So you have hboot access correct? You have to relock bootloader and flash stock ruu.
To relock bootloader, go to this page and do STEP 6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1578546
After relock bootloader, flash stock RUU.
To flash stock RUU do this (YOU ONLY CAN DO THIS AFTER RELOCK BOOTLOADER):
1. Download to your PC the proper stock RUU for your device http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128104
2. Enter in HBOOT (Take out your battery and put it back in, then, press Volume Down+Power)
3. Connect your phone to PC via USB,
4. Select fasboot mode
5. Flash stock RUU.
Hope it's help.

Your sensations XL is HTC-Turkey HTC__M27
You can download the stock RUU for your phone here:

Hi guys,
I'm new to the android world. I just got a HTC Sensation XL from a friend who says it doesn't work right anymore after he dropped it on the floor. So now I try to repair the thing, because I could keep it.
The problem ohone stuck on HTC Logo and won't boot. It's possible to get it in bootloader and it looks like this:
*LOCKED*
S-ON
HBoot: 1.25.0004
I dont get a connection to the PC, but after first time plug-in it installed the drivers.
So now my question is how can I get an new Ruu on this phone. What are the different possiblities.
Till now I downloaded this to versions:
2.31.401.2_Europe
1.05.401.4_Europe.
don't know which to use. Installed HTCSnyc to but it didn't find the phone.
So hope u guys will help me out
Thanks
Well I just tried 1.05.401.4but it didnt work. My CID is HTC_Y13.
Now downloading 2.31.401.2...
The 1.05 is for Gingerbread and the 2.31 is for ICS with sense 3.6. If you just want it stock and you are downloading 2.31.40.2 for europe then it should work. If it is not working, then take the long way.
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash a recovery
3. Root
4. S-off
Now after all this go run the ruu file and it should work.
Remeber after you have installed htc sync and you are going to try flash recovery or something , uninstall htc sync again.
Also a reminder , you can do the most of it via my tool, just not the unlock bootloader, that is still from htcdev.com but the tool will give you the code that is needed to copy into htcdev.com

Hey I don't get it. I want to try the "simple" way first. But what do I have to do? I uninstalled HTCSync now and unzipped zhe 2.31.401.2_Europe and now? How can i start this on my HTC Sensation XL? The phone doesn't get a connection with the computer. Should I put the phone in bootloader mode an then got to recovery ?
Sorry for this silly questions, I normally use an other OS instead of anroid. Maybe you can give me a link with a step by step intrduction or you can describe a little bit what I have to do.
Greetz
You will need to go and download it like an .exe file
The one you are missing for europe ICS is here : Download and boot phone normal and run the .exe file
if that link does not working then here and press the white button and this text : 下载
Hey thanks for the quick answer the problem is the phone stuck on HTC Logo and doesn't boot the symstem. Is there a possiblity to get a new Ruu version on it maybe with the bootloader? BEcasue bootlader starts and windows detects the phone.
then you either need to send it in or do it your self. Just unlock the bootloader and flash recovery, flash a rooted rom, boot it up and root it then s.off it and again from fully booted start the ruu file
Hmm ok than I have to do that, but do u have an step by step description what to do first, with what files?
Thanks for your help
go to the thread where you find my tool. runnymede AIO tool , in my signature
So it's me again.
I have now a cutsom ROM on my phone this one "Total_Senseless_SXL-v4.1.1"
My bootloader is unlocked and S-ON is still avaiable. How can I get now to a stock rom?
What do I have to use to relock my bootloader? After relocking I can install this ROM's?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791345
Or don't I have to relock it with the posted version of the thread? And I can simply "install" it like a custom rom?
Greetz
First i will like to ask you, what did not work with my tool ?
Next is try go to recovery and then mount sd card for pc.
Download my sd card fix from my signature and put it on the sd card and flash it. Then the sd card issue shold be gone
---------- Post added at 07:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:48 AM ----------
If it is from recovery that the sd card fails in then you have not installed a proper working recovery. You should be able to boot the phone up and then enable Debugging in settings on the phone and then press either CWM recovery or TWRP recovery in my tool and it should reboot to bootloader, flash the recovery then reboot to system again.
If it is not working for you. Please tell me it so i can fix it
Sv: Sensation XL instal Ruu.exe
Better to use TWRP recovery than cwm.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio X315e using xda app-developers app
My bad. 1.05.401.4 worked just fine when I put S-ON back and ran the file when phone was in fastboot.
Hi after a second try it worked. But I didn't test anything. Just installed a new CWM 6.anything I think.
So in this way there is nothing to fix on recovery mode or sd card. I just worked wrong with the program.
So I'm still on this custom rom: Total_Senseless_SXL-v4.1.1
can I simply take one of this versions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791345
and do it like the custom rom update? Means wipe all data and then install this ROM from the thread above ? Are these rom's stock rom's? Don't understand it because the thread title says stock AND root?
I just want to install a stock (original HTC) version on my custom rom
Sorry for the silly questions but there re so much guides that I don't know what to do

It you have EUROPE CID then flash this
http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.ph...odel=Runnymede
If it doenst work use this link
http://hotfile.com/dl/145704399/e91...822.10.10.12_M_release_222101_signed.exe.html

Install that Europe Version of GingerBread.
When finish let it boot and when setup is finish update via OTA to ICS..
If this doesnt work then S-off with this. ----->
http://unlimited.io/runnymede.htm
You will change your hboot version. Use that 4445 version in download. Its unsecure hboot.
Follow the ADB steps carefully and when done reboot into bootloader again. Flash custom recovery like TWRP
Wipe cache,dalvik,system
Then reboot into bootloader again
FastbootADB and run the RUU from PC
I think I have frazzled my brain trying to understand what I need to do to go from a carrier branded ROM (Vodafone UK), to a complete stock unbranded ROM. I have no intention of requiring root, custom roms etc in the future. All I want is to get rid of this vodafone rom, go to the HTC stock rom and therefore receive timely updates when HTC release them, not when Vodafone decide it's time....
As far as I can tell I need to do the following; unlock the bootloader, s-off (using rumrunner), flash stock rom, flash stock firmware (this is where I get confused as I don't understand this MID/CID business).
Do I then need to S-ON/re-lock the bootloader again to receive future OTA updates?
Best way is:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. S-OFF using rumrunner
3. Change CID to HTC__001
4. Flash 1.28.401.7 RUU
5. Get OTA updates to 3.62.401.1
Leave the phone S-OFF and leave the CID as it is as well

The RUU isn't on the HTC site, you have to download it from here:

Hi
Have followed this excellent guide and thanks to you both for all of this.
One issue I have is that I have started the OTA updates, got to 2.24.401.8 but the phone is now telling me there are no more updates available. All steps were successfully completed, so do you know how I can get the further updates?
Cheers
HTC__001 seems to be last in line to get the update BUT if you're S-OFF you can just download the OTA file HERE and flash it in stock recovery as you would if you were using CWM. It's what I did

Yes I saw you posted that in a different thread so that's what I did too.
Also it's probably worth mentioning that you should 'fastboot oem lock' the bootloader to take advantage of the free Google drive space offer.
I don't care much for cloud storage so I haven't bothered to relock my bootloader

from memory you need to boot to the bootloader by holding power and volume down, select recovery, press volume up, and browse to the rom and select it to flash it.

once it turns red just keep fiddling with the volume buttons eventually you will see the option, sorry I couldn't be more specific, maybe someone here can give you the right instructions...
1. Get into stock recovery
2. Press volume and power to get the blue recovery menu (will take a few seconds)
3. Select 'install update from internal memory' (or something like that)
4. Select the file and press power to select it
5. Reboot when prompted
Remember, this only works if you're S-OFF

Before i relock i can load a cwm recovery.
In the recovery i try everything: cache, data, system wipe - factory reset (failed and reload everytime) - try via sideload to install a custom rom (loading the file to device but cannot install...)
After that i read more about the device and i want back to clean stock......but now the only working is fastboot mode to managed the device via PC.
One thing i wont to try was the install a nandroid backup via OTG cable....but this works only in a recovery - right?
It would be nice to unlock the bootloader again so that i came back to recovery...but how?
The fastboot command " fastboot oem unlock" wont work...command error???!!!!!

Better to use TWRP 2.6.3.3 not CWM, some roms can't be flashed correctly with CWM.

It still does not work. Wrong imaging ....

1.28.401.7 is a downgrade and you can't downgrade with S-ON, you must use a ruu same or higher version installed on your phone (1.29.401.10 +)
So,
i downloaded your recommendation:
"RUU M7 UL K44 SENSE55 MR HTC Europe 4.19.401.9 R Radio 4A.23.3263.28 10.38r.1157.04L Release 353069 Signed 2-1"
and try to install but i get imaging error.
The phone shows the silver htc logo and aborted during pushing the files to the device with this imaging error message.....
MD5 matched!
Is this also the wrong RUU??
Somehow I can not get to the target Very disappointing ...
Any ideas?
I get the unlock code from htcdev.com.
Better work with unlocked device (recovery, sideload, nandroid backup option via OTG cable)???
I have solved the problem:
That's what I did:
Unlock the bootloader via htcdev.com.
Get the cwm recovery back .
Flash the current cwm recovery via fastboot (my recovery was a little bit outdated).
Flash via sideload cm11 Rom.
Device booting until the bootanimation :victory:
Back to recovery do all the wipe stuff.
And yes i have fully working device now
Great!
But unfortunately I have not a RUU to get back to the factory defaults ....
But there are still a few RUU or nandroid backups that I can try ...

Your problem is the current ROM is not 100% stock, some files are missing especially the preload.
1. What is your current software version no. ?
2. unlock the bootloader again and flash TWRP
3. flash a stock ROM.zip of your version no. or restore a proper nandroid backup
4. reboot and do the normal setup
5. reboot to bootloader
6. flash the stock recovery
7. reboot and do the OTA
So ... solve the no. 1 first.

My software version number is 4.20.707.7 with HBOOT 1.56. I don't have stock ROM readily available anywhere like htc1guru etc., so I am downloading it from one of the xda thread.
Now
I will install TWRP,
reset stock ROM (there is also an option of installin stock recovery) once my download finishes.
Then again will lock boot loader,
put S ON back
update sense 6 OTA.

1. There is another file that you need to flash after that ROM zip.
See : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52981541&postcount=57
2. There is no need to lock boot loader and put S-On back (if now is S-Off) to do OTA update
Only stock recovery is needed

By stock rom do you mean the Cricket (aka AIO Wireless) RUU?
If so:
1) (was reflash kernel... not needed as RUU will replace it)
2) If you're not on the stock recovery: reflash the stock recovery using fastboot
3) relock the bootloader fastboot oem lock
4)reboot phone in RUU mode : fastboot oem rebootRUU
5) Run the RUU application on your computer in administrator mode... it'll take about 15 minutes...
6) Your phone will restart and going into a factory reset(you'll lose all data) which can take awhile.
**Note:Removing the micro sdcard and sim are rumored to speed it up.
7)Let it do it's thing. Eventually it'll reboot with that familiar Cricket boot sound.
Or: If you mean the RAR file Kalisto2002 posted... it should just be a folder of TWRP backup files, put it in your microSD card under TWRP/Backups/*YourDeviceName*/

Most of your information is correct however, you don't have to flash the stock recovery if you're planning on using an RUU to repair/return the phone to stock settings because the RUU will do that anyway you just have to relock the bootloader

Plug the phone into a computer and then make sure you're in fastboot mode and type fastboot oem lock
But be warned if you're not planning to use the RUU I wouldn't relock the bootloader if haven't read up on what you're doing because then you'll just get stuck on HBoot.

You need to download the Sprint RUU at this point and run it from a computer... One other thing, don't bother trying to use another carries SIM card in the phone, it's not going to happen. If the phone says Sprint you have to use Sprint.

You need to boot the phone into recovery and tap restore in order to use those files.
And that's all I have to do is click restore, I'm using TWRP recovery.

Because you need to manually put that zip of files in the backup folder on your sd card and find the folder called TWRP then Backups then you'll see a folder called something similar to FA48X(and some numbers here) place the zip file in here then go try to restore.
Ok I figured it out I had to create a back up first before the backups fold could be found but everything seems to be in order thanks again.
