[Q] Downgrade HBOOT 1.54 to 1.44 - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
i know that someone may have asked this before, i have searched the forum a lot but i haven't found a detailed guide.
How can i downgrade my htc one HBOOT from 1.54 to 1.44? I want to S-OFF my phone and i've read that downgrading HBOOT is the only way because revone doesn't support 1.54.
Thanks in advance

I've already read this topic, anyway they are saying:
2. Have an old un-patched 1.44 HBoot or If on T-Mob or AT&T and on Patched 1.44 HBoot you have downgraded using one of the easy to find guides provided.
well then.. how to downgrade ?

You can't downgrade without being S-OFF, simple as that

The downgrade they're talking about only applies to AT&T or T-Mobile with patched 1.44 hboot. Doesn't apply to 1.54 and there's no way at this time to downgrade or S-Off 1.54

He probably got while still on hboot 1.44 (pre June 2013), and then just upgraded the firmware (including hboot to 1.54), that would not change S-Off status.

Exactly that ^
bobs ur uncle, fanny's ur aunt etc..........................
I guess it would be a good idea to post some pointers regarding this issue.
If you're s-on and on fw 1.54, you can't use revone to s-off.
Since you can't s-off, you are limited to flashing only RUUs that are compatible with your CID AND same or higher fw than you currently have on your device.
So to sum it all up, if you are on a higher fw than 1.44 and s-on, you are stuck there. The only possible way to s-off might be using a java card but I personally wouldn't go that way, even if you found some place that can do it.

So if going from 1.55 back to 1.44 is not possible. And Getting S-OFF with 1.55 is not possible.
Would Sprint be able to reflash my phone with either a working 1.55 or 1.44?

Try to s-off your phone with hboot 1.54 using rumrunner.

Can't get Moonshine to work (Is it 1.54 HBOOT?)

Does the S-OFF Moonshine method work with 1.54 HBOOT (As I see revone doesn't)? I'd like to change my CID as I really miss having the official English Google Keyboard in my Google Edition ROM however it keeps saying
ERROR: run distiller again and READ

You can if you've got hboot 1.44 but not with 1.54..... HTC closed the exploit with the updated firmware.
If you're s-off with 1.44 then upgrading the firmware won't lose you s-off.

Is it possible to downgrade your HBOOT? I'm guessing not but thought I'd ask! I also read everywhere that's its pretty risky and probably not worth it.

Even if you managed to once you rebooted the phone it would essentially brick, and to boot the new hboot you need to reboot.
Just going to have to wait

[Q] About 1.54 to 1.44 hboot

Hello everyone,
my phone statement is;
1.54 hboot, S-ON, HTC Unlocked, 2.24.401.x FW.
I just found local service in my city for s-off on 1.54 hboot via javacard. I will use that service. And i have questions:
after getting s-off on 1.54;
- How can i downgrade hboot to 1.44? RUU is enough for this?
- Is there a any other method?
- Is Nandroid backups contain hboot part?
- Can i write super CID on 1.54 S-OFF?
- Can i delete "Tempered" flag when i gain s-off on hboot 1.54?
Thank you,

- How can i downgrade hboot to 1.44? RUU is enough for this? (A 1.29.x or any RUU with hboot 1.44 will suffice)
- Is there a any other method? (You can flash a 1.44 hboot manually without any RUU)
- Is Nandroid backups contain hboot part? (No)
- Can i write super CID on 1.54 S-OFF? (Yes)
- Can i delete "Tempered" flag when i gain s-off on hboot 1.54? (Yes with revone if it works)

So you're going to pay for S-Off and then intentionally get rid of S-Off, and then upgrade, preventing you from gaining S-Off without paying again?
You know, it's probably best to leave it S-Off.
The OTA doesn't remove S-OFF, I went from 1.44 to 1.54 with no issues

[Q] Fake signed Hboot upgrade

I was wondering if it could be possible to upgrade to a fake signed hboot since downgrading with S-on is not possible?
like renaming the 1.44 hboot to 1.55 or 1.56 and changing the signature. I dont know anything about programming but would liek to know how one would go about doing this, if it is possible that is. Thanks

[Q] AT&T HTC One Downgrade

Hi hoping someone can chime in and help me out here. I have an att htc one with android 4.3 hboot 1.55 s-on unlock and root. I would like to flash with Google edition locked and unroot so I can receive OTA. From searching It seems that you can't do this unless you are s-off which requires you to be on 4.1 since revone does not work on 4.3? So what I was trying to do was downgrade to 4.1 android and hboot 1.44. Is this possible? I tried to flash the 1.44 hboot in ruu mode but it failed. Do i need to relock my phone then flash the 1.44 zip in ruu mode then use ruu exe for my carrier to flash 4.1? or is there a way to goto Google edition from 4.3? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rad
i would suggest you not try this since you do not know how to search you need to s-off first you can with rumrunner for hboot 1.55

Thanks for the help jerrycoffman45 I appreciate it. I did search but maybe not enough and focused on searching for 4.1 w/ 1.44 because I had read online about s-off not possible with revone on 4.3. Sorry about that and thanks again for helping.
