No at the moment I am S-ON. Never saw the need for that change as all I wanted was root for certain apps.

Well I guess now you have a need for s-off, I have never understood why people don't just do it incase they do need it.
There is a post in the Sprint HTC one general section for s-off on 1.31 see if that helps you.

I was finally able to flash the whole rom in TWRP and then had to flash the new radio from this site http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467607
I had to reflash SuperSU to keep my root but now everything looks good. I need to run it for a couple days now and see how I like it. With s-on I will not be able to downgrade but I how that doesn't become an issue.

Hello Bro
My HTC One is bricked over a week, and I tried many times to flash custom rom but still not work.

Thanks for reply. My phone is bricked, seem I cannot s-off while looping in bootloader mode?
You can flash your own ruu though
That's the error you are getting it's saying you have the wrong ruu id number. What is the cid if your phone? Try flashing that ruu

Difficulties running RUU

I was getting ready to update to 4.3 by updating the firmware on my phone. Upon updating to the 3.04 firmware I realized that my screen would not respond. I'm s-off and thought I would just run 1.29's RUU but I get this error every time.

I'm wondering if I can just fastboot flash zip firmware.zip a 1.29.651.10 firmware in order to get my screen working again?

All you need is the latest version of TWRP. If you do some reading the latest firmware isn't compatible with TWRP 2.5.0.0
So you need 2.6.3.0 (I think it's the number) download it and connect your phone in fastboot and the command you use is fastboot flash recovery (recovery name here)
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
The S-Off process is a requirement to be allowed to DOWNGRADE your firmware through an RUU process. Do not S-On. Why not just go ahead and run the full RUU as an executable file through your computer? Much easier that way.

Yes I did read that 2.6.3 had to be installed before moving up to 4.3 which I did, but in a moment of desperation I thought my backup would save the day but in reality it took me back to 2.5.5 and made things worst. So now my recovery is also unresponsive.
So I tried updating TWRP via fastboot but got this

[Q] 4.4.2 issues

so I took my sprint htc one with viperone loaded and did an ruu back to 4.3 version wiping everything, I successfully got my over the air update to 4.4.2 and decided I'd try to back down to 4.3 so I could restore my twrp viper backup however twrp won't flash currently and I think I caused issues with my bootloader. Since there is no 4.4.2 ruu available yet and I can still get to bootloader, but not recovery, I think I'm still not completely bricked. I've tried a factory restore but I end up at the white screen with green htc letters and it never goes further. Could flashing the 4.4.2 stock recovery fix my issue?

I get error [155] unknown error
this worked to flash from viper one then take all the OTA updates to 4.4.2 but now I get this 155 error
I think I have to wait for the 4.4.2 ruu to be released to get back to a fully functioning but I wanted to check around.

looks like firewater requires being able to boot into android and I can't get past the white screen with green HTC letters, I can get into the bootloader and fastboot but can't get further than that.
btw I really do appreciate the comments and suggestions, I feel like I'm just being negative and shooting each one down but I really am trying them as you post them before replying just in case I've missed something.
I can understand the older ruu versions failing as it won't let you downgrade firmwares with s-on but I'd think that some of the posted roms would work. is it possible to extract the boot and recovery from a 4.4.2 upgraded handset for flashing on another?

Reflash the latest TWRP and than flash a 4.4.2 rom, I don't see why it shouldn't work. If you really messed up(flashed some gsm rom or whatever) you'll probably have to wait for the 4.4.2 ruu to come out

[Q] Need trying to get back to complete stock from ViperOneM8

I'm trying to get back to complete stock to grab OTAs for my HTC One m8. I have s-off and I was following the guide here http://venomroms.com/viperonem8_3-0-0-requirements/ and while following the guide and looking for my Main version number and CID Number the MainVer showed up as empty and my CID Number as SPCS_001. The CID does not match anything from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376 What should I do next?
Use this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2826343
You'll need the latest RUU which can be found in the first post in the thread linked below. You can use the RUU for software version 3.31.651.2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
I would also suggest sticking to the Sprint section.
You may do something to your phone that is not for the Sprint variant and really mess up your phone.

Which RUU are you trying to run? Are you on Windows, and why are you trying to fastboot flash it? If you're on Windows simply double-click the RUU to start the installer. It's a exe file, unless you've pulled the ROM zip from the RUU file.
Also, since you've started a separate thread regarding this same issue, I would stick to it to minimize any confusion instead of posting back & forth. Makes it easier to keep up with what's going on
it's the non-hk from htc's page I'm on mac but I pulled the zip from the exe using parallels desktop, I could try doing it on parallels desktop with the windows exe though

Your s-off so you can just use an ruu.exe
You will need to downgrade the firmware first but then flash an ruu to return to stock. All can be done from the bootloader using fastboot.

I am yes, I think the problem is that the file is 990MB but for some reason my download keeps stopping at 330MB thus the file being incomplete.
Is there another link for the .zip file other than htc1guru? Theirs for some reason won't seem to download fully for me.

Of course it will not work, you should always check the md5 value after downloading the file so you can confirm its not corrupted.
