First, make sure you are in the right forum. This is for just the S4 Active (i537 and i9295 international version. The standard S4 is in another forum.

Haven't purchased a Neo yet as I'm investigating...what are the steps involved to get the Neo to read your texts aloud? I want this function while I'm driving, but I'd love to not have to remember to put the phone into Hands-Free mode every time I drive (and turn it off afterwards). I'm hoping it's as simple as a double press of the Neo home button and asking S-Voice to read my latest texts. Does anyone know? Thanks so much!

Yup, you can do exactly what you are asking. You can change home button double tap so it launches S Voice.

And the phone doesn't have to be in hands-free mode for the watch to read the texts aloud after issuing the proper voice command to S-Voice?
Yes, I never use hands free mode. For example if I'm driving I can double tap home to start S Voice and say "read messages from _____" and reply etc. But the watch can only read back txts from the stock Samsung msging app currently. Hope this helps

Hey guys,
first time poster here. So be gently.
I recently got myself a HTC One (M7) with Lollipop 5.0.2 (not rooted, no custom rom).
I just noticed something that drives me crazy. Whenever I get a notification from Whatsapp, Facebook or whatever, I get the initial notification sound and thats fine. But if I dont open those messages immediately the Smartphone keeps sending acoustig reminders every 20 seconds (or how long it takes). Is there any way to disable that?
I looked trough this forum but couldnt actually find anything or I am searching for the wrong terms.
Thanks in advance
Sincerely yours, Piero

Big thanks!
In german the option "Accessibility" is translated into "input help". So that explains why I could'nt find it.
I was removing extra bloat from my Samsung phone via ADB (uninstalling the stock Samsung Messages). Now, I would like to add the stock Samsung Messages app back. Could someone please tell me the easiest way to install the app back? I can't find it on the Samsung Galaxy store or Google Play store.
I tried downloading the latest APK. Unfortunately when I click on the APK via Samsung "My Files" (which already has the ability to install apps from unknown sources), the app looks like it's installing.. but then, it ultimately says "App not installed".
Maybe, there's a way to put it back via ADB? If so, can someone please tell me exactly how to do it? I don't even remember the exact commands I used to remove it in the first place.
try shell command:
cmd package install-existing com.samsung.android.messaging
Out of curiosity: why are you adding it back?

I was trying to enable the feature Make calls and send messages from your Galaxy tablet . It wasn't working... so, I incorrectly believed putting back the stock Samsung Messaging app would resolve the issue.. which it didn't. After reading that link more carefully, it clearly said this feature isn't compatible with Verizon carriers. Too bad. I'll probably just end up uninstalling the stock app again since it has no use to me. I like Google Messages.

I have the Tab S7 and the Call and Text on other devices feature is very handy. I love it.
But if your carrier has blocked the function for some reason, the same functionality (SMS alone, not calls) can be replicated with Google Messages once you link the two devices together.

I like Samsung Flow on a PC. YourPhone is garbage IMO.
Hi
I use smartthings on my s21+ regularly. I have a Samsung tv and soundbar on the app. A popup from smartthings showed up asking if I wanted to mute tv etc when a phone call is being received or made. I said yes and there was an option for the tv and soundbar. I clicked on both and by mistake deselected the soundbar. I want to change the option so the tv and soundbar mutes, as they play together via samsung symphony. Where can I find the setting for that? I have checked in the app and no help under settings. I uninstalled the app and re-installed, with the hope that it would forget my option, but it still just gives option to mute for tv when a call comes in or being made....
I personally don't have those devices so it would be hard to make guesses on how to do it. I would suggest calling Samsung and getting their advise.
Go to smart things, long press into App info and try to clear default from there.

I found the answer on the smartthings forum. It's in the companion app
