Hi All,
On My rooted/unlocked S-ON HTC ONE (M7_U & HTC__J15) whenever i try to access stock recovery, I get Red Exclamation Mark with errors
mount SDCARD failed 1 times
mount SDCARD failed 2 times
mount SDCARD failed 3 times
mount SDCARD failed 4 times
mount SDCARD failed 5 times
can not mount SD card. (No such file or directory)
Disable host mode:0
My question: is that normal or not? if not, can it be fixed & how? Also Whenever i pick apply from phone storage or sdcard the phone reboots.
Can anyone help or assist please, thanks

Not enough info
Are you still running a stock rom?
Have you tried to resolve this using the ADB method - if not use the search option as this should help you return fully to stock
Also these threads may or may not assist you:

Yes I'm running Stock ROM & Stock Recovery

I am having the same issue now, I have flashed it with
Guru Reset M7 3.62.401.1
from http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/ as I managed to soft brick it a little after my rooted and customer recovery TWRP could not upgrade the OTA 4.4.2.
Now I am seing the same in the recovery and I wonder if it is ok or not.

That is completely normal, unless you're S-OFF you cannot flash a file from stock recovery and it will reboot

Dont go to sdcard

What does this mean?

like EddyOs said you can't use stock recovery to flash files if your phone is s-on
and this message:
Code:
mount SDCARD failed 1 times
mount SDCARD failed 2 times
mount SDCARD failed 3 times
mount SDCARD failed 4 times
mount SDCARD failed 5 times
can not mount SD card. (No such file or directory)
Disable host mode:0
is always present on all phones and 100% normal.
So if you are S-ON there is nothing you can flash with the stock recovery.

cannot mount sdcard in recovery

My new One is stock, no unlock and no root. CID is HTC__001
I try to flash the 1.29 OTA package from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2241524
I download it and put it in /sdcard
Then I reboot my One into recovery.
But in recovery, it shows that
mount sdcard failed 1 times
mount sdcard failed 2 times
mount sdcard failed 3 times
mount sdcard failed 4 times
mount sdcard failed 5 times
can not mount sdcard.(no such file or directory)
So nothing happened when I choose update.
Does anybody meet such problems?
Something tells me if it was that easy everyone would be flashing updates this way, best bet is to wait for the OTA update for your phone to avoid any issues.

mount sdcard failed (trying to update to 4.4)

i'm trying to update to 4.4. it's a t-mobile htc one that was fully converted to the gpe edition running stock. i flashed back the stock recovery and now when i try to boot into recovery to sideload the update it says "Mount SDCARD failed 1.... 5 times. Can not mount SD Card (No such file or directory). I: Write host_mode:0 done." and when i try to apply from phone storage it says /system/app/books.apk has unexpected contents. what can i do??

Stock Recovery Problem

"Mount SDCARD failed 1 times
Mount SDCARD failed 2 times
Mount SDCARD failed 3 times
Mount SDCARD failed 4 times
Mount SDCARD failed 5 times
Can not mount SD Card.(No such file or directory)
1:Write host_mode:0 done"
Please help me with this,I am unable to apply ota update on my stock recovery. Whenever I try to enter stock recovery i got this error
And the recovery screen is also something with red mark.

[Q] Having some Big problems on my motorola razr i! please help.

Hey guys.
So i have this razr i with TWRP 2.8.0.0 recovery installed on my phone and my bootloader is unlocked. I have installed several diferent roms on it over time, and this time i tried to install the unofficial Cyanogenmod 11 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/razr-i/development/rom-unofficial-cyanogenmod-11-t2966855) but things went totally wrong when i formated the phone on recovery.
Here's what i did:
1- booted into recovery
2- went to the "wipe" tab
3- taped on "advanced wipe" and selected eveything (Dalvik cache/System/Cache/Data/Internal storage/Micro SDcard), then started formatting
4- after about an hour and a half it was still checking for md5... so i rebooted
5- when i rebooted i realized that everything was gone, including the rom files on the sdcard, so i passed the files from my pc again and tried to install but nothing happend.
6- now for unkown reasons all i see is:
Code:
E: Unable to mount '/data'
E: unable to recreate /data/media folder.
Updating partition details...
E: unable to mount '/data'
E: unable to mount internal storage.
E: unable to mount /data/media during GUI startup
FUll SElinux support is present.
E: unable to mount /data/media/TWRP/.twrps when trying to read settings file
E: unable to mount '/data'
MTP Enabled
So... My PC has the motorola drivers installed and i've also tried on mac (i have a Macbook pro with widows and mac os), but none of the recognize my phone so i can't use adb or anything that could help with this.
Does anyone know what to do? I just want to install stock jellybean again and then try the cm11 rom.

Yes i can, bootloader and recovery, but as i said my phone isn't recognized so adb sideload does not work.
I tried using mac because i read somewhere that you don't need drivers on there, but it didn't work either... unless i'm doing something wrong

I've experienced with similar situation getting no adb in TWRP. However, when I chose Advanced/Adb sideload, adb sideload did work for me.
PS: Maybe you can try install aother recovery.
Hey! Apparently, your phone has now all the partitions corrupt, because of that failed format. Have you tried installing a stock ROM through RSD Lite?
I once had a similar issue, solved it with a clean SBF flash.
Also, to install a new ROM, you should:
1.Boot in TWRP
2.Go to 'Settings'
3.Check 'Use rm -rf instead of formatting.'
Then, the wiping process wont take more than a couple of seconds, and should install ROM's without problems.
Hope you solve it, and sorry for my english if I made any mistakes.

Have u read the install instructions? The instructions stated that u needed to use the latest recoverys and u still use the 2.8.0.0 one.
The earlier versions have problems on some phones like the one u have now. Some do have the problem some don't. U can fix it by erasing the userdata through fastboot hopefully or by installing touchcwm (the earliest of recoverys for this device) and formatting it that way. Most of the time this fixes the problem.

i tried what you said but i still get this problem:
Code:
E; Unable to mount '/data'
E: unable to mount internal storage.
EDIT:
By the way, how do you do an SBF flash?
You have to download one from your region. You can make it to the fastboot menu? And it doesn't detect the phone?

Since this morning, my janice fails to mount the sdcard0 failing to download files from the browser, or pictures from whatsapp. Going in -Settings - internal memory; the sdcard0 been damaged and that to use it you must first configure / format it. What izwan15 is saying is that
GO TO RECOVERY (vol UP + HOME +POWER)
Select mount and storage option
See if sd card0(internal memory card) is mounted if you see it unmount , just click and mount it ,
reboot and see if it fixes the problem .
hope it helps
From recovery when I go to - Mounts and Storage - mount / storage / sdcard0 appear this error message: / storage / sdcard0: Idle-Unmounted E: Error mounting / storage / sdcard0.
I do not know which way to turn!
Please help me!!

HI , well i would say that the partition table is screwed for some reason, because the internal storage partition has gone completely gone you are having this issue simple thing to solve this would be flashing stock which will ultimately repart the partitions and format the sdcard0. [Try to backup some important data first].
SOLVED. Give a medal to this man. Thank you so much @DaksAnkit.
I installed the Stock Rom via custom recovery (found on another forum by a user called Gargaros) and subsequently by a temporary recovery reinstalled the Rom I wanted (in my case 5.1.1). Now everything works perfectly!:victory:
