Alright, so I let my friend play with my phone and he logs in his facebook on my phone via the FB app. I keep getting notifications from him and me now and it's REALLY annoying. I keep getting ALL his notificiations on my phone I cleared my cache, tried uninstalling FB, and everything. idk what to do.
As crazy as it may sound if u havent pulled the battery i would give that a go. Also it may have "synced" your account with his. I think in the options sumwhere it gives you a choice to disable the sync with contacts. Not sure but a thought.
I have kind of the same issue. I personally user FB, but for some reason I keep getting notification and email. I even went into my FB account and removed everything for notification, but they still keep coming.
Clear the data/cache for the Facebook app

Have you tried settings> accounts and sync?

Wow. I really hope by "everything" you mean you already tried logging out out in the FB settings in the app.
I would log onto his account and "come out" then just log out.

Seriously?
Accounts and Sync, click the FB account - REMOVE. / FB app main screen, menu button - LOGOUT.
Not working?
Try clearing cache and data of the FB app.
Open FB app and go to the main screen - menu, settings, get rid of all notifications.
No offense, but I sincerely hope you're new to android.

Im going to try a WIPE.. I NEVER had this problem until the NEW FB with chat was released. My friends would use my FB app all the time. maybe it's the new push notifications..
uninstal fb with titanium backup and then reboot
Ended up doing a FULL WIPE. Fixed the issue.
I've tried looking this up and have found no answer so i'm going to post it up on here to see if anyone can help me out.
Just like everyone else was having problems with the latest ATnT update messing up their phone so did I it caused my phone to get stuck in a boot loop and i couldnt find a way to getting out of it so i re-locked the bootloader and ran the RUU on it to return it to the stock kernel and rom.
After doing this i rooted the phone once again and switched back to the custom roms and the same kernel i had before, as soon as i did the update showed up again and i postponed it and went into titanium back up and deleted "com.smithmicro.dm" from there and that stopped the update.(i had seen it in a forum or how to get rid of the update) but now im not receiving notifications from facebook, twitter, or gmail. i have to go into the app myself and refresh it. somehow the Accounts and sync in the settings arent working for me. In the status bar it says its syncing and its shows the circle form by two arrows but it stays on there and never goes away. ive rebooted the phone many times, tunred the sync on and off, and even made sure in every app that the notifications are on.
Does anyone know what might be wrong?
Theres still no syncing going on, its like the push notifications are just not working on my phone at all.
Ive even switched roms a couple of times and i dont get anything from either facebook or twitter.
i think the gmail work periodicly.
Could it be an issues with the kernel?
Something similar happened to me too with the Calendar sync just the other day. I had to go into Settings -> Apps -> All and go to Calendar Storage, force stop, clear data.
Try doing this for all the services that you sync (fb, twitter, gmail, etc). Stop them, clear the data, then reboot. Once your phone boots up, go into Settings -> Account & Sync and force a re-sync. Hopefully you'll be back up and running.
I actually got them to work again randomly, well actually I installed a new Rom again buy instead of restoring everything from titanium backup I just decided to do it myself and it worked.
I wonder if the sync backup was corrupted or something?

It's possible, but I'd still put my money on the sync data cache being bunkered up. Glad it's working for you again though!

i am getting notifications on my Gear and can tap them when they popup to see the message or whatever. all i have changed is i switched to Watch Styler and now i no longer have the "Notifications" favorite?
when i had it until just a few minutes ago i could tap it and see Gmail, FB, G+ etc... and view previous alerts.
i looked in Gear Manager and it is not listed anywhere to add it to favorites or anything and its just there.
any thoughts as to something i may have done and how to get it back?
thanks

reset without restore was only solution and now its back.
Anyone else resolve this? I prefer not to restart

Reset without restoring does the job.
Had the same issue.
Sadly had to reset. So anytime I change the icons in the settings will delete Notifications? I can't even access Notifications in the Gear Manager My Apps. Quite sad.

You should not have any problems with notifications tab now. I haven't since I reset.

I don't think it ever existed in gear manager?
Just one of those things that requires a reset to appear (usually because of permissions). Not uncommon for android
I had the same problem running Null 18 and GM 1.6. Resetting was the only way to fix. EVERYTIME you try to modify your favorites apps on GM Notifications icon will disappear again and again the only fix is resetting your Gear. I did it three times just to be sure

Me too.
Same here!

Same here. I even cleared the data for the contact storage and contacts thru the apps setting and it did not fix it.
Another me too. Doesn't happen every to be (I don't think...), but does happen.
Same here man! All ouuta nowhere!
I'm having the same issue. Not every time but I notice it when somebody calls me. Are any of you rooted on a debloated image? I figured that was the case for me since the one I'm using has stripped all Verizon and non essential apps out.

I am using the stock software. No root.
Same problem here, non-rooted. Tried clearing Contacts and Google+ (on advice of another forum), no luck. Still crashes every time I place or receive a call.

The force close started 2 weeks ago. I have the same apps installed no new ones. I wonder if google or Motorola updated something in the background or server side. Who knows...
Three days have past and no force close. I havent uninstalled anything or cleared contact cache. Anyone still experiencing the force close or did it go away?
Same here! Incredibly annoying.
I fixed mine by disabling Google+. Ever since I uninstalled it I haven't had any more force closes of contacts.

The problem with disabling is if you use Google Photos to backup photos, your stuck with the error because disabling Google+ removes Photos.
I love the lollipop stock messaging app, but it like lags when I click back... it takes like a good 10 seconds from time to time.. I have delete message on so I don't know what the issue is. anyone else experiencing this or is it just me..

Try going into the Application Manager and clearing it's cache. and If you don't mind losing your SMS, the data.
