Is it that hard to go through a few rom threads?
Yes there are AOSP ROMs and you can find them easily if you search for them.
EDIT: There's a pure AOSP ROM as well as a few modified ones.

Guys I dont want to open a new thread for this question. Im on Jelly Bean (PA) but I want to go back Alliance ICS (Samsung ICS). Can I just go into recovery full wipe and flash it? or should I do sth different?
Latest PA ROM is far more stable than its previous versions give it a try..
Be carefull with Paranoid.....
...If you try it you should never want to leave this rom

[Q] AOKP vs. Cyanogenmod

So I've been aware of AOKP for a while but never took it seriously until I saw it being mentioned far more than the other non-CM roms out there.
How is it distinct from CM? Anything it does significantly better? Would you recommend it over CM10 nightly?
No I won't.
Cm10 nightly is the best from out there!!!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Have you tried AOKP? What's different?
if you like performance use cm but if you like added things use aokp
added things like what?
I would go with cm10 as it's quite smooth, gives great performance...
I agree dat AOKP is customizable but the same can be done with cm10
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
It all depends on whether u like customisin the ROM to how u like it for me its gotta be aokp its smooth as butter and its easily tailored to how I want it to look
Sent from my Jellybeaned up I9000 using xda premium
AOKP is all about tweaking and customizing your device, status bar, themes etc. But Cyanogenmod is more about performance.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
On jelly bean, aokp hasn't come as far as cm10 yet, but on ics there weren't any clear deciders as to which was more stable and feature-rich.

This kind of thread will leads in to an ugly argument

I have used a lot of aokp and cyanogenmod jb ROMs since jellybeans was ported to our device and I can tell you that you can rely on cyanogenmod based ROMs than aokp that is if you care about performance .
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
İ used both of them but i could' t see any important difference. Aokp full working but i can still see some problems at cyan. Of course it will be corrected too. İ am using c-rom mix at the moment that is mix of cyanogen and aokp

AOSP jellybean

so, i've been reading here and there that aosp works much much quicker than cm10 on quite few devices, and just wondering if someone would be able to build it for tass?

It's AOKP not AOSP. AOSP is like galaxy nexus stock rom.
Some say that is harder to compile... (?) but I wish we had one too...

AOSP is like stock. No options like battery percentage or lockscreen upside down and etc.

AOKP-Android Open Kang Project,
CM-CyanogenMod,
MIUI-MIUI are all custom modified roms(irony is they're calling them roms) , altered the way the user wants, each modified aaccording to respective owner and repositories.
AOSP-Android Open Source Project lead by Google inc. has android technology as its base.

Stock AOSP Android 2.3

Heyo,
I'm quite a fan of the stock Android experience and since there are some stock AOSP ROMs based on Android 4 I was wondering if there is any AOSP Gingerbread for my Ace, stably preferably.
you can find some stock cm7's but they are ugly as hell in my opinion (they are working pretty good tho).
If you could link me to one

Touchwiz 4.2.2?

Has anyone heard of any possible release dates? I like the extra features of 4.2.2 but just can't stick with aosp and p.a etc. I always end up back in touchwiz. Is anyone else the same?
