I have youtube account created pre-google acquisition era.. now they are attached to single gmail. and there is a youtube account for my personal self... In Pc and mobile we can select the account.. in socialife i cant choose it.. is there any option.. or a way around it??

I have been trying to set my default phone book as just my Sim contacts. ie. just to use the numbers saved in my sim. But I cant seem to do that on my HTC diamond. anyone has any idea?
And, after signing into windows live messenger via my phone, i realised my contact list is full of my msn contacts, ie. the email addresses of my msn contacts, which is why I wana select the option of just using my sim contacts. Anyone who can give me solution on this?

when signing into messenger (or in options since youve signed in) untick the sync contacts part
The options menu dont have that "(or in options since youve signed in) untick the sync contacts part " anymore.. You can only select it when u sign in first into msn messenger..
Before using android phone, I have a tons of photo on picasa web.
Now, use my gmail account in android phone, the photo on the picasa web will download to my phone， this is not my desire.
Is it possible to stop synchronize with picasa web ?
Sure thing.
Settings > Accounts and sync > in Manage accounts choose yours one > uncheck "Sync Picasa Web Albums"
Go to settings > Accounts and Sync then select your Google Account under 'Manage Accounts' and untick 'Sync Picasa Web Albums'
I disabled this option.
However , I cannot delete those downloaded photos in the gallery.
android doesn't provide the delete option for me.
Once you disable, the synced photos from Picasa should be gone automatically. Just did that with Captivate.

If you clear Gallery application cache, the picassa web album will gone
in the worse case scenario you can also login to your google picasa account to manually do it from there
not there!
sorry i feel like a bother, im running 2.2 on Samsung Captivate... and i go to the settings and accounts and syncs but theres no option to untick! :/
TRY THIS!!!
Settings>Accounts and Sync
Tap Activate auto-sync
Tap your Google Account
then uncheck Sync Picasa Web Albums
back Tap Activate auto-sync for uncheck.
DONE
NOTE : After you do this method, Never tap Sync Picasa Web Albums forever
with this method you never lose your photos on picasa web.
Hey guys, sorry for necroing, but I don't wanna start a new thread. Thing is, my problem is the opposite. Picasa.is syncing photos from my phone to my account, therefore all photos I take OR download will show up in Picasa. I've already disabled sync.with picasa on my phone all along. What can I do?
Maybe you activated "Instant-Upload" in Google+ App, or something like that?
Yes in account turn off auto synch instant upload

I'm having trouble trying to figure out the following.....
I go to the people hub, and then autos to "All" . . . . . The list shows all my contacts, however it shows ALL my HOTMAIL contacts and my Contacts from my SIM CARD.
All I want is the contacts on my sim card LISTED in the PEOPLE HUB, and dont want WP7 to alo use the HOTMAIL contacts list......
Any one know how to do this ???

there is one exception though, your primary Live account, you can only select to sync your mail or not, the contacts will always get sync'd, I kinda got the mess under control via syncing facebook and only showing contacts that matched in email / facebook.
Here's how it SHOULD work:
Swipe to app list
Settings
Swipe to 'applications' settings
select 'people'
swipe down to list of accounts
select the account you don't want contacts for
deselect 'people' from the 'content to synchronise' set of checkboxes.
Sadly, that isn't an option for my Live login, so I have weird random MSN contacts in my list of people alongside the Exchange contacts I actually want.
Annoying! Also, you can't delete the Live account.

So really we have an issue already...... L O L
Hopefully MICROSOFT WP7 team can fix this.....I'll think I'll send them a tweet, and it would be great if you guys could do the same if you use twitter ....

guys im using picasa to sync some of my favourite photos (taken with my actual camera) to my phone
annoyingly though, the albums are synced in some seemingly random order which is really annoying as there are 30 of them right now and that number will only get bigger.
does anyone else use Picasa in the album on their phone and can suggest a fix?

fixed my own problem
for anyone who has same problem in future, it seems the htc gallery syncs picasa albums by when they were last UPDATED, and not when they were CREATED.
i guess it makes sense for those who have albums that they are constantly updating, but for me i make an album for an "event" and then thats it, so it doesnt work for me.
anyway - the fix was simply to go to picasa web albums and "update" your albums in the order you want them to appear in - so for me i updated the oldest first right through to the newest. the update can be "nothing" - just go to album properties, open it then save without making a change and it will still register as updated.
htc should give the option regarding which kind of sorting you want but oh well.

Btw i have another problem with Picasa : i can't play any videos as there is no "play button" on them, they are only displayed as pictures...
Any advice ?
I can't even get picasa to work within the gallery. Maybe because I am on Google Apps account instead of a regular gmail account?

If you haven't figured it out already, first use the main menu, "Add online service", select Picasa. That'll open up the Google Accounts page, make sure Picasa is set to sync, then hit back button.
From there, you need to click on "My photos" and then on the left drop-down menu, select Albums, then you should get the option of picking Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and pictures on your phone. If you use the menu from the My Photos page, you can turn off services you don't want (I don't Facebook, I don't Flickr, for instance).
When in the gallery page, and I want to "share" as video or picture my options of programs to use is- messages, facebook, htc share, Mail (but this is my work account- I want gmail), picasa, dropbox (can I change to google drive?), bluetooth and flick for hts sense.
I want to use gmail, not my work account, but cannot figure out how to change that email account. Also, I use Google drive not dropbox, can this be changed as well?
Tried to delete the thread, but couldn't figure that out. Didn't realize that I could scroll down further past the first screen, doh....
