ViperOne Rom

Hey guys. So I was looking in the internation htc one section and I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334294&highlight=viperone+on+sprint+htc+one
Does anyone think they can make it work for sprint or is it coming. It looks awsome. Sorry if its been asked already. I searched but couldnt find any reference.

You mustn't looked very hard, because ViperROM originally was for the Sprint version, and is one of the most popular ROMs for the phone.

well i think he's refering to venom rom, there is no rom for sprint until 4.2,2 drops

Reading the main ViperOne thread made it sound like the developers were still on the fence about porting it to Sprint. This was before the announcement of skipping 4.2.2. I also read mention of creating a poll to see the demand among Sprint users. Has anyone actually created a poll?

HERP DERP DERP super productive.

I don't have this update.

I wish I could care to get this update. 2 months for the "big update" huh? Will we be able to get a 4.2.2 sense room before then? Prob not since it's in Europe? Well that's too bad. Luckily I don't hate sense 5 like I did on my Evo3D

Don't you miss when you used to be able to download updates directly from Sprint and install them via PC? I remember doing that on my Samsung Moment when we were all at Android 1.6.
Anyway... small update or not, I can't flash it soon enough - I have problems with calls where I can't be heard and can't hear the other person. Hoping whatever changes to bring HD voice might fix my problems. Since I'm rooted, waiting on the changes to find their way into a ROM.

I haven't seen a single person claim to have 4.2.2 just one person stating that it would be funny and frustrating if someone had it the entire time.

My guess is he's lying, or someone would get in trouble if he released it. If that's the case, then why tell other people that you have it, and get them excited for nothing?

I was never un-calm lol. It makes no huge difference to me between 4.1.2 and 4.2.2.
Honestly I'm looking more forward to a radio update than I am to a 4.2.2 rom.

IMO if we have a pretty stable leak then that means that the official isn't too far off.

This is good news. Can't wait for the official from Sprint. I don't know what it is these days. Maybe I don't have enough time anymore, or I just don't care as much, I just like keeping mine stock. While I get impatient waiting for the updates, this is definitely coming faster than I ever expected it to.

ports are alright but I prefer working w/ factory rom/ota....hopefully we'll see a leak or official update for Sprint soon

i agree, if you want super stable stick with OTA roms.
however, its good to get a taste of whats to come
plus i like working on it just to learn more

HTC Butterfly S will be getting Android 4.4 aka KitKat

I really love my phone, but really want new updates and so on and we all know all the attention goes to the HTC One :/ . Therefore, I contacted some official HTC accounts on Twitter (HTC, HTC USA, HTC India and etc.). I finlly got an answer from the Russian HTC account . I'll have a screenshot below just for prood. It's in Russian so I'll translate. I asked "Others aren't helping may you please tell me when the Butterfly S will be getting Android 4.4?" they answered "Unfortunately we can't tell that. But according to the timing announced for other countries the update isn't oming soon.". I don't really know what that timing thing, but hey! We're gonna get KitKat sooner or later

where do you read in those line the Butterfly S is getting 4.4?

m8 outed
The m8 has been outed by a UK judge and apart from the snapdragon 800 processor and aluminum shell, it's expected to be the same as our devices. So it looks like we can hold on to our babies a little bit longer.

i still wait to get kitkat with sense

Well the Droid DNA has been updated with 4.2.2 recently and HTC said that 4.4 will be comming on Q1 of the year. So I expect our device will follow the DNA by giving us 4.3 first and 4.4 next year.

Honestly it isn't surprising that our device will get updates but the prediction before was either we're getting 4.3 or 4.4. If KitKat is comming, I expect similar timelines with the Droid DNA, so maybe Q1 next year.

Sense 5.5 w/ Android 4.4 for sprint?

So there is all kinds of android 4.4 sense 5.5 roms floating around the International forum for pretty much any Cell phone provider except sprint. Anyone know of one that is being made for sprint that I am missing?

Renovate is currently working on a 4.4/5.5 ROM.

Well a month before sprint got 4.3 I was running 4.3 with sense 5. and we got a KitKat CM rom like a week after KitKat was announced. It wasn't perfect but It worked enough. Why would this be any different?

Clean or dirty flash, doesn't make a difference. I have had it on InsertCoin, ARHD (my current rom), and some other various ones. It's only on sense roms, cm11 and 10.2 are fine, and I think that's because they don't have all the profile, prl update stuff. If you try to do either of those with that notification running, it says its already running, try again later. Viper didn't have it last time I was on the ROM. It would flash up upon boot sometimes, then it would go away. The rest of them never go away.

Yep, anxiously waiting. I'm constantly switching between 4.4 GE Roms and sense 5.5 Roms...
The kit Kat speed & features are nice but it's hard to give up the sense features and stability of the 4.3 Roms.

I never doubted you guys for a second I just don't know nearly enough too argue with anyone about this. You and OMJ have both made a lot of great roms and I have never seen where you said you had a sprint version. Thank you so much for working on this! You guys are awesome. I am excited.

Bro I just asked a question in the q&a thread. I don't know why you think this should be deleted. I wasn't calling anyone out or anything like that. I was just curious. I am more then greatful to the devs for all of their hard work. Mainly the only people that were calling anyone out on here were other devs.
