[JB 4.1.2 & rooted]
The thing is, if the phone is on for a day or two, it maybe (not definitely) miss some of the messages for a while, that is, in some period, you won't receive any messages. It's not carrier's problem, and when it's on 246, it never happened
Anyone suffers the same problem? Any thoughts?

I have this problem with my Kaiser. After receiving 200-300 text messages within a short period (around 2-3 hours), my phone becomes unusable and I have to soft reset it.
I'm currently using L26's KaiserDiamond V9 ROM with 1.65.20.29 radio, but I also had similar issues with my original ROM & radio.
Symptoms:
- Text messages are sent, but I never receive them (after I soft reset, those messages never arrive, they are lost)
- Audio loss sometimes (sound driver crashes or something)
- No phone calls can be received
- Sometimes I receive phone call and when I answer it, I cannot hear anything, and cannot hang up.
The weird thing is that I had the same problems with my previous phone (HTC Artemis) and similar problems with my HTC universal. This makes me think that it can be a very annoying limitation of the WM devices.
Has anybody else come across such problem? Is there a solution?
My job involves receiving massive amounts SMS notifications, and this problem makes my life very difficult.
has anyone else ever had the phone keep vibrating when receiving a txt? i have to shut down to stop it vibrating...happens once a day i'd say. i had this issue on both stock rom and duttys so maybe its my device?
shameless bump.
still happening
I had the same problem today when I received a SMS. It didn't happened to me before. The "only" thing I've done is update swisscom ROM (stock 1.93)...
i cant tie it down to anything, seems to be random as far as i can tell. mighty annoying. going to convert all my ringtones to see if that helps
me too
It has happend for me too, about 10 times.
It seems to be very randomly.. and mighty irritating! Have to soft reset to stop the vibrating.
Don't have a clue onm what is the cause of it
what ringtones have you guys been using?
I used to suffer from this problem and in my case it was caused by MS Voice Command, disabling it solved the problem. In the end I also uninstalled it as well, shame as I did like my texts being spoken aloud but the constant vibration was far too annoying...
just like to add that since updating to shaks roms ive not had this issue. maybe htc addressed it in 2.03 roms
Got my O2X 2 days ago. Since then im experiencing problems receiving messages. Some arrive instant, some arrive 6-12 hours later.
Upgraded Baseband. Same sim oder mobile device works.
Bug from the phone or do I have to blame my provider? Someone got an idea?
This is a known problem. But often messages don't arrive at all.
The reason why this is happening is software crashing.
And if messages goes into a crash and restart loop, you may experience huge battery drain and never receive your messages.
Solution: Install a custom ROM without LG Messages.
Greetings!
Lots of my friends have been telling me that my phone sends texts 3-5 times. I've had the vivid since the day it came out and I've used multiple roms. I currently have holics on it, but i've heard it even when I was on stock. So, I'm like hmmm? Usually a reboot fixes it but I dont want to do that every few hours. Could it be AT&T? Vivid? GOsms Pro? It just really bugs me, because I know I hate receiving dup texts. I usually hear "wtf why did you send that 3 times?" a day..
Anyone else having this issue?

I have had this happen ever since i activated a iphone 3G on my account years ago. I get multiple sent and received.. i dont know what caused it, but i just ignore it.
i find it happens with iphones most, but it also happens with other phones
i havent had this issue since i been using a non lte rom
I had it happen to me, and (at least in my case) I think I've narrowed down the potential cause.
I wrote a small app to send a specific text to a specific number. It works - well, ... kind of. After sending the first text, the SMS system appears to freeze, and won't allow any subsequent messages to be sent from any SMS app - not just the one I wrote - until I reboot the phone. When I do, the clogged messages are released. This would include any re-sends I may have attempted, resulting in dupes.
So my semi-literate guess is that it has to do with an incompatible SMS app, which probably locks the outbound socket for a while.
......then again, I may be way off base.

Hey guys,
I've been having an issue for the last little while that I can't seem to find the solution to anywhere.
A little background info:
phone is htc one m7 - rogers version running viperone 6.2.1
I've been using viperone since 6.0 and I love it. Before that I was on cleanrom.
The issue pertains to sending sms (regardless of what messaging app I use, stock, hoverchat, before that was fb messenger).
What basically happens is during an sms conversation, and at random times, I attempt to send an sms but it fails to send.
The message then sends on the second attempt, however the person i'm talking to receives a double message.
I also notice on the very left side of the status bar, near the edge, an icon appears and disappears when sending or
receiving an sms. It flashes so quickly that i cannot make out the icon. From what I notice, this happens on every send/receive message.
It's not a huge issue, but definitely an annoyance that I would like to fix.
All of your help would be greatly appreciated.

Try reflashing your rom.
Try another rom.
(Make a backup of current rom first, just in case)
The exact same issue happened on each new version of viperone, and from what I remember, on cleanrom as well. When I did move to viperone, it was a full wipe.
Could this possibly be firmware or radio related issue?
