[ROM][JB][JOP40D] 4.2.1 stock (deodexed, rooted, busybox)

I noticed there wasn't any stock, rooted and deodexed android 4.2.1 for the nexus 4 so I thought I share the one I created for myself.

That's weird cause it's working for me.

Will not download for me using chrome on the N4
"starting download" then nothing.

I didn't try on my phone but it's working on my laptop.

Does this include gaps? and if so does the wallet app work with root?

download speed kinda slow :-\

If I used this rom would I get the next android update?

Yes it does, it's a stock firmware that's been pre-rooted and deodexed. I didn't remove anything.
Wallet should work fine.

No you won't. The official updates are patches that need to be installed through unmodded firmware. It's very easy to go back using this kit if need be. Also, I'm sure myself or another member would have a pre-rooted version of the update pretty quickly after it's release so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I love my stock rooted rom the way it is, I just want it deodexed. Could I just flash this over it? Or do you think that'll cause me issues without a wipe? I'll probably just end up backing up and giving it a go. Haha.

You'll have to wipe. Odex files won't be cleared out otherwise.

Just clear cache/dalvik. odex files are on the system partition and do get cleared when installing a new rom.

I was running stock+root, updated no issues

When i flash this will it be the same as getting the ota except for the fact that this one is deodexed? Also this has all the fixes the ota has correct??

Yes this is the same as OTA just deodexed and is rooted with busybox.

Stock Android Gallery

Anyone managed to get this working on the Z? Also, did you remove the gallery app from Sony? Ran into any issues?

I use the 4.2 patched one, so I can use photosphere, it does flag up as preventing stamina mode occasionally so I force close it, but other than that works ok .
I haven't removed the semc album, no need

sorry, you didn't. But the 4.2 camera/gallery is from the original LG nexus 4 rom right? Is it working on the Z already? Is it ported? Where can i find it?

there's tons of versions of it around.. search for patched 4.2 camera or photosphere..

has sony left out photosphere on 4.2.2 or is it me that just can't find it??

^AFAIK, Photosphere being a proprietary Google feature, is only available for the Nexus devices.
However if you have a rooted phone then just head over to the Themes & Apps section. Someone has managed to port it to our device!

This is only the leaked rom, isn´t it?
Correct me if i´m wrong, but we need the bootloader and baseband to be sure that it works correctly?

I use the newest bootloader anyway but im using .33 and seems to be working fine also got lte still

Yes.. Flash at your own RIsk... standard precautions

Is the new bluetooth stuff in this? That's all I really want from 4.3.

smartband compatibility

I would like to buy the new sony smartband but since it only works on KitKat I would like to ask if I put in a unofficial rom will it work fine? What Rom is most close to stock experience but of course having Kitkat?

The problem is that the app isint out yet, and by the time it comes out, we will have 4.4.

Source? And there will not be anything near stock as theres no 4.4 sources. The best is an asop/cm ROM with a Z theme. Hope this helps!

the smart band is to be released soon so the app will follow I presume
