post at the start of the thread. I am running this on VeGan Tab as the ROM of choice. The App switches from portrait to landscape mode with a minor reload. The search look exactly the same as before. One of the cool feature is the ability to side scroll between the home screen and categories to the left and top paid, top free, top grossing, top new free, and trending. From each of these you can scroll up and down. The scrolling is just a tiny bit laggy but not a hugh issue. Clicking on an app opens a nicely laid out window which fills the entire display and is well laid out in my opinion. The one odd issue is when you click on the screen shots they only display in portrait mode. Also the movie preview streams are excellent they do not lag even on my slow internet connection.
It is my recommend for all tablet users 2.2 and higher to install this update to the app store

What I know of this update is that it is for 2.2 and higher. from the google blog...
Recently, we’ve been hard at work improving Android Market to give you new ways to find great applications and games, purchase books, and rent movies. Today, we’re releasing a new version of Android Market which makes all of these available on phones (Android 2.2 and higher).
So I take it this is not on the HC builds and it can be used on the HC builds. As with anything like this your mileage will vary. I just put my two cent worth in on the update.

Tried on Stock 3588 but no go which of course I did not think it would work.

I like the new Market however I keep getting a force close if I try to add a customized icon shortcut via Better Cut. I have to drag the app icon from the application menu & add it to my launcher bar, which is fine but I can't use a customized icon.

I am running this on Flashback rom with no problems.
Actually have two Markets to pick from for now so I'll wait and see which I like better.
Downloaded Zinio from new market and updated a few apps no problem.
Now if we can get Netflix to work on Flashback this would/will be a great tablet and replace my laptop.

Anybody try it on HC yet? I really like the layout of the HC market.

Im on Vegantab GE and I get a force close after a few seconds every time I open it. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing data, going into CWM and clearing cache and data there and even fixing permissions. Nothing seems to work. Anyone else experiencing this?

Had this happen to me but doing something different. Before you go wild and try a lot of things, I found out that this may be caused by your contacts getting corrupted. If you have Titanium backup and can get into it, wipe your contacts/account data and you'll be fine.
If not, you most likely DON'T have to NVFlash your device- just wipe your data&cache if you have CWM recovery installed.

i'm getting the FC too and this isn't working. i wiped contacts data and it didn't work. cleared cache and dalvik and still didn't work. i even wiped market data and google services framework like we did back then for the market fix. still nothing. what exactly am i supposed to wipe in titanium?

I've ran it on flashback 5.4 with no problems, but i like the hc version better.

Yeah, the contacts don't have anything to do with the market so Im not even going to bother. Are you runing Vegan Gingeredition? If you are it may be safe to assume that the issue is a conflict there. Need more feedback from others running Vegan GE to know for sure. For know I just reverted back to the orig market and it runs fine, I don't plan on renting any movies anyway, (not that they play on rooted devices) so not having the new market doesnt bother me a lot.

yea i am running vegan ge as a matter of fact. looks like the issue is there. still havent put hc on mine yet because the process seems so long and complicated. gonna have to put a day aside to do it.
the new market is awesome tho. i have it on my droid 1 with no issues. i guess ill just have to stick with the original market for now. i dont care about the movies or books either but it just looks so cool haha

Youtube/Vimeo not working on CM 10.1 on Nook HD+

Hello. I followed the instructions to put CM10.1 on my Nook HD+ from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317500
Most everything is working just fine except for one big problem--Youtube and Vimeo don't work.
Youtube says "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry." and Vimeo says "An unknown playback error has occurred".
Some steps taken:
1) Changed to and from HQ.
2) Tried 4 different internet connections.
3) Cleared data/caches for the app.
4) Rebooted device.
Did I maybe miss a step on the installation?

If you were using a browser, try a different browser or reinstall. Also, are you using any ad-blocker or special programs? Google hates those and I have no idea if any side effects would result from those. I had a similar problem with firefox after tweaking some parameters but a reinstall of firefox fixed it. (the error was unsupported format, though) Also, Youtube does have an app not installed by default in CM10.1 gapps. You may try the app if not already done.
You may also install an app called catlog, it is great for debugging purposes...and may show you any system errors if there were any.

I'll try the catlog app.
I'm playing from the Youtube and Vimeo apps, not a browser, so it should work in those. I'm not using an adblocker or anything like that. I just tried wiping to factory defaults but that didn't fix it. Very perplexed.

Hmm, well Catlog doesn't show any changes upon trying to load a video.

Fixed it!
The problem was the I had changed my build.prop in order to install an app. This disabled Youtube and Vimeo for some reason or another. I did this, as described here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2263553 ) :
- Nook app reports incompatible in market (workaround1: just sideload it ; workaround2: change ro.product.device to nookhdplus in build.prop) - This is because they specifically blacklist Nooks! Note that workaround #2 will actually kill your sound, so revert back when you are done.

Changing it back to the default, ovation, fixed the problem.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Youtube will not work for me either, but I never edited the build.prop. I double checked just to be sure and the ro.product.device is still ovation. I'm currently on the 7/3 build, but youtube hasn't worked for me in any of the previous builds either. Now I'm not getting an error message it just crashes the app every time.

Yup. Youtube app(s) plays 1-3 videos per boot, then just freezes/crashes after. After a reboot it works again only to repeat.
This has happened on every CM10.1 emmc and carbonrom so far. It also happens on my rooted HTC one S sometimes. I get catlogs relating to loading ads, so I assumed it's some google server-side issue.
I never bothered too much with it, because honestly, the less youtube in life the better.

I have run into the same problem.
I didn't change anything in ro.product.device or something like that, just followed the standard instructions.
Has anyone found a solution for this?

[Q] CM 10.1 runs very slow and apps keep closing/crashing

I just recently got a nook hd+ and rooted it, I did three full wipes for safe measure using TWRP wiped everything but the sdcard prior to installing cm-10.1.3-RC2-ovation.
I noticed it had a good amount of lag when switching home screens, opening apps, opening the app drawer, recent apps ect.
And apps would run slow and close/freeze on me, for instance I was on chrome entering in a url and everything would freeze for a sec then inputs what I entered, and with only three to four tabs open and it keep closing on me, even the stock browser.
Also when I have any background apps running like say iHeartRadio playing in the background and say Facebook in the foreground after about 20 to 30 seconds sometimes instantly iHeartRadio will close with no errors or FC popups.
I am now running cm-10.1.3-ovation (Stable) since its release, did a clean installation (full wipe) and still having all the same problems,
Is this a known issue? Did I do something wrong? Anyone else experiencing the same?

I have had some problems, but most of them seem to be caused by chrome. Chrome clearly has stability issues as evidenced by the near daily updates. The browser that comes with CM works quite well.

So I removed chrome and wiped both dalvik cache and cache also used SD Maid, but still experiencing the same issues.
This thing runs so slow it doesn't seem right, I mean my hp touchpad runs loops around this and it's also running 10.1 not overclocked and it doesn't crash and hang all the time
I think with me being a noob at rooting I must have done something wrong when I rooted,

I'm experiencing approximately the same situation, the system is relatively slow and my browsers keep crazing (Firefox, chrome and Opera).
But I also have another problem : the keyboard layout sometimes doesn't appear when needed, is anyone having the same issue?

i have the 32gb hd+ and don't recall having those issues but i used CWM since that's what all the devs seem to prefer. Also , i switched to the tweaked xperia rom that was recently updated. i feeel like it's snappier and i like the tweaks he made to it.

I actually have two 16gb models one with CWM other has TWRP, both have the same issues, is the xperia rom a stock android-like or a Sony-like rom? Do you think it is stable enough for everyday use?

I did when I first installed CM, but haven't really noticed it as of recently, plus I use hackers keyboard from the play store, not sure if it was the stock keyboard or it just started working better over time (if that's possible :-\)

Chrome crashing after upgrading to Android 11

This is the first time I've seen weird behaviour on Chrome and it started after installing Android 11. When I open Chrome it just closes right away. I need to open it about 10-20 times for it to finally stay open. I tried installing Chrome beta and it works better although sometimes it gives the same issue.
I tried clearing all the data in Chrome but didn't help. Wondering if anyone had this issue or has suggestions to fix.

Since chrome beta is a stand alone app and can be run beside chrome, it seems you have some kind of hard configuration error or corruption. I'm guessing you have already uninstalled/reinstalled the app. If you are unlocked I would try a dirty flash using the full image (not OTA). Next I would backup everything and wipe the phone, installing 11 fresh. Sometimes stuff happens and you just have to reinstall. Not a bad idea going from 10-11. In addition to chrome beta, I use Firefox beta because it supports extensions (eg. uBlock). If the thought of wiping your phone is too much work for this single issue, it may be time to try another browser. Best of luck and let us know how you get it resolved.

Turns out it was app list mode on edxposed that was causing the issue. After disabling it, it works normally again!
