Use smartflash tool and reflash ROM
I got the solution for it.
I backup up all data to PC...
Formatted the SD Card
Recopied only data what i need in SD Card
Worked like charm...no need to flash ROM
I have the same problem before, it is caused by a file on sdcard card ".nomedia", delete the file, problem solved! (I still don't know what make this file, but the file is used to stop the phone scan media files on that folder)

thanks for the useful info
Some bug on rom manager made the file .nomedia if you update it will get erased. Also if you use airdroid secure connection, you'll lose your files until you reconnect to airdroid unsecure.

Funny. This happened to me like...ten minutes ago, after plugging the phone to the computer.
I also found that file on my SD Card root and deleted it (didn't even read this thread, but i didn't like its name, so I tried xD ).
The gallery and also music player weren't able to find any media files.
Fixed, now
Hi friends I'm using Sgt p1000 aokp #40 build everything is great when I connected my tab to PC both internal as well as external memories popped up and I got accessed both
But I recently done some procedure for identication of external memory through file manage it follows
''create emmc.sh on sdcard
open emmc.sh
copy thus command busybox mount -t vfat -o rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime,uid=1000,gid=1015,fmask=0702,dmask=0702,allow_utime=0020 /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /sdcard/emmc
to emmc .sh
save it
open script manager.. you can download on playstore
choose emmc.sh
klik boot,, then run it.,
done''
This worked fine now I can detect my external SD on phone through file managers but couldn't access my internal memory(inbuilt) memory when I connect to PC...plz help....

YOU ARE ON AOKP BUILD#40...ARE U KIDDING ME?????ALL THIS TIME I WAS THINKING THAT U WERE ON CM10.....emmc(external sdcard) works fine in AOKP build#40(it's already mounted)......(you can find it here....mnt/emmc)There is already a folder named emmc in the root of your directory and the external card is mounted to it......
Those busybox lines now mounted your ext sd card to (sdcard/emmc) and hence you can't get it mounted on to your pc

1.Open smanager and then click the menu button>>>>>>click on list option>>>>>>>(there u will find emmc script file)click on it>>>>>Disable boot and superuser by clicking on them>>>>>>and then save it>>>>>>reboot>>>>and it's done.....
To find your external card content>>>>>open root explorer>>>>>>go to emmc folder which is in the root of our sdcard....no need to open sdcard folder....
Done now I can access my both ads on PC but cannot find external SD contents in the emmc folder in root...using es file explorer.

guys, i just bought this phone n a 32 GB mmc
but i just found out we cant install to external SD
i try using adb shell set-install-location 2
but then i cant install anything it said "not enogh memory" so i had to return it back to 0
later i found out using shiaomi that this phone thinks its internal SD is both internal n external
cant we do anything about it?
btw my phone's bootloader is locked and it said it cannot be unlocked, does that mean i will not be able to root this phone for all eternity?
Please post your questions in the Q&A thread in future...
Thread moved.
They are working on a way to root for locked bootloader. You can send pics movies music etc to SD card. but not apps or data......I only found this out after buying the phone.
If they find way to root for locked bootloader then you might be able to use link 2sd and create partition, which you can then send the apps to the the SD card and create links so it looks like they are on internal memory

In the phone settings, there is a handy menu that says "Transfer data to SD card". It automatically cleans your media files from internal memory and moves them to external SD card. At least this should free some space for your apps.

Don't know about the mod with the link above mate.
Try with doomlord's method. Don't think you could get problems. Otherwise post on root's thread and ask if it's possible

The combination of two programs (link2sd & foldermount) that u have mentioned are worked but i have 2 problems
1.link2sd does'nt move all apps and some of them take error
2.foldermount just pair apps and increase internal storage from ( setting/storage) and this section is good but my problem is this :
in the root explorer i check my free memory and see the data folder in both of source. like this : sdcard0/android/data/com.rockstar.gta3 & sdcard1/android/data/com.rockstar.gta3
this means in 2 storage (int & ext) contains data folders!
what can i do?
To use link2sd you need to make partition on ext card and set it to primary i used free easeus partition tool to make partition you won't lose data. You need to use pc and sd card connected to pc without phone.
I have 32gig card and made a 4gig partition.then you can send apps to ext card by creating a link
Foldermount you need to create a folder on ext card eg game data then create separate folder for each game/app you want to move.
open foldermount app then give the app you are moving a name, select folder you are copying then select where you want to move data to ie the folder you created on ext SD card then select go
When files have been m moved you need to press the pin and make sure it goes green.
this app will pair the folder and files and trick phone into seeing file on internal memory but are really in SD card, it may seem that it has copied it twice, it has not.
I have asphalt 7, real racing 3 NFS most wanted,NFS shift plus others that all have extra data between 200mb-600mb installed when these are on internal I only had 1-1.5 gig spare and constantly being told to move data as system apps where not running.
By using these apps I have over 4.5gig spare.
think of these apps like making shortcuts on pc desktop that's all they do is move data by creating link to internal and ext card.
If you are having issues with apps they both have xda threads where the devs are active in answering questions
I can't give any more info sorry these worked for me and found them very easy to use and set up that why I mentioned them if they are not working maybe try the swap internal/external trick which is posted in Sp thread

This is normal
Android always seek first mounted storage memory, in this case, sdcard0 for store any files first
After that, you can move it to another directory
You can do nothing for this behaviour, except you change OS system behaviour itself

Browse through ES File explorer, or any other explorer. You may have a 0 folder which is sitting in /data/0 maybe..
after upgrading I found I had this odd 12 gig file sitting on the root of my sdcard. i deleted it and everything's running fine
No data/0 folder, is there an app that can tell me what the folder is?

Personally all data are used by CWM when you do a backup.
For see and download it, I used Rom Manager.

It has to do with how 4.3 and 4.2.2 Roms use the sd card vs 4.1.2. If you manually upgraded to 4.3, the symlinks to your sd card were not created, so you are not seeing music, etc.
I'm on a train right now, so can't point you to the correct threads that talk about this, but search for android 4.2.2 and sd card, emulated, legacy, /data/0 .

how about you check /data/media
history:
4.1.2: sdcard = /data/media
4.2.2+: sdcard = /data/media/0
but nandroids usually are still in /data/media/clockworkmod or /data/media/TWRP
you need a root-enabled browser to view files&folders in /data/media
SD card data is empty, media folder is empty. I am rooted not sure what u mean by root enabled browser but I enabled hidden folders in astro and root browser and deleted bunch of stuff from the cache folder but there's still a lot in there that I cannot delete. After all the new deletes my 'other' is still at over 12GB. It was at 18GB till I erased my clockworkmod backup but this only came about after doing a backup before flashing a rom.
If I had any hair I'd b pulling it out about now

get ES File Explorer (free app), then enable Root Explorer (screenshot attached)
Got it and its enabled but under sdcard/data is empty
Sdcard/ media is empty except for 1 ringtone
Sdcard/clockworkmod has an empty backup folder and a download folder
I don't seem to have a structure that goes
SD/data/media/0
In the data folder there is nothing
I do see a sd/0 which has a bunch of folders which looks same as under sdcard. I've looked in the sd/0/data=nothing
