Problem with proximity sensor. - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My proximity sensor doesn't work properly. When i make a call the screen shut down before I take it to my ear. I try the diagnostics app and the proximity test failed.
My phone is naked, no cases and no screen protectors. Latest firmware.

Well, resolved by myself doing a restore with pc companion.

[Q] Landscape app

Is there an app that lets you turn the phone into landscape mode. The reason I ask is because my auto rotate doesnt work.
Try testing the sensor with *#0*# and see if it's a sensor issue.

Proximity sensor not working while dialing via Bluetooth carkit

Hello,
When starting a call in my car via Bluetooth, I cannot switch from the Bluetooth carkit to the speaker of my Xperia Z, because there is no way to wake up the phone. Whatever I do, the screen stays off and is not responding to any movement nor to the volume keys.
Has anyone noticed this behaviour as well? Is this a bug?

Do you have a screen protector, if so this can be the cause of the problem.
Press thanks if I have helped

No I don' have a screen protector, thx.

The problem is with the setting in developer settings, hang up with power button. When turned on, it is not possible switch from carkit to phone.

Deactivate sensors

Hi,
I see that the sensors are draining my battery, is it possible to turn turn them off? Especially the accelerator sensor (i don't use this ) and the proximity sensor, where is this sensor for?
Thank you!

Could you please provide the name of the app so I can download it and test for myself, it doesn't look like those sensors should be using that much power, especially when in idle, do you have shake to wake and auto brightness on? Unless there's another App involved, those are the likely reasons
Edit
NM, android tuner, got it and testing now

Alright, it's definitely an app you've installed or rom/kernel set up that's causing that, try out gsam on the play store, that may come up with a way to find the app/s causing the accelerometer and light sensors to consume that amount of power. It might even show you how to manage it good luck

Thanks for the information! I'm using autobrightness and pocket detection, maybe the problem is with the pocket detection?

I'm using elementalx kernel

Here are some screenshots

Looks like it is the pocket detection, try wiping cache, dalvik cache and reflashing elemental x kernel again. See how that goes, if it still uses the sensors too much, try reinstalling elemental again but decrease the sensitivity of the sensors a little. Play around with it and see what happens, pretty safe hope it works for you

Whenever I buy a new phone, this is the first app I run to find out if everything is functioning. It will tell you if your device has any borked sensors.
