No root,no custom rom.STOCK!
Where is it???does it have ?
What is your CID?
Has the update been rolled out to your CID yet?
Has the update been rolled out to your region yet?
Is it carrier branded?
Has your carrier released an update yet?
If you're completely stock, the answer to one of those is probably no.

Don't worry dude. I had same thing with my HTC until I flashed it. I suppose you have chinese version for developers. Check you CID, I have 11111111 that's why you can flash it as you want. It comes with custom recovery.
I'm having the same issue, its stock dual sim not carrier version.
how to wait for HTC? not getting you.
its running 4.1.2 now

are you sure it's stock?
1- check your bootloader screen for signs of tampering (S-Off, CID #, etc)
2- check your "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n, if you're going to post it here)
I'm guessing as it's Chinese, and they don't like people doing things themselves, that they've disabled the software update feature on the phone in their build

not sure, so far i've seen a few guys with "supposedly" stock ones, and they were s-off, supercid, locked (not relocked), etc. and obviously they didnt do it.

There is a way to root them so they could've easily bought from someone that did it all before selling it...I believe these are also missing the Play Store IIRC
Having said that, I could be getting confused with the Mexican Ones that didn't have the Play Store
Use computer to update.

Hey everyone,
My brother just got a HTC Sensation XL for Christmas, however it was bought abroad in Hong Kong, and unknown to my parents had been flashed to the Hokin XL Anzhi ROM, I am just wondering if there is any way to revert it back to the stock HTC rom that would come on this phone. I have no backups of it obviously as we never had the original ROM. If this isnt possible, what is the best alternative, as this ROM seems useless with no English Browser, no android market etc..
I havent really flashed ROM's before, but it seems the phone has super user, but the boot menu is in chinese. I have been having a look around the development thread and noticed the Cappy ROM being mentioned, but i would probably prefer to get it to stock if possible as it was his present and not sure what he wants to do with it yet.
Thanks in advance
* check if the bootloader is locked or unlocked *
- pull battery out and put it back
- hold POWER and VOLUME DOWN for 3sec

If it says LOCKED: Flash an RUU ~> http://www.filefactory.com/file/c0a...822_3822.10.10.12_M_release_223366_signed.exe
If it says UNLOCKED: lock it back by following these instructions http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38853656/HTCdev - Lock instructions.zip (dont forget to download & install everything first)
THEN flash an RUU
hey thanks for your response the phone was originally UNLOCKED, so i have followed all the steps, and it now shows up as 'RELOCKED' will that be ok to procedd with the RUU? or have i done something wrong? thanks!
EDIT: i also now dont seem to be able to switch the phone on properly? When i power it, the bootloader starts with the
****RELOCKED****
****SECURITY WARNING****
have i done something wrong? kind of worried now
ok well i just tried flashing the RUU but i get the ERROR 131: CUstomer ID Error. Basically the wrong RUU for this phone? is there another one available? the phone was bought in hong kong. or unless there is something else i can do to get this to work?
Here are the other RUU try an Asian one like this one

unfortunately i am still getting the Error 131 with this RUU as well.. would it be something to do with it being rooted? or any idea where i can find some more to try?
can i tell which RUU i need by looking at the bootloader screen? thanks!
EDIT: apparently the image version on my phone is 1.05.707.5, not sure if that helps.
EDIT: FOUND THE RUU THAT WORKS!! Thanks for your help, it was the WWE version that seemed to restore it. Thanks for your help
i'm glad you got it, otherwise you could just unlock again and flash RCmix

Hello everyone, I'm new in the world HTC, with the incredible s. I want to download all versions, from Froyo to ICS, Italy or the European version. Which of these should I download? I'm not understanding anything with all those acronyms
I think you can just safely ignore the carrier-specific images (Bell, Sasktel, Verizon), and the country-specific images too (looks like none of the images are Europe-specific). Pick from the "WWE" images? Just make sure you have a nandroid backup before you flash any of these ROMs in case anything bad happens.
These aren't ROMs. These will require a locked boot loader to run and revert back to the official stock released by HTC. nandroid won't do anything.

Thanks. I have been using Samsung phones since my HTC Desire HD and as far as I remember, you could only go back to complete stock settings with an RUU.

this is my first HTC too but I was on VODA UK and no RUU so have a nandroid and I am sure that if needed I could get it back to stock with the nandroid with a bit of tweeking
you plan will NOT work.
because even if you revert back to stock, the TEXT in fastboot menu will say Tempered which means you Root & Unlock'd it,
to fix this you have to be S-Off which means you can install any RUU you want,
so make sure you have a Nandroid Backup (or 2) just to be sure save it on your computer
I want to know my firmware version, but no info on InfoVersion-main.

Your Modelid is PN0712000. Thats a HTC One Play edition. Your baseband says your had installed Firmware 4.19.401.8/9
What was your last known installed rom?
With superCID i assume your S-off still
Do you not have a TWRP or CWM backup you can restore?
that could also mean you are NOT able to boot into the rom?
PN0712000 covers US DEV, ATT (?), and Canadian. Not TMOBILE US or International..
Actually i'm on hd revolution 52, but I was on hd 6.1 gpe. The reason why I was wondering witch firmware i'm on, it's because I want to update my hboot.

So what is the purpose of the question? Can you boot into your rom?
The main purpose it's because I want to upgrade my hboot. I was curious to see which firmware i'm on.

Does your phone boot into an OS.. From your getvar all output.. it appears your have no working OS.
If your on the latest radio, why update your hboot,
If for any reason your OS fails and you cannot proceed any father, you can install an RUU, regardless
IF you update to latest hboot, You may not have that option
So there's no point to update to a newer hboot? And yes I'm on arhd 52. But I just don't understand why I don't see my firmware.

Your stock firmware should be 1.29.631.4 or 1.29.631.17.

oh well you can't really go back to stock completely, but you can update to 651.10 by doing these two things:
flash stock 651.10 rom: http://themikmik.com/showthread.php?16276-SPRINT-ROM-M8WHL-Stock-Rooted-Base-1-54-651-10
flash 651.10 firmware: http://themikmik.com/showthread.php...HL-Firmware-Collection-LATEST-1-54-651-10-OTA
the rom you just flash through twrp, the firmware had instructions. I recommend the hboot option
if you're trying to update because of the bad signal problem that most spark devices are having this might nit fix it. if it didn't I recommend going back to stock looking and bringing it in to sprint for repair/replacement
you won't receive future updates Over The Air (OTA) by you can update through this method every time, the devs at xda always coffee through
