If I use the cord that comes with Glass, with the plug that goes at a right angle, could I plug Glass in while I'm wearing it, running the cord behind my ear and down my back to a battery pack in my pocket?
It might looks ridiculous, but I'd feel better knowing I had the option...

Yes you can and I actually just bought one to do just this for those long days without being near a charger.

Which pack did you end up buying? I think google recommends using the wall charger that came with the Glass. And that charger charges at .25A. I wonder what the long term effects of charging it at over 1A ? Anyone have any ideas please chime in!
Sorry, I meant that I was ordering Glass! With the new version future-compatible with prescription lenses and the possibility of finessing an external battery pack, my reservations are just muted enough for me to pull the trigger.
I hadn't seen that about the charger. I have an Anker with 3A output. I may have to look into something with fewer amps, I guess?

I was thinking the same thing, if someone manufactures one of the tiny/thin curly cables like some security detail wears it would be a great combination for glass, I'd just keep the usb battery in a jacket pocket, or even on a hip clip...
With a clip for the neck of your shirt, with a micro usb end, and a USB A connector... I'd be all over it!
which one is the best one??
I do this now, I use a xtreme pax by new Trent

The Glass will only charge at the rate that it is capable of charging at. If Glass draws 0.25A when it charges, that's all it will do even if you plug it into something capable of delivering 1 trillion Amps. The charging circuit is in the device, not in the plug you stick in the wall. BTW, same thing with phones/tablets. The important thing is for the plug to be capable of delivering MORE than what the device needs.

Yup.
I have had GREAT results with an Anker 12000 mAh battery pack and a right-angle MicroUSB cable.
3 foot version of this is great for going to a jacket pocket:

Do you guys think they'll make a Qi charging adapter? The contacts would connect to the pins on the underside of the witch and the charging coils could just be covered by a black sticker. It could be like the S4 inserts for Qi charging. Wouldn't add bulk either. What do you guys think?

I'm surprised a Chinese company hasn't done this yet. Qi receivers are easily thin enough and making a charging dock like a normal watch base with a Qi coil on top would be simple enough I think. There must be a reason this hasn't happened. I'd buy it for sure. I can't stand the stock charging cradle and I'm not spending $35 for a spare one either. That's highway robbery. I'd like to see this happen.
The hardware needs to support it, but I am willing to modify hardware given to tools and instructions.
I'd buy one for sure. I'm an avid QI user with a charger bedside, couchside, in home office, work office, and the QI car charger for my Note 3.
Please make this!
I found some china magnetic microUSB cable and brand named. Who use this type of cable ? Is it usefull when phone is in case (how their compability) ?
All already buy or anybody knows nothing about it ?

2.4A Micro USB Magnetic Adapter Charging Charger Cable

That is a pretty neat thing to get.
I do have the IPAKY case, and i guess i would need to actually see if it fits with this usb adapter in reality.
I found earlier only one brand who put sizes in mm of magnetic microusb to description. It was on Amazon, and was before I buy ipaky case. Now i can't found it on Amazon, probably all was sold.?

Whats the impact to the phone? Read some reviews and there are claims that the charging circuit was fried and the battery lost its original capacity. These were for other phones though.

Battery capacity lost ? From cable ? hm
What can be fried if this a same cable, for 2.4A and if with normal 2.4A gold plated contacts ?
was looking at this too, some reviews on amazon says doesn't charge as fast a direct plug. If you try it pls post feedback.
i;m looking for a case that has a build in cover for the charging port..
didnt find any on aliexparess
any one here knows about it ?
thanks
