Home button problem... - LG Optimus 2x

Possible a really stupid question... But I have already searched all over Cyanogenmod 10.1 settings
and I can't find where to select what I want the home button to do.
Not really an Issue, But I want to use holo launcher and tap the home button so that holo launcher
redirects me to my home screen when I want... That's where the problem comes in, When I tap the
home button it returns me to Cyanogenmod 10.1 default launcher and I have to launch Holo launcher
again...
So... Where do I set the home button setting in Cyanogenmod 10.1 default launcher?

when you've installed the 2nd launcher, at the first click of the home button the phone probbably asked you whether to launch default launcher or the new one, and you clicked the old one and selected always... so now the default launcher launches everytime you press the home button...
to undo this, go to settings > apps > find the default launcher app (trebuchet?) > scroll down to "launch by default" > click on "clear defaults"...
now when you click your home button - it should ask you whether to launch default launcher or the new one (holo), select holo and tick "always"...

Thanks! That solved my problem, Now I can set holo as the default launcher
whith no problems!

Isn't there a button in Home Switcher that says "Make default" or something along those lines? Pretty sure there was when I was using it.

There is. Don't work on froyo at least. not sure about eclair.
yea set default worked fine in eclair....in froyo, the set default changes back to touchwiz after the press of home button....so had to clear the default and make the changes once again....

ADW Launcher - Can't long press anymore on Home Screen

EDIT: This has been resolved, at the expense of my own ignorance and embarrassment! Thanks for the help, folks.
For whatever reason, all of a sudden, I can't seem to long press on any icons or on the wall itself on my ADW Launcher home screens. So I can't move or delete icons or widgets nor add any new widgets and etc. from that "add" menu. However, I can long press in the app drawer and in folders, and basically anywhere in the phone except for the home screen.
I've tried clearing cache, reverting back to stock launcher (where I can long press fine anywhere), resetting ADW, and rebooting my phone, etc. Nothing seems to fix it. Holding down on an icon will just result in the orange highlight staying on indefinitely.
Clearly it's an issue with ADW, but has anyone experienced this?
did you unlock adw in the menu? you may have locked the desktop.

Download "Home Switcher" from the Market (free). Open it, then hit "Clear Default" on the bottom. It'll bring you to your current launcher's system setting menu, then just hit "Clear defaults" near the bottom. Next time you hit your Home key, it'll ask what launcher you want; pick and choose and choose to make it default or not.
Hope that helps.

Or Menu -> [ADW Options -> Phone Settings (if using ADW) ] Applications -> Manage Applications -> Go to your launcher -> clear defaults
^^ If you know what launcher, you should anyways.

[Q] Help! Galaxy S loses home key binding after long press

Hi
I'm having a strange problem with my Galaxy S. The home button will "forget" which launcher it's been bound to after I do a long press. Here's the scenario :
1. I have ADW launcher as my default launcher, bound to the home key.
2. I press home key. It runs ADW Launcher. Perfect.
3. I long press home key. It brings up the list of recent apps. So far so good.
4. I press home key again. It now pops up a message asking me to choose ADW Launcher or the default TWLauncher. It has somehow forgetten ADWLauncher is my default.
5. I select ADW Launcher, and check the "Use by default" checkbox.
6. ADW Launcher becomes my default launcher for the home key, until I long press the home key again. Then it again forgets that ADWLauncher is my default launcher. Goto step 3 and repeat.
This is driving me nuts. It's very inconvenient since I long press the home key quite often. I'm going to try re-installing ADWLauncher, but I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this ? What would you suggest I do besides a hard reset ?
I'm on 2.2, stock rom, updated by Samsung officially ( not rooted ).
No one encountered this before ?

Home2 + AnyCut, the best way to switch home launchers

Moderators: this thread was originally a question, but is now a solution due to my exploration and problem-solving. If you can move to "general" it would be more helpful.
A lot of people mention using AnyCut to get to the Nook home after installing a third-party launcher. However, AnyCut + Home2 provides an easy way to switch launchers on the rooted Nook HD. I just set it up on mine by setting the "n" to launch Nova Launcher on first press and go to Nook home on the double press. Now, if you want it to go vice versa, going to Nook home first, then you only need Home2. However, if you want it to go to the other launcher first, then follow these simple instructions:
1. Open Home2
2. Tap the link to set an application to launch on home -> home.
3. Choose "Shortcuts"
4. Choose "AnyCut"
5. Choose "Activity"
6. Choose "Home" for Nook home launcher
7. Back in Home2, scroll down to choose whatever 3rd-party launcher you want to use.
8. Tap "Close"
9. Enjoy convenience.

A very neat solution. Thank you, will sure give it a go.
And here I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out how to get to the original nook launcher! I didn't realize that it was essentially blocked out whenever I had installed nova
I'm using Apex launcher. It has a setting to allow you to do something else with the home key when you're already at the Apex home screen. So my home key goes to the Nook home if I'm looking at the Apex launcher, but to the Apex launcher from anything else. Apex also has the functionality of the AnyCut app built in.
