Earlier today i decided i wanted to try cyanogenmod for my xperia z. I follow this guide: cyanogenmod(dot)org/w/Install_CM_for_yuga
When i finnished it and rebooted my phone it stopped at the xperia animation and rebooted again and again and again... I tried to flash the boot.img once more, but it only got worse. Now, only the image that says "Sony" popped up and i couldn't turn off the phone.
Now, i can't turn on my phone to manage files on my SDcard or do anything with it. I have downloaded flashtool and downloaded all the drivers needed to flash my phone. I have also tried the DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit guide. Nothing seems to work.
I feel like i've really messed up my phone. Can you help me?
I managed to get into recovery mode and install cyanogenmod from the zip-file that i stored on the SD-card. But it won't get past the booting screen.

Follow install instructions in specific ROM thread. Risk is that your /system folder are corrupted thanks to flashing over existing ROM with no previous wipe..

Thanks. I looked into mounts and storage menu in recovery and noticed that system was unmounted. I mounted it and booting went fine. I have managed to start the phone now.

Hi everybody.
I have a problem
I followed the instructions from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187363&page=32 to get CWM for locked Bootloaders.
Everything was fine, it worked, I did already a backup with the CWM. Then I rebooted to the OS, went home, wanted to reboot to recovery to try to flash a custom stock based ROM, but now I can not get anymore into the recovery. Neither with booting up and pressing the volume key, nor with titanium backup and boot to recovery option.
I tried to reinstall CWM using the script, but no success to get into CWM. See also the screenshot attached from krabappel2548's script.
Any Ideas??

I don't know if that is the solution. I suppose files are gone or missing or anything like that? I wrote to the dev a PM to read this thread. I hope he can help us.
Just tested: Same issue with TWRP recovery....
I have a locked Bootloader (unlocking is not allowed), an rooted with the easy rooting script. Sony Xperia Z
I read from a user that it also has something to do with a file conflicting with the rooting for locked bootloaders, my XZ is in for repair now, but I'll take a look as soon as I have it back

Just to inform everybody who may have the same problem:
I reseted the Z via sony update service (also did a FW upgrade), rooted with latest easy root and installed then CWM for locked bootloaders.
Now it seems working fine. was able to boot into recovery several times.
[STOCK][C6602&C6603][4.2.2] Update to 10.3.1.A.0.244 [Rooted & XZDualRecovery][LB/UB]

XZDualRecovery 2.7 BETA (CWM ADVANCED 6.0.3.4 & TWRP 2.6.0.0) pre-installed;
Tailored FTF to minimize the chance of accidental system wiping!
No need to clear caches!
@shem2409 created a nice youtube video guide to assist you in your work, be sure to check this post for it! Thanks m8!
The C6603 ROM is based on the FTF provided by @NetSkill in this thread. Thanks dude
The C6602 ROM is based on the FTF provided by @alfiabraham in this thread. Thanks dude
In the following guide I suggest you use an external SDCard but that's just good practice, you can use your internal storage or even an USB OTG storage device in TWRP if you like to install, that's no problem!... If you are modding and the likes, best is to have an external sdcard, just for safeties sake.
C6602: How to update to 10.3.1.A.0.244:
For C6602: Download C6602GI.flashable.244.zip (Bittorrent: 741MB) and C6602_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericI-stripped.ftf (15MB), save it somewhere you remember;
Put 'C6602GI.flashable.244.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'C6602_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericI-stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in CWM or TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard0';
Flash 'C6602GI.flashable.244.zip' in TWRP, do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'C6602_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericI-stripped.ftf';
Reboot to system without clearing (dalvik-/)cache.
C6603: How to update to 10.3.1.A.0.244:
For C6603: Download C6603CE.flashable.244.zip (Bittorrent: 688MB) and C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped.ftf (15MB), save it somewhere you remember;
Put 'C6603CE.flashable.244.zip' on (the external) SDcard1;
Put 'C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped.ftf' inside the Flashtool/firmwares folder;
Create a backup of your phone in CWM or TWRP and don't forget to backup the contents of 'SDCard0';
Flash 'C6603CE.flashable.244.zip' in TWRP, do not reboot but go back to the main menu, then go to reboot->power off;
Flash everything in 'C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped.ftf';
Reboot to system without clearing (dalvik-/)cache.
The first boot will be considerably slower and after a long wait at the boot animation you will see Android optimizing the apps on your phone.
I have done this myself along side @Tamirwig, using this method and we have not found any problem yet, again! :fingers-crossed:
NOTE: You will eventually/inevitably get the triangle screen again after doing this update (typically after you shut down your phone to reboot it without an actual reboot command), you will have to sit this one out it seems, it keeps coming back until it's done...
DO NOT INTERRUPT IT, LET IT RUN AND DO IT'S THING! you have been warned!
Enjoy! :laugh:
Known XZDualRecovery Issues:
Busybox Updater/Installer: If you have XZDualRecovery installed, un-install any Busybox updating app/tool as most if not all of them will install a version of busybox which does not support the lzma compression applets XZDualRecovery depends on. The version installed together with XZDualRecovery is very stable and I have yet to hear anyone complain about it's stability.
How to report errors:
Please, before shouting out "It doesn't work!!1!" or "I lost root!" or even "My phone reboots when remounting /system RW!!" try the following:
Restore a /system ONLY using any means you are familiar with so you can try again.
Root it using [Z][ROOT] DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit.
Install XZDualRecovery and then try to update again using TWRP. This time you can skip the FTF as it has already done it's job.
If it still fails something from there on: LOGS!!.
NOTE: The important ones can be found in /cache/recovery and in /tmp/XZDualRecovery, pack them up and send them to me.
Thank you
Works great! Thanks.

Just flash it (The stripped ftf) as is, you don't need to exclude anything or mess with the flashing settings.
This is awesome stuff! Can I flash this on my 6602? I have the XZ Dual recovery already installed with a C6603 stock rom.

Is this newer than.... 423??
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
Yes, .244 is newer than .423
just flashed the stock .244 yesterday.
I had a dual recovery before (somewhen...).... but i guess thats gone now ? (even flashed a few doom kernels between)
If i just flash this in CWM will it work ? Or is it essential to install Dual recovery before ?
P.S could you please consider using a different hoster for your .torrent files ? i use my NAS as external download station. Instead of just using the link Copy&Paste i had to wait 10sec, download the .torrent file and configure the download manually.
Or just a direct link to the .torrent file wihout waiting time, that would be awesome.
Flashed this successfully following instructions on the OP on my C6602.
One thing I noticed though, after flashing the zip, I went back to Menu in TWRP then tapped on Reboot. A prompt came up saying Root permissions are lost and a swipe to fix was shown. I did not attempt to fix and proceeded to next instruction and flashed through Flashboot.
Thanks for this update and guide @[NUT] Amazing piece of work.
EDIT: BTW, after the phone booted, I did not lose any data. Just an FYI. Oh, I still haven't seen that Triangle you mentioned in the OP. Hope it doesn't pop up.

If you look at /tmp in a file manager app there should be 2 files there: killedric and remountedrootfs . If they are not there then the RIC service is probably active... can you check that for me?

To migrate from a custom rom to stock is asking for problems sir... sorry but if you really want to use this ROM, make sure you have app backups and do a factory reset.

You will be faster off when not using this package but rooting it with the workaround by DooMLoRD and installing the current XZDualRecovery....
For you and people like you i will add a direct link to the file on the download screen.

TWRP expects a certain permission on the su executable... which is basically the same as with my packages. Even DooMLoRD sets the same... i was going to report a bug on that to Team Win about that soon... it's annoying. Root works fine either way.

Hey guys,
New to Xperia SP modding, just rooted my phone following the instructions on the forums, unlocked my bootloader and flashed CWM recovery.
Since then I have tried to access my storage through PC to drop in some ROMS, and I get 'Error: device has been removed' messages.
It allows me to copy from the device but not to it.
If I change the storage method to MSC I can copy to external storage but CWM calls the ROM's bad files.
I have tried fix permissions, wipe dalvik and a full factory reset. No luck whatsoever.
Anyone offer any advice please?

have you tried using different usb ports on your computer? check the size of the rom file, if its below 500 mb the download was probably corrupt.
Start again. Flash a stock ROM using flash tools, flash a kernel tha already has CWM in it and auto roots - check everything works.
Sounds like something has gone wrong along the way - someone may be able to help, but rather than waiting for an answer, it's sometimes best/quicker to do all the steps again. Unless your phone has faulty hardware, the vast majority of problems can be solved this way.

FlashTool
Have you use FlashTOOl to put the original software on your phome
Fixed this eventually something had gone wrong with the rom I was on. I ended up reflashing a different kernel via flashtool and it worked to flash another rom in Cwm.
can someone please help me, its an emergency. i have stock 4.3 with unlocked bootloader.
i wanted to root it so i used flashtool to flash boot.img like it says here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2573921
but when i flashed it i flashed it with the wrong seting, i chose select kernel to flash by accident then used that to flash the boot.img also i didnt put the superSU zip on my sd card before hand.
i then re flashed the boot.img with the "select system to flash" option and it installed the recovery fine.
so now i can boot into recovery but the phone will not come on as normal. i am just stuck at the sony screen.
i then went to try an re flash original stock ftf, but that is not being recognised by flashtool for some reason.
please help me
thank you

Power down the device for at least 10 minutes.
Get back in to recovery and tick "wipe cache partition" option and select it.
Go to the recovery main menu and reboot the device “reboot system now” option.
Try this..
I did that too. I also wiped dalvik and tried to reboot the phone. It was just staying on the sony logo. How long does the sony logo stay there after s boot like that? Also I dont understand why flashtool is not recognising the stock ftf files?

Hi to you all!
I want to apologize for my English and for any mistake, considering that this is my 1st post here on xda!
In the past I've flashed some official roms, using flashtool, I've unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone several times, but this is all the experience I'd had before I ruined my phone.
What I tried was to install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175768
I had already cwm on my phone so I did copy ACID zip file on my hone sd card and then I entered cwm and flashed that zip. It was all ok, then the phone restarted and after displaying "sony" and "xperia", it displayed those curb lines moving (I hope you get it), then restarted and doing the same steps over and over.
What I tried was to enter cwm again and wipe cache/data, wipe cache by dalvik and wipe partitions...of course with no result at all.
I tried to repair the phone using PC Companion and SUS but both say I can't because my phone hasn't original android.
Then I thought about installing CM 11, but it wasn't possible because the phone doesn't start so I could copy boot.img into sd card.
My last idea is to flash official 4.3 from sony with flashtool.
My question is: does anybody know what I could do if flashing official 4.3 fails too?
Also, if someone could help me what to do step by step to install cm11 I'll be very grateful. I've downloaded cm11.zip but all tutorials say that I have to copy boot.img on sd card which I can't. Is there any other method?
then restarted and doing the same steps over and over.

So you mean you get in a bootloop.
Download 4.3 here on XDA(no matter which region) and read this about flashtool in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2153167
With CM I do not have experince.

Thanks for response. I'd already done this and I had luck.
The problem is that after that I tried to flash pure x audio and I got the same error. This time I had a backup and it was easy to return to stock firmware, but I can't understand why I get the boot loop every time I try to flash a zip with cwm
