Hi
I recently formated and partioned my external SD Card. I made 2 partitions one FAT32 and a Linux Swap.
As soon as I insert the Card my phone gets a bootloop.
Does anybody know why?
If I format the whole Card with FAT32 it works
Why does the Linux Swap Partition occur a Bootloop?
Cause the Semaphore kernel doesn't support Swap by default
Sorry didn't update my Signature...
I'm on Hellybean 19.09.2013 and Hellybean should support Swap I thought?
Do I have to set my Linux Swap Partition to Primary?
In the tutorial I watched it wasn't set as primary...
Edit:
Solved it
My Guide was wrong you really have to set both partitions as primary

Hello,
Is there any possibility to run two different android builds on one phone and making it actaully work? Today I am running only an NAND build, but I also want to run an android build from my sd card so I can experiment. I have tried to partition my sd card several ways, but it doesn't seem to work.
I have partitioned a sd card of 2 gb into 1gb of FAT (ubuntu doesn't offer the ability to format into the FAT32 format), 800mb of EXT2 and 100 mb of Linux Swap. And I placed the build I wanted to install (Scooter's Cyanoenmod 7.1) into an andboot folder on the 1 gb FAT partition. But still no succes so what am I doing wrong?
*Also how does one actually switch between the sd card installed and NAND installed android builds?*
set the sd partitions for system and data in atools.
Create 3 partition on sd:
- fat32
- ext3
- ext3
flash the new nbh and then reinstall the new rom.
I tried to make a EXT4 partition on my SD card to use it for A2SD. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard, it went well. But after I restarted the phone, nor the MiniTool Partition Wizard, nor the Windows Disk Management can't see the EXT4 partition. I just lost ~200MB of space from my 2GB card. Is there a way to repair this or can I think about buying a new SD card?
Also, in CWM recovery everything associated with EXT partitions gives me errors.
ROM: Prime HD 5.0
Kernel: nAa-11

L.E.:
Problem solved. Partition SD in the advanced menu of recovery.
Try running these commands in the terminal (the EXT partition will be formated):
Code:
su
a2sd formatext
If you get an error, you will need to use GParted (a Linux partition tool) to create correctly the EXT partition.
EDIT: Gparted also can recover your "lost space" if you wish.
I partitoned my 8gb sd card with mini partition tool
6.xx...gb as primary fat32 and 800mb as ext4 primary
now after using it for some time..now i wanted to do a fresh repartitioning
so i formatted the sd card using cwm recovery...
Now I inserted my sd card into the laptop sd card slot..(using adpater)
Now the mini partition tool only recognizes 6.5GB as primary fat32 but its not showing any 800 MB ext4 partition
I tried deleting fat32..i thought may b it vl now show up ext4..but nothing jus 6.XX GB unallocated
but i want whole 7.XXGB unallocated so that i can repartition everything again
So wat do i do to get my the whole 7.xx GB memory back??

Using mini partition tool, delete both the partitions and format it to fat32

What filesystem is on your 2nd partition of the SD card? Make sure you select the correct filesystem in Link2SD when you create the mount script.
Mount the 2nd partition of your SD Card and transfer a file to it to make sure its been set up properly then delete the file.
Try repartitioning the SD card with ClockWorkMod Recovery, it does a better job of partitioning and creating filesystems on flash memory than partitioning tools meant for rotating storage.
Repartition using a different filesystem, when I setup Link2SD the only one that I could get to work was FAT32 but since you have the Razodroid ROM which includes Rafael's kernel I would have thought any FAT or ext filesystem would have worked. Incidentally before I got it working I was getting a similar error regarding "Mount script cannot be created" IIRC.
Hi i used ext4, but i just can make a link , when i check the capacity show me 200Mb total memory

So it's working then or not?
Link2SD works by basically fooling Android into believing an app is on internal memory when its on the SD card. It does this by moving files to the SD card and then creating a link to them in internal memory. So you won't see an increase in internal memory capacity by using Link2SD. However when you link an app with Link2SD you will free up space in the internal memory which allows you to install far more apps.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955422
, but read carefuly the instructions !!!

RazoDroid v2.5 build version has had Link2SD removed i assume this was done for a reason as its a popular app, it might be worth checking out the thread to see if they mention why. Just a thought have you checked to make sure that both Partitions are primary?

Hi,
I've stock ICS (rooted, with Kowalski kernel M1) on my P990. I've a 32GB SD card, and I wonder if I can mount it automatically with ext4, NTFS of exFAT file system. Currently it only accepts FAT32, anything else will be unmounted automatically.

I know for sure that NTFS does not work.
eXFATshould work... You should check if there are patches for this.
Is your current card with Fat 32 working with Windows PC, this will check if your card is not out of order.
