Hi everyone,
My phone recently popped with the message "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped working", at which point the notifications bar disappears then reappears after around 10 seconds. It usually happens when I enter the Facebook app but has happened in other apps also.
Android version: 4.0.3
Kernel version: 3.0.16
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Another message just popped up but I got a screenshot of it

Well I took the plunge last night and rooted and installed the Cynogen ROM and after some pretty tense moments everything worked!!
Only thing is Cherry Rplayer, a decent radio app I liked will no longer work: I get a "Sorry! The application Cherry Rplayer (process com.leadapps.android.radio.cherryrplayer) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close" message immediately upon launch.
I searched for a similar app & found 'A Online Radio' (which looks exactly the same as Cherry Rplayer in the screenshots in the app store?) and it does the same exact thing.
Other radio apps continue to work fine such as 'NPR News'. I've also tried re-installing and still does not work.
What's up with that?
Thanks in advance
Did you flash with the latest version, ie, 5.0.5.2? One of the changes include
* Disable V8 in Webkit and switch back to JSC due to app incompatibilities

No, I used 5.0.5.1. But I just upgraded to 5.0.5.2 and launching these apps result in the same immediate force close message.
In case anyone else is having the same problem, I was able to find in another thread that fixing uid mismatches in recovery (THANKS jsapp & travon802!) solves this problem...
I'm having the same problem with Power Manager Pro (I bought it, so it's kind of annoying) and fixing uid mismatches didn't solve it.
Happens since CM5.0.5. I'm currently on 5.0.5.2
k i did a thread search and could not find anything i was wondering if someone could help...
i just recently flashed the cyanogenmod-6.0.0-N1-RC-1 i did this through ROM manager app... i wiped and then flashed.. went through the set up since then i have been getting this pop up.. process.android.acore has stopped unexpectedly force close.. i press ok and it USUALLY brings me back to the last app that i had.. i cant really pin point an app that causes it as it seems to do it randomly HOWEVER i do seem to get it when i go to my calander widget i am usin pure caladander widget...if anyone could help or if a mod could redirect this thread to the proper forum i would greatly apprecieate it thank you...
Ok I just Installed CM6 stale version, and everything works perfectly! Only thing is whenever i click new message or try and open a thread it does nothing but goes back the the main messaging screen(as if i were opening the messaging application). Can anyone help me??? I've searched all over the forums and other sites assuming no one had the same problem as me because i found nothing.
Sometimes when I update any of my apps that I have installed on my xoom, It will start to download them and then nothing will happened. It's like it get's hung or something. Then there is a message on the notifications bar that says "this application is already installed", even though the market is telling me there is an update. This has happened more often in the last few days with the Google Doc app and the Pulse app updates. It will take several tries to get the update to work, or sometimes I would uninstall the app and reinstall the new version to get around this glitch. Has anybody else had the same issue?

this has happened a few times. google video, google maps or or twice. re clicking 3 or 4 times usually gets it to work.
This morning my 2 yo decided to have a play with my phone. He handed me the phone back and blurbed something like its was broken daddy.
When I had a look it had the below screen shot on the screen, "Unfortunately, (INSERT FOREIGN LANGUAGE HERE) Has Stopped."
The only thing I can see wrong is that the keyboard is now not working. Dialer still works but the keyboard in browser, sms, email........... have stopped working.
Every time I change screens this error pops up. I had a look in the apps menu and the keyboard is still showing as an installed app but its not showing in the running apps menu. I thought it normally did?
Anyone had this problem? Or can suggest a fix?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Tried with another keyboard ?
Thanks for that, I just found the problem.
My boy enable a k/board option (Chinese) that isn't an option. I can't disable in the k/board options but I can disable it in the programs.
