gingerbread keyboard for OTA builds

ok this is the gingerbread android 2.3 keyboard for tmobile OTA roms only this will not work on CM based roms
this is not my work just an edit so that it works with tmobile OTA roms

tried fix permissions too.. doesnt work

i need italian language...for the nexus version of this , italian has been maked, can you port it to us with magic ? thanks!!

do you want it for an ota rom or and cm based rom?

in a cyanogenmod 6.1 Nightly Rom i have flashed the zip that is in the first post here..
i have a Magic 32A phone with CM 6.1 (nightly of today)
with clockwork recovery, old radio.. i think is all here..

It would be great a .apk version of this for the guys with the stock 2.2.1

Oh is it ? My bad, I misread I guess.
How can I install it ? I tried to flash via the 'stock recovery' but it fails to'verify whole-file signature'.

yes flash via recovery and it is signed it should flash fine if not i will upload it again

I just downloaded and tried to flash it again but with the same outcome,
'E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed'

it works on clockwork recovery..on amonRa recovery i have the same problem..

I managed to flash it with clockwork but it force closes everytime.

[Q] Teamhacksung's ICS Port for Galaxy S (BUILD 6)

Hey everyone,
I have trouble flashing pawitp's Build 6 from CM7. I did everything he said on the first page but it still did not work. I kept on getting this message when flashing from CM7...
Assert failed: getprop(“ro.product.device”) == “galaxys” || getprop(“ro.build.product”) == “galaxys” || get prop(“ro.product.device”)…. E:Error in /sdcard/Download/…BUILD6.zip (Status 7) Installation aborted.
Then I flashed Onescosmic's ICS first and then I CAN flash pawitp's Build 6. However, the audio logic was wrong. There was no sound from the speaker when I played music, and it used the speaker when I plugged in the headphones. Also, the button mapping was wrong. I only had two buttons working... the setting and the back button. The home button and the search button did not work. I looked everywhere but there was no solution. Help Please?

Well no, there is one for the Captivate, seeing that you got it from pawtip it is for the I9000, so go to the Captivate Dev section and look for the TeamHackSung thread and download from there!

[Q] Cyanogen Mod 7 installation aborts

First: Sorry for my bad English, but it has been quite a long time since I learned it at school.
I tried to install CM 7.2 (stable) and also Boype's version, but the installation stops direct at the beginning with this message:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device")=="p970" || getprop("ro.build.product")=="P970" || getprop("ro.product.board")="p970"
Actually I have Zeus 6.38 installed and wanted to try the CM ROM.
Can somebody help me? Is something with the device's product ID wrong? Can I change it?

if you use officiall touch recovery it won't work.
Try tantrums touch recovery.

Better simply try the original NON touch version, as is is supposed to be the most stable one

Tantrums touch recovery is based on normal so it will work fine

[HELP] Can't flash any rom (get an error)

Hey Guys,
After a long time using Marvel v9.0, i decided to change the rom to another, a CM9 for example.
But i cant flash any one, i get all times this error:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "p970" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "p970"
E: error in /sdcard/[......].zip (status 7)

I have an german LG P970. Before all worked, and now i have this.
How can i solve this?

Go to Clockworkmod and delete cache, data, and do factory reset.....then try flashing other ROMs
Press THANKS button if helped

Try another cwm.
Delivered via my phone's internet connection.

Download ROM Manager, Open, and Flash Clockwork mod Recovery. Then boot into recovery and flash anything you want

Thanks man, it was installed the touch version, i updated it to the standart version, and all works now. :laugh:

You can also try tantrums latest touch cwm.
It is totaly based on stock so it will work

LG Optimus 2X AVATAR ROM HELP!!!

Hello.I was trying to install avatar rom (Stable Release 3.x - Android version 4.2.2 based on CM10.1
Stable 3.0) but unsuccessful.When i boot phone in recovery mode (CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.5) i do next :
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-install zip from sdcard
-And find the avatar rom and when i try to install rom i got message : assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "p990" || getprop("ro.product.device") == "p990"
My current rom is : DjangoManouche X 1.6.1 , Android OS 4.0.4
PLEASE HELP ME???

ics rom you currently have is on new bootloader, avatar rom is cm based (old bootloader)...
do a bit of searching and reading on those topics... you'll find a solution...
or flash some newer roms for new bootloader...

that version is unofficial Avatar version for new bootloader... converted with old/new bootloader rom converter...
original Avatar rom is for old bootloader... @SREEPRAJAY converted it using the rom converter tool (which can be found in developer thread somewhere)
and there is a newer version of avatar rom (3.1.7.)
why are you stuck to this rom?
imho, it's not that stable and smooth such as pengus77 or tonyp' roms... (at least what i saw from user comments on this forum, didn't try it myself)

just a point to note: please dont call it not stable...it is one of the most themed ROMs and was stable too...I have used....and dont just name something unstable based on only a few comments or few users....their downloads tell you the true story
EDIT:THE LATEST ROM IS 3.1.9 NEW BOOTLOADER VERSION

i agree but don't get me wrong, people like theming and fancy stuff prior to stability - i bet there are 80% people who downloaded it because of theme support...

I was having this same problem here and I figured it out (search for the download stuff with google, or here at XDA)
I was using ICS 4.0.4 and I
1 - Installed (flash) LGP990_ICS_v28G_Root_CWM6_initd_NVFlash_2ndGen (its to recover everything from 0 with nvflash)
2 - Used AIO-P990-ToolKit_v6.0 - Option 4 Repartition your device with preferred layout and bootloader
3 - Used option 2 - OLD Partition layout with OldBL
4 - Option 1 Stock 512mb system... (its the mostly common)
5 - Option 2 - 2 - oldbl-cwm-6.0.1.5.img
6 - Inside cwm, I wiped data, cache, dalvik and formated /system/ (formating is not needed, but did to be sure)
7 - Installed avatar-nightly_3.1.13-3a82645527-20131129-NIGHTLY-p990.zip (its the last, i guess)
8 - Installed gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip (right for the ROM)
Everything went fine

that happens, because you are suing CWM 5.0.2.8 for now bootloader, and that CWM is really bad.
On new bootloader use twrp 2.5.0.0 or 2.6.0.0 or CWM 6.0.2.5.
On old bootloader use anything but cwm 6.0.1.5. That version of CWM has many broken things, like masstorage, adb, touch keys dont work etc

I have the newest avatar rom on my x2 and it crashes about 10 times a day battery only lasts about 4 hours mobile wifi don't work for me it isn't stable.

i'm on tonyp theROM build 26 from CM 10.1 for the past few days after doing a lot of reading on which ROM to use. Did a full wipe and reinstall all apps manually via playstore. Flashed with twrp. So far no crashes or freeze and fixed my keyboard problem in CM 10.1. Not much theme option but at least its stable and fast. hope this helps.
