Hi there,
Few days ago I rooted my phone with vroot or 360 root (I don't remember hehe).
I've few question about Superuser app:
- should I replace this program if so how?
- the program offers to upgrade apps should I do that? Why are more updated/recent than playstore?
- what does means: clean boot? should I do that?
Thanks a lot and sorry to be so noob

I replaced it. Just downloaded superSU from Play Store (I actually use pro version but free will work also). Make sure you open it and update the binaries when it asks. Then freeze the Chinese superuser with titanium backup

Hi guys,
Some questions here:
1. I was just exploring my O4X with my Titanium Backup when I realized my superuser app isn't listed in Backup/Restore tab. Is there anyway we can do to show the app?
2. When I first rooted my phone, the given superuser app is superuser. Is it possible to use SuperSU instead? I find SuperSU much more user friendly and it's got some features that superuser doesn't.
3. Related to question no. 1 & 2, supposing I've installed SuperSU, is it safe and possible to simply uninstall the superuser app using Titanium Backup and let SuperSU take over the superuser stuff?
Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
PS. It's March 31 in Indonesia and still no sign of official JB update.

To backup Superuser or SuperSU is useless, you need always to install it because of binary.
Installing SuperSU in system will uninstall Superuser automatically but if you don't want to install it in system, you can delete /uninstall Superuser like any other app without losing ROOT (after install SuperSU, it takes control over Superuser)

I actually tried installing both apps and it seems like nothing is happening. The only problem is that I can't remove the superuser, it doesn't show up anywhere not even in Titanium Backup.
Thanks for your reply though

Download SuperSU from play store , open it , tgen go to the setting tap ,, then check the "enable SuperSU" .
Then goto "install SuperSU into /system" .
That is all .

Managed to remove Superuser. Turned out you have delete the apk from /system/app
Thanks everyone from replying

I unlocked my bootloader and installed a custom recovery. Then i intalled the supersu zip file and a custom rom. after that i found supersu and super user on my phone. Is it safe to uninstall one of them?
Yes it's safe to uninstall one of them but if you're not bothered which one you keep then I suggest uninstalling SuperSU.
I say that because I flashed back to a stock ROM a while ago and also flashed the provided rooting tools so that I could keep root access. Once I rebooted to stock, I installed SuperSU from the Play Store and decided to uninstall Superuser as I didn't need both of them on there.
Later that day I found out that I only had partial root access. I could use root apps like ROM Toolbox but I couldn't make any changes to /system.
In the end I reflashed the rooting tools so I could get Superuser back and everything worked perfectly again.
I'm not sure whether it was just a temporary problem with SuperSU or not but as long as you don't mind which you keep, that would be my advice

This happened because you flashed a stock ROM, with a stock kernel, which has write protection enabled.

I was on stock ROM but had faux kernel installed. I forgot to mention that in my post.

Haha nor me. See I knew about the write protection on stock kernel right away which is why I figured I'd be fine with faux but it still didn't want to work.
Luckily it all sorted itself out in the end so I'm back using SuperSU again

I've been trying to install Zynga poker from the playstore..
I'm unable to find it.
If i try opening it from google play link it says device is incompatible..if i use xposed hacks to override device check,it gives me an error "942"
However i can use it on my old lg P500 device, galaxy tab 3 ,micromax canvas 2 plus .
I dont seem to find a reason.
Apk's from elsewhere work, but i'm a bit reluctant since i have over 1 billion chips and dont wanna get ripped

Share the apk from any of the mentioned phones using es file explorer. Send it via Bluetooth and install it. Check if it works. Although it will not get updates but you will have the play store version.
use titanium backup to backup the game in one of your phones where the game is working and restore the game on your phone via titanium backup again

There are a lot of apps not compatible and unavailable through the playstore app.
If you mode the build.prop for n7100 it will allow you to download the app from the play store change ro.product.model=GT-N7000 to GT-N7100 and the same for ro.product.device after that save and exit then reboot the you will be able to download. I have tried and confirmed

Lol.
Its a kernel issue..infact it isnt an issue..its something that is stated by philz as a known matter and that is how stock kernel also behaves.
Only speedmod kernel doesnt have a similar problem.

these could be device as well as regional restrictions.. I cant find Google keyboard if I search directly on the PlayStore.
Hey just bought my wife a note 3 for Christmas and it is my intentions to allow all updates and then root with kingo. Root is required due to the need for tethering.
Next question is there any reason why I should not update and if so which one is desired. I do like having an Odin file... if I don't want to update what app should I freeze? It appears mj1 is what I want but what are the differences?
last question after I install kingos su can/should I attempt to install a different superuser app and then should I uninstall the kingo su? From what I can tell I really just need to install busybox.
Thanks a note 3 noob.

If you get rid of the Kingo SU you will have no way to unroot if you need to. As the Jingo SU has the unroot process built in to it..
Use foxi app if u don't want to root your phone.

That's because you were using Pro version or old app. Just install the new app from play store and check again. Do you think the root permission causing this issue then check this out and root properly.

Just get the latest free or pro version of Titanium backup to make it work on Lollipop build. You can see that super user request has already be granted but due to new Su binaries location, TBackup is unable to find SU binaries in lollipop.ll
