Is this possible on the Z1?
I found a youtube video showing it being done on a different Android phone using a setting called "Lockscreen style" which isn't present on the Z1.
i don't thinks its possible in native rom but there is some apps for this.
In setting you could only choose img.

hey
hey thanks for that. i used this already and some worked and others didnt? and i tried the method of finding the names in the app manifest on the phone and adding _ instead of . and it still didnt work?
like browser. in my browser manifest it tells me the same name as the list you showed me but it doesnt have the browseractivity bit at the end? why is that bit added?
list of ones that didnt work from that list
automatic task killer
claculator
camera
clock
fm radio
fasterfix
miui music
my files
no lock
phone
quick boot
layer
root explorer
sgs tools
sim toolkit
superuser
task manager
video player
voice recorder
z4zoom
Just wondering if it's possible by editing files within the apk itself?
I know some live wallpapers have options to set them static or scrolling so thinking it might be possible?
I have the Windy Weather live wallpaper from Galaxy S3 and would like to set it not to scroll on my Nexus 7.
Is there a simple flag in one of the files that tells it whether or not to scroll or is it much more complicated than that?
Hello everyone,
I am new to modifying stock launchers.
(that means I HAVE NO EXPERIENCE with rom's / rooting / xposed framework, etc)
For the last few days I have been looking for a way to get a bigger grid size for my Stock Xperia Launcher.
I don't want to use a 3rd party launcher.
In the past I have modifying my Samsung phones (using 3rd party launchers like TSF Shell / Nova Launcher / Widgetlocker, UCCW, Missed it!, etc).
Now I have my Sony Xperia Z1 for 2 months. I used Nova Launcher + Widgetlocker. Then yesterday my WiFi didn't had internet access anymore. So I contacted Sony and I had to reset my phone.
So I start from a new fresh installation now. I was impressed with what Sony had done with Xperia Launcher within these 2 months, I decided I want to use this launcher (no 3rd party launchers)
So now I want to use my Stock Launcher and be able to get a bigger grid size and I want my dock to have 7 instead of 5 icons.
I did some research but I found it confusing so now I need help
On XDA forums I see people talking about using Xposed framework.
Can someone explain me step to step how to used this Xposed framework?
I saw the video that XDA developers made regarding Xposed framework. Which is very clear to me
But how do you implant modules? Where you find these modules?
I just need a bigger Grid size and I want a 7 icon dock, and that is it. My phone I use in Portrait mode mostly, only when Facebooking / Surfing internet / Watching movies I will use Landscape mode.
Can anyone help me out?
Xperia Z1 specs:
Model Number: C6903
Android Version: 4.4.2
Build Number: 14.3.A.0.757

Thanks for the reply.
I will try it later on today when I reach home, I am at work now.
1 More question:
When I try this out, will my live Xperia wallpaper still work, in both Lock Screen + Home Screen?
( I am using the live wallpaper that comes standard with the stock Xperia, named Xperia. I use this wallpaper in both Lock Screen + Home Screen )
That is the one with the waves that changes color after lots of side scrolling )

Yes the live wallpaper still works on lock and home screen.
work and the gem module
its what I use for a 7 icon dock and a 5x4 homescreen and 5x5 drawer
Using Alliance v8 on a g900a. Upgraded to 5.0 using muniz 's method.
After the install everything has run great for several months... Until today.
I was messing around with my theme and somehow got my wallpaper stuck.
I've tried changing the wallpaper directly from the homescreen, from the android settings menu, and the alliance control app settings, but nothing I do has any effect. I am however able to change my lockscreen and sview wallpaper with no problem.
I hate this stock wallpaper and I put a lot of time and effort onto theming my phone so this is driving me crazy. Any ideas?
include screeners of my settings menu, and of the alliance control screen if that helps:
1st pic - the horrible wallpaper I hate
2nd - the wallpaper I want trying to be set through settings
3rd- my alliance control settings page incase I have something set wrong here
*edit - btw, i have made sure to restart phone between changes just to make sure. Didn't help
Hi,
my first post here on XDA forums, so a big hello to you all. I want to create my own music player widget with Kustom Widgets and also wanna add some toggles for
quicksettings etc. As for the quicksettings, i used the notification toggle app, which worked great when installed as a system app, but i wanna control them only from one app, KWGT.
I know there is some issue with direct accessing these toggles from widgets, but thats all i know since i dont even know how these toggle- and media control functions are named.
So i cant even search to get detailed informations. Now when i try to control my music player from KWGT, nothing happens - except when i previously started the music player and press
play and pause one time. After that i can control it with my self made buttons from KWGT. As for the quicksetting toggles, none is working. KWGT is installed as a system app and also has
permission to access player functions and toggles.
So my questions are: How are these controls named excactly and are there any general solutions? Is this issue because of Sony's UI restriction? Just for the record, im using a rooted Z1
locked bootloader with DStrikers Rom 5.1.1.
Thanks in advance!
