Okay im new to the scene, had my nexus since Febuary after i broke my iphone. i want to join the rooted life but i dont know which is the better one for me since theres like over 4 diffrent roms *kanye shrug*
but ive been reading about kitchens, from my understanding its a program that let you pick what you want flashed, i want to find out which rom allows me to install things i really want.
heres a simple list
htc keyboard, htc peep (i believe thats impossible still want it though lol), anything that can make the trackball change color, a volume boost if it exists, the desire camera app, and a BETTER GALLERY APP if it exists, the one thats stock is pure a$$ it makes pics look like trash (main reason it failed that iphone vs n1 screen test)
thanks in advance

Hello everyone I have greatly enjoyed the work all of the dev's have put into the captivate and for starters thank all of you so much. I have upgraded to the infuse 4g and have made my captivate my new MP3 player and am currently running cognition 5 beta 2. I have no ability to program for android, (or anything else for that matter) however I have several ideas for a rom I would love to have. The main focus of it is for battery life/music. Several of the features I feel would be great in any rom but I am looking to make one focused on making it a super MP3 player.
If there are any dev's that are interested in making this rom (I will help however I can) please let me know and I would love to talk with you.
Here is something similar to what you are asking for

Is there any way to get it? (the one found on cyanogen, tmobile's I guess)
we could really use some epic themes having it..
not without some genius porting CM onto our device, no.
Far beyond me i'm afraid, and sadly it seems that the main guys who would be able to do this are simply not interested in this fantastic bit of kit.
Unless someone manages to create an AOSP kernel for the XL, which would allow someone to port CM, we're gonna be out of luck.
Heya, I'm a bit new and have a few questions.
I am curious if anyone knows/has any custom ROMs compatible with my device. Unfortunately it doesn't look like Renovate ICE is compatible with my model, and I am struggling to find if there are any others that might be useful.
My main motivation is to get rid of the annoying 80% battery issue with SamPWND (unfixable as of late) and to hopefully get rid of the "safe volume level" warning you get after rebooting and using headphones. If anyone has any methods to get rid of this warning, they would be much appreciated. (Yes, I have tried the Xposed module NoSafeVolumeWarning and it doesn't seem to be doing the trick...)
Other than that, I think I have found most answers to my questions! I am enjoying my Samsung, but if anyone can help me out, I would very appreciate it!
I'm in the same boat, although I also want not to have the AT&T branding.
Lol. SamPWND uses an engineering kernel that doesn't verify the system partition. The kernel is also what's capping the battery at 80%, a ROM won't fix this and there won't be a wide variety of ROMs because we can't use a custom kernel.
