Any anti-fingerprint screen protector reccomendations? - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need a protector for BOTH front and back, but both sides must also be Anti-fingerprint. After just one day of handling, the phone is riddled with prints on both front and back. I was looking at this item:2pcs-SONY-XPERIA-Z1-Frosted-Anti-Fingerprint-SCREEN-PROTECTOR-FILM-SET-HD-L39h But am unsure if both sides are anti fingerprint so i sent the seller an email still waiting. Also the "frosted" worries me as I don't want it to wash out the colors on the phone.Does anyone else have any good relatively cheap recommendations?

-i am pretty sure it isn't frosted:

i use these for my XZ and they are amazing!!!
-this is the frosted version:

Ok thanks i ordered the HSR version.

[Q] Best Screen Protector

Can you guys post the brand screen protector you're using and your thoughts? I'm just looking for a protector and flirting with the idea of a full skin. No bulky plastic or gells, I don't want to hide this beauty! Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I don't think you need to buy a screen protector, this phone has gorrilla glass

Damn, this phone doesn't have gorilla glass. Got HTC HD2 with gorilla glass before, so I can compare.
Got the Vikuiti DQC160 from amazon for about 10 bucks. Ist really good an worth every buck.
Greetings
yes it does dude!
Go to the gorilla glass website and see for yourself.
but either way you can still buy a screen protector for the heck of it

Thanks for the info, I'm a n00b with smartphones/touch screens so I'm already ****ting my pants before I get it because I don't know how the screen will hold up. I currently have a Sony X10 Mini for a couple months and I have a tiny scratch on it that pisses me off.
I know what you mean..my previous smartphone had some scratches on the screen and it killed me.
And your welcome dude

Screen Protector
Does the Vikuitti screen need to be cut and does it "grab" the screen or does one need other tools to make it ?
I had to buy a Vikuitti a couple months back for my Glossy Notebook, very good ...
Any other Screen Protectors working ?
Hi,
i'm using DCMuggen clear from eBay and fine.

I think you just bought a low quality matte type screen protector that's why it's look like ugly. It happens to me but my friend suggest to me that try to use CAPDASE matte type screen protector and then booom i easily notice the big difference between CAPDASE and my previous screen protector. CAPDASE gives much clearer view. It look like clear type even though it is a matte type. I choose matte type because of anti finger prints and oil. I didn't need to clean it from time to time.

Spigen Ultra Crystal fuzzy moisture look

so I received my Spigen Ultra Crystal screen protector, and I was able to put it on perfectly 1st go, no dust, no bubbles.
however it's made my screen look....fuzzy, like there's moisture underneath, but I didn't use the shower method so I don't know what moisture it would be.
Should this fix itself up after a couple of days?
Mines fine, it never had a moisture look, sometimes it gets a little fuzzy when its dirty, after a wipe its fine.

I just put it on, used the squeegee to pop bubbles, then gave it a rub down a few times with the included cloth.
Non fuzzy....
Sounds like you may have ordered anti glare, they have a fuzzy look because its a matte finish
Yeah...mine is fine....maybe you've got the ultra "optic" instead

yeh, sorry, double checked and I got the Ultra Fine, coz I wanted the Matt finish.
everything is great, I love the feel, its just this thing where it seems to really accentuate the pixel colours especially on my white background. it seems to slightly show all different pixel colors on the whites.
Hopefully it sorts itself out in a couple of days...

That is one of the characteristics of those type of screen protectors. That won't go away.
Question for you guys who have the Ultra Crystal or Ultra Oleophobic...
Does the Ultra Crystal show finger prints or smudges very bad?
Does the Ultra Oleophobic have an actual matte finish to keep fingerprints from showing up?
I'd prefer a smooth/clear finish.

I ordered the oleophobic because they are supposed to be clear with an oil resistant coating.
That's what I'm hoping. I'm sure these have been talked about before for other phones...I need to run a search. Thanks!

I should be getting my phone tomorrow. After I install the Oleophobic sp, I'll try to post up pics of it.
Thanks

I just put the oleophbic on mine. I have a couple random dust like spots under mine but it definitely isn't matte. It kind of has a tacky feel though. I might just continue naked until a glass protector comes out.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
The oleophobic ones are easier to clean but also easier to scratch where the ultra clear is their best screen protector yet, with it being 25% better than the last one. I went with the ultra clear, but I still want to try the oleophobic, seems like a good idea. Either one is fine, don't have any complaints about the ultra clear, just my 2 cents.
Also the glass protectors won't be out for a while.
I have the oleophobic one and compared it with my friends gnote 2 without a screen protector. SGP Oleophobic screen protector does indeed make the screen look fuzzy.
Crystal version is very good. Clarity is comparable to the GlasT I had on the Note I. Actually, I think I might stick with the Crystal, as it works great with the S pen.
How bad do fingerprints and smudges show up with the UC? That's the main issue I'd like to avoid, of course without sacrificing clarity.
From my experience with the oleo for my note 1 .....the oil resistant layer doesn't last that long at all

Question for ppl that use Full Body Skins

Do they protect the chrome ring around the camera? Also what about the raised speaker grill on the back cover?
Kind of annoyed that those parts are raised. I am OCD about scratches haha.
BTW BestSkinsEver came out with their full body skin if anyone wanted to know. They are always legit on price and great quality and reviews.
Thanks guys!
Some do. Mine doesnt. But it was $5 for two front and back protectors

what skin did you get? I usually get phantom skinz but they are around $25.
Xtreme guardz. They were having a sale
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
i bought skinomi full body skin , it was ok , precisely cut and took me more than an hour to install it.
it was completely invisible but was protecting all of the phone (front, back and those chrome sides)
however i removed it after a week to use the protective cover+ instead , it didn't add much grip to the device as well as having that awkward feeling of my phone might crack up on any impact cos it looked naked :silly:
the only annoying thing was the sides , they fit well but still u can feel them poping out on the edges , and trust me when u talk on the phone those things feel very annoying on yr ears and face..
so yeah to sum it up , it was a great skin but wasn't that suitable for my convenience
Since Xtremeguards were having sales I bought 3 front and 3 back screen protectors.
I used one on the back, then cut the front one in way that it doesn't protect the screen but only the edges of the screen ( I hate screens with screen protectors on ).
The I proceeded to cut the spared parts and used them to cover the chrome and the edges.
It's been a week now and it's working pretty good

U also can use skinomi they also offer lifetime warranty and are a better price. Same stuff as zagg and I personally think they are better. I never had them peeling off or getting that nasty yellow tint like the zagg do become.

Zagg is best I ever used
I got this at the store. The rep gave me an extra $50 off my XZ if I spent it on accessories (he gets commission on acc. I guess). The Zagg shield had all these bubbles in it after I put it on. I was worried. But most of them went away after a day, and all of them were gone after 2 days! Also, the surface feels great.:good:
If you've ever put a screen shield on before, you know how difficult all the bubbles are to get out. This material just doesn't care about bubbles. It's great!:good:
I use to be a zagg fan but ever since trying spigens glass t and tr i'll never use anything but tempered glass again the feels superior no finger prints not scratch it's great there's other company's also stop easy to install it practically does it itself

would still like to see pics of the phone with the casemate tough case and the spigen glass. I have rhino shield which is great but still picks up fingerprints.

I'm looking for buying one, just watched the videos from skinomi, I like how to apply it with the liquid and that we can try several time to get aligned correctly (unlike sony's film).
Do Spigen and Zagg also come with a liquid or to remove re apply several times ?
Sorry for noobish question but I never bought this type of screen protectors.
also do they all works fine upon sony's anti shatter film ? I can see the logo still here in skinomi video.
Zagg ship for free in europe that's a good point too.

Anyone try the GLAS Screen protector before?

Scare that the screen will be cracked and I don't want to use the flip case. I wonder is that necessary to use the screen protector like this :
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...otectors&var=460214742391&hash=item25833c60f5
it looks really good but the problem is will it too thick? and the price is seriously too high (for a screen protector).
Any suggestion?
But the glas.tr on amazon. It's tempered so if you drop the phone the screen protector might crack but your actual phone screen won't. Check some YouTube videos. Extremely durable.
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
It's a good glass protector albeit at the typical high price. No regular screen protector feels as smooth as a tempered glass protector but you'd have to wait for the generic ones to show up on ebay if you're looking for a lower price.
I think a good Screen protector is definitely worth it. when I got my Note 2 last year I didn't use a screen protector and chipped my screen within a week of getting it.

Ya, I check couple of youtube that's awesome to watch they use screw and hammer try to destroy it
Thanks for remind me it also sell on amazon and their company locate in CA which pretty closed to me!
I had one on my last device. Dropped it pretty nasty on concrete and while the Glas.Tr screen protector cracked in the corner, the device's screen was minty fresh and had no damage. If you drop your phone as often as I do, it's definitely worth it. I'm waiting till they officially release from Spigen on Amazon so I can use Prime on it.
Are the people on Amazon crying about bubbles popping up after a few weeks with the GLAS protectors typical morons, or is it not just a matter of user error?
Both lol they work fine. Ams Definitely worth the money
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk 2
I can install regular plastic film protectors without bubbles, lift, etc, but the glass one I just got has major issues with the corners lifting.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A
I have a glass one on my note 3. I love the feel. One thing the edges do like to stick up just a bit, but my case covers the lip. So no biggie there.
