Hi all,
Did someone find a flashlight app that uses our flash?
Would be great!

Hi, flashlight apps will only work with LED flashes due to the fact that they can remain on whereas a xenon flash can't stop on (it can only flash fire)

I was wondering if a clever dev could use the botom lights from the buttons as an alternative to a dedicated led. Since the led is only usefull with the screen locked & off, the botom button lights could serve the same purpose. The buttons themselves would not be working, only the lights.
Could this idea work?

You may try to use noLED application
Good idea, but no-one has program for it yet.

That's a kernel thing. It needs a kernel with bln (back light notification) support.

But it could be done... you're not saying no way
From what i understand this is a tricky one to develop. I will have to be patient :what:

I have used noLED but deleted it because. I don't like it.
Anyhow the idea that author suggests sounds great and very logic. I saw few apps that can turn off buttons backlight. So it can enabled via app

You should check the ButtonLed thread. Its an app that is based on the Tasker app and it's made for phones that don't have led lights but have soft led buttons. But it doesn't work with our devices, because of the kernel security / limitations. I have contacted the developer of the app and he said that our device is similar to some s2 models, where the button leds can't be on while the screen is off.
So as I said before, we need new kernel with bln option.

Hi,
I've got a new Sony Xperia SP, not rooted and auto brightness feature doesn't work. The screen brightness is the same no matter in what light condition the phone is. Any ideas...???
Thank you...

Hi guys,
Like in the title, nevertheless I disable NFC ,it continues to remain active. I've flashed the unofficial CyanogenMod with hardware customization. I actually tried to freeze it with titanium backup pro but checking battery stats it still drains battery. Here are the screenshots.
Thank you in advance.

If you are in cm, this is a common bug. Turn off NFC and reboot device.
Thanks but problem solved. I deleted completely the service NFC and now it doesn't compare even in settings. The stats are now okay as well

Hey xda,
Here I come again with a new mod i.e., Note 3 incoming call notification!
Its a very good feature in my opinion as we can continiue our work in case we don't wanna attend a call
Credits goes to: mythtrandyr
I've done this with help of his tutorial.
Just replace your "SecPhone.apk" in system/app with the one here n change permissions to rw-r--r--
like:
X X -
X - -
X - -
And yes! Dont forget to enable "incoming call notifications" in call settings.
Enjoy
thanks bt wrong section..

Works like a charm! Really usefull too i must say :good:
Kinda breaks my phone proximity sensor.
There is a slight delay in showing the call notification.
And after i receive the call or if i call somebody, the device screen turns on and off continuously every 2 seconds.
