A few days ago,I tried to mod CM so that there would be transparent status bar.Decompile,editing and recompiling works successfully.But SystemUI would not install and it failed.So now I'm asking you guys which are more experienced than me,to create the transparent status bar in your free time,or give me guides on how to do so.Thanks!

I don't know anything about editing some system files, but have you tried an Xposed module? There are modules doing that, but i don't know if it works, since i've never used CM yet. May not be the answer you are looking for but you might give it a shot if everything else fails. Cheers.
There is a way. Just ask this guy: rodman01 He did it twice for me. But it has to be done for every rom and every single version. I don't know if there is a way to do it generaly but you can ask him to explain how he does it.

Hey guys anyone knows how to put cm9 softkeys? Obviously its for cm9 (by maclaw). I really want to experience full ICS with the soft keys and my back button is all worn out. So any1 has or can make a flashable zip of the soft keys Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

this method messes up statusbar, making it same height as softkeys bar, so there's more to do with it also lockscreen gets messed up... i don't have much time today, but it's interesting...

got same problem, use apkmanager to build it and then just drag resources.arsc to original apk

There's a XPosed module that claims it do that : Notification Count

But that's doesn't work for me (GS4/CM11.2)

nope there was a notification from the maintainer, that he has stopped development.

I am running Unity ROM with SafeStrap Recovery. Just wondering if anyone has tried the mod from the following post on G900A. I would really like to get this function available as I am kind of an NFC nut. Having to unlock my phone every time I read a tag is driving me crazy. What do you think?

lots of differences between stock and modded it will take some time to sort out, you can try using that devs modded apk and see if it works for you but make a good backup first

OK. Played with it a bit. The posted method did not work. I think the best work around, which I have been using for a few days is to use Wanam Xposed. I am unlocking with an NFC using a module from Secure Settings as well. I don't know how possible it is to add this as a feature of a ROM but it would be rad to be able to set it up without the shenanigans. Cheers!
Is there any way to make the status bar and pull down like AOSP Lollipop? I really don't mind anything else about this phone except for that.
I think only way is installing AOSP-rom... Not sure..
