So I just wrote this whole thing two mins ago but wow imagine that a freaking "RAM DUMP" and all is lost!! So ill keep it short I been running 4.1.2 and have S-off and aquired it with moonshine along with supercid of "11111111" (now I changed cid to HTC__001) AND running deoxidized app and framwork and 4x5 Rosie landscape. I have found that going back to S-ON and relocking bootloader then unlocking again(haveing to aquire new unlock_code.bin everytime) stopped the annoyance of RAM DUMP MODE...if anyone has a workaround or solution I'm all ears...I haven't tried disableing lte yet but about too...thnks in advance and will report future findings...
Dont turn off lte ram dump as network connection freezes after 5 mins and one should have to disable data connection and then re-enable that connection to get speed, if it is not done then it will show net is connected but you will not get speed.

As u know that with latest android update 4.2.2 Google turn off the lte access. No worries
It just the radios so just roll back to previous radios .33 or .24

well thats kind of common sense to be honest.
not really a fix but a workaround
has this worked for you by any chance?
I just finished doing this myself. It works, you just need to flash the 4.2.1 radio .33 over top of 4.2.2 and it works fine

I'm talking about the baseband update, not the actual 4.2.2 OS update. I've updated to 4.2.2 but downgraded the baseband, which has nothing to do with the media scanner bug.
I'm wondering what specific improvements/changes were made in the new baseband.
Do I have to be rooted to flash an old radio?

You need to have an unlocked bootloader at least to flash in fastboot.

Finding mine locks onto 3G better, slightly better signal, less battery usage.
I wouldn't go back to .33, even if there were LTE services in my area... I bought the phone knowing it wasn't a 4G phone, so I have lost nothing.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to use the newer baseband... LTE service here is amazing, and I am talking a huge difference (HSPA+ DC I get around 8mbps and 120ms ping, where with LTE I get over 40mbps and 18ms ping). Not sure if I want to give that up!!

The network could quite easily lock out your phone at any time anyway, as each handset identifies itself on LTE, so they only have to put a block on N4 ID strings, if they wanted to and use the non-approved card...

Curious if anyone knows the status of the Force Roam option.
I've really enjoyed having that option on my HTC EVO LTE.
Thanks
I've heard a rumor that Roam Control works on it. Haven't had a chance to test it out, I'll see if it works at all sometime later today. I too would enjoy having the ability to force roam (I live in the vicinity of a rural area so at times it's needed) - is great on my EVO LTE running MeanBean.
I've ported the mod but it's not working it worked on the sense 5 port for the ELTE

Ah I got it. Thanks I've never dabbled in force roaming before outta fear of Sprint axing my contract for "excessive roaming" and that causing my wife to kick my a** lol but I'm checking into it to see the difference in speeds and just use it in a "as needed" situation. I've come to the understanding that with the right mods you can do the ##778# and edit the prl from there but I'm not entirely sure yet what all that entails. I was just checking around in there and when I selected edit mode under the prl option it asked me for a password and I'm not sure what password it wants. Lol still digging but I'm at work now(in a warehouse so reception is god awful) so after work I may looking into it more. Thanks again any further knowledge anyone shares is much appreciated.

Okay, the RoamControl app does not work on an un-rooted phone. Confirmed using version 2.7 and selecting htc unrooted in options. The developer does not return emails, so those that are looking to roam on a stock device will have to wait for the app to be updated.
It's cool tho, I will be rooted as soon as I'm convinced this phones hardware is worthy of the pounding I'm gonna put on it over the next year! hehe
Peace.

lol to late. I switched for this phone and unlimited data. The sprint coverage for me is fine and within the last couple days I constantly get about 150kBs down and 120kB/s up so they must have done something to the towers Just waiting for them to light up lte which supposedly is in the next couple months tops.
I did a search in the play store for "data usage" and saw a bunch of apps with widgets. Maybe one of those would work for you?

So you know about the data section of your settings that show data usage for the month? You have to set it up for your cycle date though.

Now, the Activate Device option in settings brings up a sprint summary that will tell you all of your data, minutes, texts and mms usage.

Okay guys . After a day of messing around with this Google Edition I finally got fully working data . I was wondering if anyone could tell me the direction to get the roaming indicator off . I'm up loading it to dropbox right not and its taking forever . So if you have suggestions for a different file sharing please let me know.

I would love to use the Google version if everything checked out ok. I am not one to tinker with it. But the idea of no bloatware has me almost there... I downloaded an app called "Lte on off" on that app I change the preferred network mode to Cdma/lte auto prl. If at firat it doesn't work try switching it to another and then back to that. It takes a minuter to kick in. I also had mobile data disabled while I did it and then enabled it, don't know if that made a difference.

Yes but it won't do you much good.
The speeds are just as slow. At least, in my experience. There is no charge.
If your speeds are god awful, you can try to force roam, but there you enter murky waters.
Ur good with domestic but ur going to be running on 1x so it's still going to be slow only option would be to flash a prl that supports Verizon 3g but excessive use can get u the letter from sprint kicking u out of ur contract

No, but it's not really a thing XDA is super-friendly about discussing at times.
Anyway, it's safe to do so, but unless you're on a corporate account you'll be limited to 1xRTT, and Sprint's service will still pull ahead of Verizon's 1X speeds most of the time. Killing off the Sprint proxy servers coded into your EPST settings tends to be a safer bet for a speed boost, although it's hardly magic.
