Hi, this is really bothering me, I hate when developers refer to phones by their carriers. I have an HTC one I bought through Telus in Canada. I would like to flash a custom rom, but I am also going to flash upgraded firmware and update my recovery.
When I go to the ClockWorkMod website to download a recovery I get a list of options: (HTC One , HTC One AT&T, HTC One Sprint, HTC One T-mobile, HTC One Non-US GSM). So How do I tell which one is for me?
I ran fastboot getvar all and found out my device is the m7_ul. But this doesn't help me when they arrange the images by carrier...

You have the GSM HTC One so this one is fine:
HTC One (non-US GSM)
It should also be in Q&A

Hello there...
I just tried to update to the latest HD revolution ROM, something ive had no problem with in the past but this time it has failed and I can't seem to get past the recovery... My phone gets to the HTC welcome page, then sticks, I can get in to recovery mode though...
can anyone help me out please?
I already have the ADB installed, HTC drivers, I did have a problem getting in to CWM recovery but flashed latestclockwork recovery via the ADB Toolkit and thats working now.. I also have a nandroid save but it is a series of files in a folder and not a zip (is that right?)..
I've tried following a few suggestions but nothing has worked so far...
Any help would be HUGELY appreciated obviously...

edit: and yes the nandroid backup is a folder containing files, not a zip.
so flash twrp 2.6.3.3
erase cache
and flash the rom again.
Thanks alray..
was a bit worried about asking a previously asked question but had spent hours staring at comments and suggestions
I'll reflash with the twrp recovery..

It'll be there until you decide to go s on again. If you do, you will get a ***TAMPER DETECTED*** message, phone will reboot and you will have to unlock the phone via HTC dev to boot the phone up
Leave it s off and lock the bootloader
It's s-off and a locked bootloader, but how to delete the warning in the menu?

As I said, this will only be removed once you go s-on. And as above, if you go back to s on you will get a TAMPER DETECTED message and a tampered bootloader
If you want to go s on, you must run an earlier RUU with an earlier hboot, either 1.44 or 1.54. These ROMs would be either 1.29.xxx.xx or 2.201.xx.xx roms. Once you run those you can safely go S on then update via OTA

First thing you should have done was to read the moderator warnings at post #1 of that thread you have linked. This guide is dangerous for your phone and there are now really easier and safer way to do this without any risk for your phone like explained in the OP and be me if you read the last pages of that thread.
2nd, your phone is a Sprint CDMA variant (M7WLS). You can't flash a M7_UL RUU (like the GPE version) on a M7WLS. The WLS variant doesn't have the same partition layout and modem as the M7_UL. So on your Sprint phone you can only flash sprint RUU. Converting your phone by changing the MID is only possible for the M7_U and M7_UL version.
3rd The gray screen is actually the eng hboot. Like explained in that guide, you can still use fastboot commands there to change your MID. But since this guide doesn't apply to your phone, what you need to do now is to reflash your stock bootloader over the eng bootloader which will get you out of this mess.
4th If you don't get fastboot connectivity at the gray screen, its probably because you didn't read the warning at post #2 neither. You have to use Windows 7 since newer versions of windows can't detect the phone on hboot 1.44 and below (the eng hboot is 1.39....)

Hi
I want to get back to stock rom, but i'm lost when it comes to selecting the right software for my device.
Right now it runs TWRP and CM12.
I have previously tried to get back to stock rom, but an OTA update (containing firmware 7.19.401.30) more or less bricked it.
I used a backup to get back and the later installed CM12
Im not sure which firmware its running right now because it says "OS-7.19.401.30 (7.19.401.2)"

Are you s-off?
Since your version-main is 7.19.401.30
This is the firmware you have currently, so search for a 7.19.401.30 twrp backup and restore it in twrp, and dont update through htc's ota unless you have a matching stock recovery

You can use the 7.19.401.22 RUU from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/lollipop-ruu-zip-small-collection-t3053944
BUT, you will have to follow the "How to Downgrade with S-On" steps at the bottom of page two, as the ruu is older than your current version main
Note flashing a ruu will wipe data. Flashing instructions are on top of page one.

Hello guys, I've bought this 2nd handset awhile a go,, it came rooted, and with a relocked bootloader. So far i had no success trying to put it back together to work. Hello guys, I've bought this 2nd handset awhile a go,, it came rooted, and with a relocked bootloader. So far i had no success trying to put it back together to work. I do think the problem is with the firmware so it wont allow wifi or bluetooth connections,, but I'm unsure , there's a pic attached here

Go back to stock firmware and see if it solve the problem. The latest version for your phone is 7.19.401.51, you can find the RUU in the ruu collection thread in general section (link also in my signature under the spoiler)
