Weird problem regarding Blinkfeed - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I know very few people even care. I'm using the feed tiles on the stock sense, set the topics I'm interested in and I actually read those. But one day, when set as Highligh, it stopped updating. So the home screen only has some facebook feeds. If I de-select facebook, it went totally blank. I finally de-select all, everything, by going through the settings then re-select to have those back. I don't know what's the problem with this and asked HTC on facebook, got the typical machine answer like "perform reset, reset again, factory reset....."

Did you happen to delete some system apps on your phone? I did once and all blinkfeed would show me is Facebook updates.
Try putting this on system>app if it's missing: https://app.box.com/s/rx5up8osay2o546a2ug7

Agenda widget taking a long time to load

Hey guys,
I was wondering, if anyone else has experienced this.
I use the HTC Calendar Agenda widget on one of my home screens, and sometimes it seems to never load entires. The calendar also does this at this the same time. The loading icon appears, but not entries ever appear. Anyone else got this problem?
Thanks
Lots of views, so I assume that no one else has had this problem? Any ideas for a solution.
I have had this problem aswell. I noticed a few times that it done it when the sync icon was displayed.
Will monitor this to see if it only happens when the handset is syncing.
Just seen my handset starting to sync again so i opened the Calendar and it has stopped at the Loading... screen again. So looks like it is waiting for the sync to finish before showing the agenda.
Is this the same with your handset?
Ok sync now finished. As soon as it finished the agenda displayed instantly.
I will need to check if it only happens when the phone is syncing or not. Thanks for the info though.
Hey guys, I will see if I can replicate and fix this problem. I can think of a few reasons it might happen so hopefully I can squeeze a fix into the next release.

I am confused. The next release of what exactly?
I am simply using the HTC Agenda widget, so I don't see how you can fix it?
Lol, sorry, I thought you meant Android Agenda Widget
I think it is still a bug in AAW so I will try and fix it anyways
I'm still getting problems with this if anyone can help?
i had this problem too, i deleted the calenda data and let it redownload events from gmail and now its is fine
Cool. Thanks mate. Is there a fast way of deleting all the data? Still fairly new to Android

I think the way to do it would be to goto your Account & Sync options and remove and re-add your google account.
Unless there is another way

actually the way i did it was go into settings, applications, find the calendar and select clear data
then just wait till it syncs to gmail and downloads all your events again

Just to update, i done this and all seems to be working fine for now.
My Facebook birthdays and events disappeared also and wouldn't come back, so i cleared my Facebook for HTC Sense data also and went through the setup wizard for Facebook again. After sync they all appeared again fine.
So far calendar is running smooth. Fingers crossed it continues.

Facebook Gallery Issue with Sync Pictures still no perm fix

I have just been in the phone to HTC UK who haven't got any idea of how to solve the facebook crisis with syncing pictures in the gallery
and have stated its a bug which should be corrected
I have with a bit of trial and error managed to solve the issue - yes I know this is another forum topic but its important that users know how to do it as its causing users a nightmare
Right first thing
Go into settings
then into accounts and sync
on the facebook account ensure live feed is unchecked
Now go to settings and apps
go to all
search on facebook
you will get facebook and facebook for htc sense
select each one and clear the data and cache
go back and do the same for the gallery app
if you now check your gallery you will have no facebook pictures in it
If you now launch the facebook app sign in as normal as clearing the cache will remove your account
when you sign in ensure you don't sync contacts
now go to settings and account and sync
go to facebook again and ensure the live feed has remained unchecked
if you now go into the gallery you will not be able to see your facebook pictures and it will be restored back to normal for my photos
the only issue is that if you click on friends it wont contact anything as you have cleared the data and the pictures
until htc sort a fix out this is the best we can do
The guy at htc has escalated the bug and it should be looked at next firmware release
 SOLVED | Don't forget to thank me if you appreciate my work
Re: Facebook Gallery Issue with Sync Pictures SOLVED
Cancel they remained off for 20 mins and now back on my gallery grrr HTC need to sort this annoyance out

what i've done is - disable live feed sync in facebook. then wipe htc facebook data in apps. forks fine for now)
Re: Facebook Gallery Issue with Sync Pictures SOLVED
Never sign in to facebook via htc sense. All it will do is give you problems. Just log in with the app and sync nothing.

If you sign in with the facebook app it automatically seems to do it via sense ... no matter which way I have cleared the cache / data and signed in the pictures keep coming back
I am now trying to use an apk which I have found on the internet for 2.2.1 facebook to see if that will sort it
if you look in the app menu for facebook and disable the app .. and then go to the market you have to re enable which then gives you the same issues
it seems like htc have really sown up facebook on the device
ill let you know how I go on with a separate apk I don't want facebook in my gallery and still keep trying to find a way round it
open your facebook account go to Account Settings->Apps then configure "facebook for htc sense" or just remove it then your problem is solved.
Re: Facebook Gallery Issue with Sync Pictures SOLVED
Nope still populates the gallery
In accounts there is only facebook not facebook sense
How do you launch facebook sense ?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Weird it used to work on Sense 4+. Friendstream can't pull any data on facebook when I remove it directly on my facebook account
Re: Facebook Gallery Issue with Sync Pictures SOLVED
Think HTC need to sort this bug out only way at moment is to disable facebook which seems pointless
I'll use another gallery till sorted
Only grumble I have is about the facebook integration other than that love the phone

Same problem here. Pretty damn annoying Lots of junk in my gallery now!!
Maybe the thread title should be changed to remove the "Solved" from it, i catch the title now and again and keep looking only to realize it still isn't solved.

Yeah exactly. Come on OP change the title. Very misleading because I remembered this thread and searched for it just to get a fix, when I found it I realised it doesn't work. Mods?
Have amended it does clear when logged into facebook temp but not a permanent fix
Thought I'd cracked it but alas no HTC have escalated the issue so hopefully fix well get released cos it's damn annoying

How about disabling the facebook app from setting/app and then download just another app for facebook instead of using the integrated facebook app??
think that should work?

Ok I use Gmail for my Mail account. That explains the lockscreen issue.thanks for that!
Is it right that with Android 4.2 we can use lockscreen widgets,so i can customize with Gmail?
In case of the calendar issue I am using the stock app, which was preloaded on the HTC One. Any more suggestions why it doesnt show up?

for the first question that'll depend. android 4.2.2 stock comes with lockscreen widgets. whether HTC decides to add them to their lockscreen setup is a completely other issue lols.
as for your second issue. check the blinkfeed topics and services section. scroll to the left and see what services you have toggled on. you have to have calendar on for it to show. it shows fine for me. also it does not pre-show events you have coming up only when the event is happening at that moment. so i have my calendar setup for my classes. say i have class at 3pm. blinkfeed will not tell me i have a class coming up at 3pm if i update it at 1pm. it will show up though when i update my blinkfeed around 3:20pm though. An interesting tid bit is if you have way too many topics and facebook stuff your calendar blinkfeed will get pushed down and you wont see it. (IE it wont have priority space on the blinkfeed area)
hopefully that helps explain it a bit.

Thanks for answering, but it still doesn't work. I guess it's my blinkfeed, which is bugged somehow and I can't see a way to get in working despite trying hard. Maybe I just have to live with this and adapt to it or wait for an update to fix this bug

Are you on a stock ROM? Or custom? I'm on ordroid 5.0.0 and it works fine. Are you sure your Google calendars are updating? Do you see stuff when you go into the calendar app?

It seems that Blinkfeed only show the calendar entries that is due for today. Try adding something in your calender for today and reboot your phone. It should show then.
Hey guys,
I know that this isn't a new topic, but I having some problems with my HTC ONE.
My calendar doesn't show the events, events is in it`s data base, but still not showing in application.
When i use search i can found my events.
My HTC is updated to android 4.3
I've tried to reconfigure the accounts, but have no effect.
I using the default application, that came with the phone.
Someone knows what I need to do for correct this issue?
Below some screenshots.
Same issue
I have "Contacts Birthday's and Events" calendar subscribed in my Gmail and I maintain the birthday dates of all my contacts in Gmail [format: December DD, YYYY]. In HTC calendar [Accounts] i checked the Google option and in that i checked "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option, which takes the birthdays dates from my Gmail contacts and sets reminders and notifications. But I am not able to see any notifications from the calendar.
Now, i have another option in HTC Calendar Accounts called "People (Birthdays & Anniversaries)" and i have no idea where this option came from and from where it takes the birthday data from but it displays the birthdays. The annoying thing is when an event is about to occur this People thing displays 4 reminders for the same event, which is irritating.
I want to know where this People option came from and from where its taking the data and why the hell cant i see the Gmail contacts birthdays through the "Contacts Birthday's and Events" option??? :crying:

push email not working for my HTC One in UK?

hello all
i've had my phone since april and it's never disappointed me. i think everything works great on this phone and have had no problems
but recently the only way i can check me email is by going into the native email app itself and refreshing it.. same goes for gmail app and htc weather.. i've checked all the settings and there all set to push even when not at peak time but still doesn't make a difference.
could an app i've installed perhaps messed with the settings? is anyone else having 'syncing' problems and knows a solution?
please help if possible
had a look on google and doesn't seem to be a resolution (that i could find, anyway..)
:highfive:
Have you made sure that you have auto sync on? Go into sync & accounts and make sure that the accounts are set to sync
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
This annoyed me back when I have a Nexus 4, and I assumed it was the Nexus, or android 4.2.2 but it occurs on the Gmail app in android 4.1.2 as well.
If you test the gmail app, by sending emails to gmail account, and waiting for it to notify you of the emails, it'll take an age, unless you go into the app and update it manually.
I have auto sync on and all my accounts are set to sync, it even shows that it syncs the gmail account regularly, but the app just doesn't push the mail to you.
Not sure what can be done about it, but simple tests will show it happens regardless of auto sync settings. I am considering using the Email app and pulling mail every 15 minutes.
I have the exact same problem, it seems to me it only occurs with Sense-apps, for me it was the mail first, then I noticed the weather as well so I checked Blinkfeed and all have the same behavior, they won't update automatically. On my homescreen the date and weather is still the one from yesterday.. Quite upsetting. Surely you can use 3rd party apps for all this if you depend on that updating by itself or you could do it manually, but it's still very much an issue for me so I've written to HTC yesterday, curious if they can help with this.
Ah thankyou for the suggestions all! So I had a fiddle round with everything, went into the Gmail app turned auto sync on.. But also realised I have the Trust Security app and it was measuring my data. I turned that off and ta da.. My push is working again! Anyway got a better suggestion for a security app!? Haha.
Honestly love this phone and HTC seem really great to me so far! So hope they reply to you.
Thanks again everyone hope it doesn't do this again I was getting really worried haha

[Q] Calendar doesn't show in Blinkfeed

I was able to see the calendar in Blinkfeed when I first got the phone, but at some point I removed all content from Blinkfeed, removed Blinkfeed and reset the phone (on an unrelated matter). Calendar is checked on Services and Apps, but it doesn't show in the feed. Any idea on how to restore it so the calendar shows? Stock ROM, rooted.
Edit: Hmm, not sure what I did, was trying several things last night in calendar settings etc. and none seemed to work, but this morning I checked and there it was in Blinkfeed again...
Same thing here. Not sure but I read somewhere that calendar comes on in the morning hours.
Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
Calendar comes up once a day. Mine works fine. If you have appts for that day they show.
