I use multidpi apps, but I don't know which DPI setting seems to be the best. Who can help ?
I prefer stock dpi you have to try them all .

I was stuck on 200 for a while now trying 210. (200 was fine with a sharpness fix, but as i dont have it now, 210 looks better)
Also depends on the font you are using.
EDIT: Add a poll maybe? (no idea if that will help to get some opinion)
btw, is there any apps can change the DPI?
it seems that my fonts have some kind of blur...

try to search on the market for , LCD density changer etc ? , and the blur, hmm, I get that when I am using a screenfilter.
Could work at maybe 220 or 200 but at 240 for sure it's gingerbread.
Edit: works @ 220 also.

Ok that's just friggin bizarre...
Hello, Ice Cream Sandwich.
I didnt have the lcd parameter in my build.prop. Is that possible?
Second I added it but it does not seem to have done anything. I bumped it to 220.
Under what folder is the build.prop file?
It is located under System.
Cant find the line where to change the LCD density in the build file?

I didnt find it in mine, so I just added it in: ro.sf.lcd_density=220
i just used the lcd density app.
You can also add it to /data/local.prop.
I noticed while themeing that all the gingerbread icons where in the Xoom apks..
I guess all the density hack does is use the HDPI instead of the MDPI drawable folders
This takes it to high density from medium density.
It's all making sense to me now
I tried 200 and went into an infinate boot loop, had to hard boot to get out of it

What!? I was gonna try 200 but now I'll wait.
I actually would not recommend editing the build file, if you screw it up with a too high etting you will probably have to reflash it with an older image, rather use the LCD setting app, that way you can reset it
I used the lcd density for root app off the market and changed it to 180 and 200 and got the gingerbread look. But its useless cuz it u have no access to ur back and home buttons. Once u click into n app or something ur stuck.

Yeah, really need the physical buttons for this unless someone can code in some virtual buttons.
ok so i used this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lv.n3o.lcddensity
instead of changing the value in build.prop...
and it doesnt change the ui of the apps, anything ets smaller thats it..
do i really have to change the build.prop?
i did bad things to it on my last phone...

Can I change the screen resolution of my s3 mini in any way? i changed them with app settings (xposed) in facebook and facebook messenger (but i guess it's kind of the dpi then?? or maybe not??) anyway, in those apps the icon's are most the same size just the images are more sharp etc. pretty cool!! um... maybe i could change the jellybean main app to a higher resoltion by app settings?
i tried custom dpi already, it seems like the screen doesn't really get sharper other than on the resoltion change in facebook!
thanks guy!
jellybean (surface) didn't make any changes excerpt a crooked lockscreen so far so i'm now at "touchwiz-start" which crashed 2times checking if i find a higher resolution though.. this is definitely one of the apps i need to change...:good:
did some more changes now i need to restore nandroid.. not going to continue trieng until somebody can give me an answer if it's possible.. lol thanks

Not possible without root. And changing dpi makes flyme bad to look.
Adb on pc
Set resolution and dpi density.
