[Q] I am going to buy a galaxy note in 2 weeks..need to knw about game compatibility

I have read in your gaming thread that many games are not compatible with galaxy note.As i am a gaming freak.itz the main reason i want to buy galaxy note.I want to know in future will this game compatibility issue will be taken care of?or will games be released compatible with the high resolution of note...plz help me...thanx in advance

So far, a few games are not quite compatible with the Note, in the sense of looking too "soft" as they were not designed for the larger screen. The most notable fail for me is Adventures of Tintin in HD, which I was excited about seeing on a larger screen, as I purchased it when I owned the Galaxy S2. But the game is a different 2D version (horrible, ultra-pixelated 1980s game kind of look) on the Note. Subsequently, Gameloft prevented Note users from downloading the game but there's no refund. What a bummer, and certainly not an extremely pleasant experience dealing with the customer service, who sounded too matter of fact about it.
I suggest that you list the games that are critical to you, and some of us can help to check.

Help me with gta 3..nfs hot pursuit..9mm..i have read the whole gaming thread..for some people the games run for some they doesnt..vry confusing..

Can you spell out the names of the games? I don't play them...

for me, gta3 ran when i downloaded over wifi, but not when i downloaded over 3g (probably due to crappy 3g in australia leading to corrupted files).
there are many different gta 3 versions on the market, there should be one for your area.
as for gameloft games, most dont really work too well. gameloft arent too great with their device support yet, but theyre not as bad as ea games.

Hey I also game a lot and I just got my galaxy note.
From the gameloft games, I am able to run (well):
- backstab
- asphalt 6
- brothers in arms 2 (there is a free version on the market)
- modern combat 3 (now available on the market)
What I am trying to run but can't:
- tintin (2d version...no way to get the normal one, I also copied the data over but nothing)
- 9mm - doesn't download the data: incompatible device
- shadow guardian : tried the galaxy tab version...data downloaded, gameloft logo than back to main screen
- rainbow six shadow guardian: the desire hd version i bought some time ago doesn't run. I am trying a samsung version now...downloading the data still don't know whether it will work
- let's golf 3: nothing...incompatible device. copying the data over doesn't help.
Other games:
- dead space: not on the market but you can find it and runs flawless
- shadowgun: no problems. available on the market
- shine runner : on the market
- riptide gp: same
- GTA 3 should run without problems...i still have to buy it, i have to finish some games before playing gta.
- sprinkle : flawless (no black bars on the sides)
- reckless racing
And of course some other minor games from the market...of course angry birds, cut the rope, apparatus and some others....but i am more interested in 'gameloft' games and unfortunately no game (apart from modern combat 3) is officially working. To get some to work you have to manually do everything...and not always work. That's why i am trying all the games (which I had bought and never played...what luck now they don't work on the new phone -_-) too see how many i can get to run.
Anyway in January gameloft should update most of the games and get them to run on the device. I am sure they are working on it.

So far every game I have has played perfectly on the note So no problems for me. But then again I don't play any of those games that you play. I'm a casual gamer (puzzles, word games, etc). I highly recommend the Note.
If any games don't run NOW, they probably will because all developers have to do is tweak their configurations.

I dont play a lot of games though..Also you can use chainfire3d to play games you couldnt normally.

Been using my Galaxy Note for like 3-4months game play is awesome....i have a few titles that jist look great...
Shawdowgun is one of the favorites...
And if your wearing headphones you got the option for 5.1 digital sound...works great in the car as well connected to car radio as well......works grwat for watching movies as well...

Optimus 4X HD laggy in games?

Hi,
I bought my LG Optimus 4X HD a few days ago and im actually satisfied with it.
The only "problem" I have is that it's a bit laggy when I play games?
Games I've tried is Temple Run, GTA 3 and Modern Combat 3.
I can't play GTA 3 with highest graphics and resolution without notable lag, same goes with the two other games.
There are some other apps that also lags like GOAL.com, lags when I scrolls through new articles. I didn't have this lag issue with the same app on my Xperia Arc.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Really? Lag on those games? I mean the One X and my Nexus 7 are Tegra 3 and I havent stumbled lag. Maybe because its new and it hasn't been tested yet. Just a thought I could be wrong lol

Play Temple run, Shadowgun THD lag a bit
Like sometimes fps drops so much and then normal again, so on
And believe it or not
Play angry bird all series lag abit too, stutter sometimes
Hope with cusrom will fix this

I just talked to the LG support, they took out a O4x while we talked and tested the apps I wanted them to try.
We had the same lag in the same apps / games.
The reason for the lag according to LG, was that Nvidia Tegra 3 is so new that there are many apps / games that are not adapted to the chip yet.
We have to wait for updates to the apps / games.

[Q] Real Racing 2 and others on GT-P3100

Hi guys iam new here.
Tab Specs:
Galaxy tab 2 GT-P3100
Android version: 4.2.1 (jellybean)
Cyanogenmod version: 10.1-20121223- Nightly-p3100
Ive been trying to get real racing 2 to work on my tab for a long time now, the only success Ive had is running a tegra version which isn't, well graphically accurate
I have tried to get the SD data for Power VR as many people suggested, its all fine till the menu, then everything's just shaded black and misplaced. for the moment my xperia mini pro (GB stock) runs RR2 only with a little lag but insane graphics.
With this being said iam a total noob with android as of now, i recently rooted and Cyanogend it so iam still setting it up to feel like it did on ICS when i first got it :cyclops:

i noticed you also got nfs working ,what version you got for NFS shift i already tested some versions but some get grey and white some displays well but problem with the accelerometer unable to control during race.would you mind pointing me the right version, download site etc?
by the way i had my real racing 2 (modded) working fine in my GT-P3110 stock ics 403, if you want we can swap with your nfs shift for testing

Most of the gameloft games doesn't work due to device n ics compatibility issues.. Try the latest hd releases from gameloft which seems to ve bypass these issues.
Asphalt s working perfect in my tab. I dunno abt nova, playing nfs most wanted which s d best racing hd game I 've seen

all i need for now is a working nfs shift in my gt-p3110 i got lots of versions in this others bad graphics while some fine grphics yet got orientation problem, already made some edited version of this thru apk editors but no luck. gameloft games works well for me in ics -- MC3, MC4,
others like nova3, battlefied, mass effect xplane 9, wild blood etc works fine only this stupid nfs shift dont work.never tried chainfire 3d though thought it will break my tab

Try nfs most wanted. Steering sensitivity is excellent n so is the graphics..

Games working on Xperia V 100%

Okay been using my Xperia V for a week now and here are the games that work smooth and 100% working on "XPERIA V" NOT T BUT "V"
PIRACY IS A CRIME
Shadowgun - very smooth , finished already
Riptide - very smooth
Asphalt 7 - random lag on certain maps but mostly smooth
Fieldrunners - very smooth
Wildblood - lags sometimes on boss battles, the very big ones.. but smooth overall
Gangstar Rio - very smooth
Aralon Sword and Shadow - Very smooth even on high settings
Survivalcraft - very smooth even on ultra settings
Bloons TD 5 - very smooth but random lag sometimes...
Minecraft PE - very smooth even on fancy graphics and large buildings...
Dead Trigger - random lag don't know why lol but smooth overall
Dead Space - very smooth some lag on final boss...
Mass Effect Infiltrator - very smooth , almost finished playing...
NFS Most Wanted - very smooth , rarely lags on some maps.
Critical Strike Portable - very smooth 60+ even on ultra settings
Shadowgun DeadZone - random lag due to crappy internet but smooth gameplay overall
Heroes of Order and Chaos - random lag to crappy internet but smooth overyall even on large clashes 5vs5
GTA 3 - randomly crashing every 20 mins or so but smooth gameplay overall
Modern Combat 3 and 4 - randomly lags sometimes but very smooth , multiplayer won't work
World of Goo - very smooth
Max Payne - very smooth , sounds sometimes stutters , almost finished playing
Here are the games I tested so far I haven't included crappy F2P games like Temple Run 2 or Subway Surfers because they already "WORK" still downloading GTA : VC if it works on Xperia V... and some other games..

yes it works well but only played Final Fantasy 7 with OpenGL plug - in and frame limiter on got 40 - 50 fps top and sound as always sounds well
also some GBA emulators work like
GBA.emu - Legally bought for $3.99 , muahahaha Golden Sun 1 & 2 worked well!

[Q] game lag on xperia zr

i got my zr a week ago i updated it to android 4.3 it runs good without any lag in general but i get a lag in subway surfers game i tried dead trigger 2 and asphalt 8 and they run good without lagging although they are much heavier than subway surfers .
so is the problem with the game or the phone ? and what are your suggestions to deal with it ?
