I don't understand, I've download the stock recovery rar from here... http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.co.uk/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html "Download stock recovery 2.24.401.8"
I click install recovery and my phone is in fastboot and plugged in (obviously) but it just says waiting for device.
I cannot find the answer that fixes this anywhere.
Thanx.
Edit: I just get the message USB device not recognised when in fastboot.
Tried everything, installed drivers someone recommended for Windows 8 in device manager but I still have the yellow triangle.

Are you on Windows 8.1?
if not try uninstalling HTC drivers and re-install HTC Sync

I've all that but it still doesn't like fastboot.
I'm on a fresh install from when I put the custom recovery on but I've forgotten everything I needed to do for that, I just assumed I needed to run that exe in the download.
I'm on Windows 8 but not 8.1, I installed the custom recovery on Windows 8 before so I know it isn't an OS problem.
I tried downloading the google usb drivers in the sdk too.
Chances are if you look in Device Manager it won't be listed as an installed device. Once the drivers are installed correctly you'll be able to flash it
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (or whatever you've called the .IMG file)

I just cant get it to install for fastboot mode, it's fine when I'm in Android, just fastboot.
Nothing seems to work :\
Oh I just went back to Windows 7, it works now.
No OTA though :\ Guess It isn't released for stock HTC One yet :\
2.24.401.8 is the latest EU release, we're not on 4.3 yet

There is only one way to fix this and that is ADB sideload. You need to get to a windows PC and bring a good copy of the ROM you want to install. Make sure you have Clockworkmod recovery flashed. And then sideload the rom. Also make sure to keep the rom zip name short and simples too long or spaces can cause it to fail.

Sadly I do not have access to a windows PC . I'm going to try and reinstall the stock recovery, as that may fix my boot image, as that was the part of the rom I flashed that had been corrupted. Thankyou for your response.

I have a Mac as well but it's good to have a Windows bootcamp partition for times like this.

I tried to flash TrickDroid 7.0.5 and I noticed that my Logo2wake stuff from TeamSeven kernel was gone so I reflashed it and now I can't boot, only into bootloader and recovery, I ended up not having a backup or roms to flash on CWM touch and so now I have fastboot, adb, and cwm touch. so I tried to use adb to sideload and it freezes my windows 7 pc, and i can't do adb push either it does the same thing, what am I supposed to do? nothing's working.
Edit: if you're softbricked with fastboot and no adb, download an ruu exe, type in cmd fastboot clear cache, fastboot oem rebootRUU, then run the RUU for your vid (unless you're soff supercid)
Thanks in advance
edit: if anyone has a stock system.img i can use it'd be nice

If you have a USB OTG cable you could copy the ROM to USB and mount USB in recovery and flash it from there
Try what I said in my post again, I think it's just an issue with drivers.

It didn't work..
im thinking you flashed trickdroid 7.5 since i dont think there was ever a 7.0.5 and 7.5 is 4.2 and there is no fully functional 4.2 kernel right now. i would just reflash 7.5 without the kernel
dont know why the link didnt work.. heres the post:
download the file from here and extract the whole FOLDER to your desktop: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996051
1. boot into recovery
2. connect your phone to the computer
3. go to device manager, just search for it
4. In other devices, there should be something called android phone, open it, and choose update drivers
5. instead of letting the computer search for the drivers, choose the second option to choose your own
6. choose the folder, the whole folder, and your driver, and click install
Now your phone should be recognized by your computer, and you can go ahead and push the nandroid to your phone.
Heres a link to how to install the drivers if you didnt get my explanation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139767
List of RUU's and nandroids: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860
List to HTC drivers if you wanna try this before using the universal naked ones: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191279
Additionally, what the post said before me is really good. You could try flashing trickdroid again, which would flash over he team7 kernel. Cause the kernels prolly what caused the bootloop.
I can't. theres no roms on my phone. how am I supposed to be a rom on my phone is the question so I can unbrick it.
You can either use "adb push" to copy a rom while booted in recovery or use a OTG adapter, or use RUU for your region.
No other choices..

adb push gives me error:closed
I don't have an OTG adaptor.. im buying one definitely though
If you can link me to a Rogers RUU I can do that but I'm S-off supercid I don't know if it'll work
If you are supercid already, why not try a Dev or ATT rom?
I had a similar issue with htc one. Needed to change USB cable..

I already said I can't get a rom onto my phone, otherwise I wouldn't be in this.
How can I get a rom onto my phone, ADB Sideload says error:closed for every command, and I don't have a OTG cable

Okay here's what I did, opened up a cingular RUU executable, did in cmd fastboot oem rebootRUU then ran the RUU and it worked.
I can't seem to find a solution to the problem I am having and I spent 5 hours looking at many threads over many forums.
I was trying to restore my stock GPE in order to send to repair, but I accidentally wiped of everything and ended up with no OS installed. I tried then using fastboot/adb to install through recovery, (TWRP) I am able to use fastboot however adb will not see my device therefore I am not able to push any .zip to install GPE Android 4.3
Tried flashing stock.zip, but get the error "remote 12: signature verify fail", then I noticed that it is "S-On"
I am hopeless right now, but I know there is something that can be done or I am missing/screwing something.
Is there any other way in which I can restore my HTC One to GPE Android as initially shipped? I just need to fix this because I have a repair order going.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
In recovery you can see your sd card?

In recovery I do see /sdcard, however HTC One does not have sd card.
I tried downloading some drivers, maybe not the most up to date ones, do you have a link where I can download these?
I did not see if the PC could detect it while in recovery, I will check that and let you know.

Try to use this adb drivers.
However, let me know if, in device manager, you can see your one.
I have noted that CWM shows ADB drivers quickly than TWRP... perhaps try flashing CWM, adb push your_rom.zip /sdcard, and then flash TWRP if necessary, or just install using CWM..
I have the device attached, it shows up in fastboot, but when I do "adb devices" it shows nothing. Therefore I cannot sideload a ROM. The reason I have to sideload is because there is currently no system to boot into.
Is it because I have to find the correct drivers or something? I tried installed HTC Sync manager but that didn't install the drivers. Is there anything I can do to get my device showing up to ADB? I have CWM installed and I went into recovery, enabled sideload and still no results.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
I have a ROM on my sd card already but it won't install. It says error in data/media/0/paranoidota/ROM.zip when trying to install.
Edit: The phone is S-OFF and all that, as I said, the device shows up via fastboot, is there something I can do there?
This had me stumped too.
Look in the device manager and you'll see a device called one. Manually force the drive to android device bridge and try again. Adb devices will return sideload next to the device id

1- you should switch to TWRP, if you have m7_u / ul then 2.6.3.3 or 2.6.3.4, other versions seem to have problems with 4.4+ ROMs
2- check faq #2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52135024&postcount=2
btw, it's in the FAQ sticky last post

you're in the UK, so safe to assume you have an m7_ul model, did you switch to TWRP 2.6.3.3 or .4?

Still no results. Same error. Deleted the file, tried a sideload again.
This is the full script of what it shows:
"Installing /data/media/0/sideload.zip"
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: No MD5 file found.
E: Error executing updater binary in zip /data/
Sorry, what i meant was have you checked the md5 of the file you're transfering on the pc against the download site? It sounds like either the file is corrupt or your recovery can't process it

Edit: The guys in the Paranoid Android ROM thread say I need a 2.7.0.8 TWRP, That was the ROM I was initially having trouble with and trying to sideload.
I used the most recent twrp available. Think its 2.7.1.1

I was able to 4.3 B-ETA2 of paranoid android installed and working. On the TWRP suggested in this thread, the Paranoid Android thread lot are saying to get 4.4 I need the most up to date TWRP, so I guess now I can update twrp and load the latest version onto the phone without needing to sideload, hopefully.
Edit: Yup that's what happened. Worked perfectly. I basically needed to update TWRP to the latest version, after flashing an old ROM on via a sideload beucase ParanoidAndroid 4.4 needs the latest TWRP. Thanks for the advice in there. Will hit the thanks button in a sec!
Edit: Limited to 8 thanks a day, how terrible!
Hello, I want to flash Lineage OS on my XT1068. When I connect it to my PC I can reboot via fastboot, but in fastboot mode I have "wait for device" message and can't go on. I already have unlocked my bootloader and need to flash TWRP in order to flash that custom ROM.
I already tried with Motorola driver manager, but it's the same. How can I do?
