[Q] De HTC One Tmobile back to stock not working - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
Sorry if this topic is out there allready but I can't seem to find it.
I have my HTC One unlocked with HTC Dev and installed a nice little rom.
Now I want to revert back to stock but I I can't seem to get it done.
I am still on S-on but the revone S-off is not working.
Even when I do it through the adb shell on windows it tells me error code 1 and when I use it through a terminal it tells me success and when I reboot en do the next step in the list it says I'm not s-off (the boatloader also still says s-on)
Then I tried relocking the boatloader and searching for the correct ruu file.
But it the phone has a german 1.29.111.11 version and I can't find it anywhere.
Currently I have miui V5 running but I do want to revert back to stock once.
Just so I know can and how.
Can you guys help me OR sent me in the correct direction ?
Thanks

Bricked again?

So got the Incredible S in the beginning of July and was very happy with it, beat the hell out of my old HD2 who got bricked Desided not to root this one cause it was already android and i didnt want to break the warranty. But then the 2.3.3 update came and i didnt recieve text and calls was dismissed. (it is an own thread about this issue on the forums) so i desided to try a rom from XDA to see if this could help solve the issue. It did not but i rooted the phone (S-off right?) and used it with GSM only.. today i talked with HTC support and got a hold of the RUU_Vivo_HTC_WWE_1.36.405.1_Radio_Radio_20.23.30.0 802U_38.02.01.11_M_release_172670_signed.. the cusomter support guy uploaded it and i installed it with the USB cable.. the installer said everything went fine.. the phone reebots.. boots to the HTC logo screen and turns off again.. and keeps on going in the same cycle..
I can get into bootloader, but when i press "power" to choose recovery it goes straight to the white htc screen again and reebots.. what to do now? Is this one dead also?
Tried rename RUU to PG32IMG and put it on the memory card.. still no luck it says "Bootloader - Bypasses"
"TP - Bypassed"
"TP - Bypassed"
Why? And still no luck tried with two signed RUU's now.. The bootloader says
Vivo PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT 6.13.1002
At least i want all the Revolutionary stuff gone.. Any idea? Im out of ideas right now.. Oh geez, it booted the 2.1.3 RUU.. nice.
But why would not the other room work? This is the one i have to get workin.. Any ideas?
Does the RUU got a radio in it? Please share this RUU cause I believe this is not avaible anywhere. I would give it a try then and report if I have issues.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
Yes I think it can be a radio conflict too, perhaps you downgraded it.
Here you go Please give a report if it work on your device
I also want to gain S-ON on my Incredible, used AlphaRevX Beta to get the S-OFF but i need it to be S-ON again, and i cant really fint the information on how to do it. These forums are amazing but very hard to navigate true, and find the information you are looking for.
Was thinking... You said you are S-OFF and then installed the 1.36 RUU. Possibly this RUU or ROM needs an older bootloader. Cause the bootloader cannot be overwritten (I assume you used Alpharev), the installation is aborted.
The newer RUU accepts the current bootloader and therefore is being installed.
I think, when you first downgrade your Hboot to the one that can be overwritten, the RUU should work and you can enjoy Froyo again!
So did it work ?

Restoring HTC ONE to Stock (Vodafone UK)

I've currently got Android Revolution HD 12.1 installed, however I need to return the phone to Vodafone UK Stock, due to returning the phone.
I found this link, which seems to give instructions on restoring the HTC ONE, however apart from downloading the OTA_M7_UL_JB_50_Vodafone_UK.......zip file from here, I'm really not sure which method to follow.
This is the information I have from the Software Information on my phone:
Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.4.10-g445d072
Baseband version: 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01L
Build number: 2.24.401.1.CL211355
I would really appreciate some assistance

Here is a link to all RUU`s, zips and CWM/TWRP recovery rom`s http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874. You`ll need S-Off however to downgrade the Hboot. If you`re not S-Off you cannot Flasha RUU with a older Hboot. Guess you`re on HBoot 1.54.000 now. Till the revone devs find a way to modify the S-Off exploit you`re stuck, link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314582.

Thanks for responding
I've already downloaded the OTA's: Vodafone UK file from that link, however I'm really not sure what I should be doing with it
Edit
Just curious, if my phone is S-ON, how have I been able to install a custom ROM and recovery?

If the bootloader is unlocked but you`re S-On you can flash a custom recovery and roms, you however cannot downgrade or flash a newer Hboot afaik. You can`t do anything with the OTA atm, not even flash a Vodafone CWM recovery i`am afraid.

With regards to the Vodafone zip file, is it possible to flash that somehow and give the impression that's in factory state?

No mate, you don`t have a Vodafone rom, you have a custom recovery and you would need to lock the bootloader. It is not possible atm, stick with the rom you`re on for now and do not lock bootloader. Wait for revone to modify the bootloader xploit to get S-Off.

I've just gone into Bootloader and it's showing Hboot as 1.44.0000 !!
Would you mind giving me a brief outline on what I should be doing to get my phone back to vodafone stock?y
Many Thanks
Would flashing the Vodafone OTA zip file in recovery be safe or do I need to S-Off the device?
Please can someone advise
Thanks
Wow, you have quite the adventure in front of you my friend if you want to return your phone to a pure stock state. I'll outline the steps and you can do some work and find the guides to complete them. Assuming you're on hboot 1.44 you'll need to go ahead and s-off, you can then remove the tampered flag. After you're s-off you're then going to need to double check you're using a stock unmodified hboot (you should be) and flash the pertinent RUU based on your phone - there are plenty of guides on how to select this. You'll then need to s-on again, google the command "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3" to find some information on how to do that.
Basically you've got your work cut out mate, sorry I can't be more help but the process I've mentioned aren't as simple or as safe as unlocking the bootloader. You'll need to put some effort and most importantly care as any one of them can brick your phone. Once you're s-off you've opened up very sensitive partitions which if changed or written to wrongly can instantly brick your phone. As such I'd do a lot of research before you undertake any of these steps, this is just off the top of my head to give you some guidance so I'd also check them, you really can't be too careful when playing around with £500 worth of tech. Good luck!

I'm now S-Off, however what I can't get my head around is the RUU part. The Vodafone ROM that I require seems to be an OTA zip update, however I'm unsure on how to flash this as it doesn't seem to be RUU

You cannot do it with an OTA zip... you need a full RUU but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one available for Vodafone UK.
This one seems to be the closest one for you.... it's stock HTC Europe. I don't think at this time that returning to stock Vodafone is a possibility.
If you're sending it back for repair or replacement you could take a chance on sending it as it is.

Thank you for replying.
I've run that RUU from the link you provided and it stated that it's updating from 1.29.161.11 to 1.28.401.7, however an Error [131] message appeared stating 'Customer ID Error'.
Any ideas?

Ok... you need to change that ID in the phone.
Reboot the phone to bootloader then fastboot and connect to pc then from your ADB directory on PC issue the command "fastboot oem writecid HTC__001" this will then give you the right ID for the RUU.
Note it's HTC__001.... 2 underscores !

yea im having problems.........i relocked the bootloader
now i can't boot into any rom , and im trying to flash the stock rom zip via hboot and it is not going through
i tried it on the computer , and it says i can update and it will start the process and go into the boot loader , then it says failed and wants to start a recovery process
any help is appreciated , and i have been reading every post i can find on the issue , as i just did this to my girlfriends phone last night..... this is slighty different as many links are dead , and im having trouble finding everything i need
i was on TWRP recovery , but now the bootloader is locked so i have no recovery at all , im going to try and flash the zip with a locked bootloader now , but i don't anticipate it working
ive pulled the factory RUU's from multiple threads , and i can't get them to install
i've been looking for a zip of the stock rom that i can try and flash on a unlocked bootloader so i can S-off , but i haven't found one i can get to boot
like i said , i tried this one
http://bionicgeeks.the-talk.net/t14-stock-rom-att-ics-de-odexed-zip-aligned-rooted-bloated
i flashed the boot.img from the zip , and then tried to flash the zip file via TWRP and it would not boot at all.... hung at the screen after the beats splash screen
do i need to flash the stock recovery ? i don't have it if so ........ any advice what to try next ?
Ruu allows me to initiate update ...... starts sending to phone then says sending forever
....failed
any help
all the Ruu's i download send for a long time and then fail
i was not on a stock rom before trying any of this
i relocked the bootloader and then i have been trying to run the RUU
no other steps need to be taken ?
i have been searching for a working RUU all day....... none of them will actually install the firmware.... any ideas from anyone on what i should do
maybe some personal help ? im willing to try anything at this point
OK slick.... First... Slow down...
You screwed yourself badly here by just running off the handle...
First... Where in the world is your phone now...
Bootloader status...
Recovery...
Last kernel you fastbooted...
And I swear to whatever you call holy... If you ask what fastboot is...
You can find a working RUU on goo.im
Sent from my Vivid 4G using Tapatalk 4
found a zip i was able to flash of the stock rom finally worked from hboot with a locked bootloader
now i can get to s-off
I don't know why you would have such a hard time finding the right RUU. It's still on HTC's website for God's sake.

[Q] Need Help ROOTED - CUSTOM ROM (HTC ONE M8 SPRINT)

I rooted my phone and flashed a custom rom onto it and now id like to go back to Stock Rom, but Im still S- ON and the only return to stock methods i found require S-OFF and ive found RUUs but have no idea what they do. Could someone Explain how to return to root and what an RUU is and what it contains? ( HTC ONE M8 SPRINT)
the S-OFF requirement is for setting the hboot's tampered flag back. if you just want to go stock run a RUU(Rom Update utility)
your post doesn't make much sense, you start out with going to stock then ask how to return to root. also most of your question could have been answered from a simple search, e.g what is a ruu?
