there is no best or worse custom rom. every rom and kernel is made differently to serve another purpose. think of what u like and what are ur needs and check the roms in youtube or at the official presentation site of every developer ! links and infos at rom section !

Like kessaras said there is not "the best rom". Try it out for yourself. And such threads are against XDA rules as you should know -> reported.

There is no best ROM/Kernel, what's "best" for someone else may not be "best" for you. Try them all and see which best suits you.

this kind of posts are forbidden on xda... there is no such thing as a "stablest" or "best" rom...
it's up to you to try several roms and see which one is best for your needs...

it's the same thing because some roms may work good and stable on my phone, but they could suck and be laggy on yours...
why?
we don't use the same settings, we don't have the same applications installed, we don't have the same launcher etc...
No such thing. You may try to take a look on other threads pertaining to questions like this. Optimus 2x is unbrickable. Use that as an advantage by flashing and testing. not asking.

If u read the topic, u won't say this.
I don't have time to try many roms.. couse' it's not my phone. The stabiliti is not personally thing.. like if the keybord crashed in sms (like Avatar rom) I wouldn't say it's a stable rom..
stubborn as hell...
Like someone said, try Paranoid Android it's my favorite and what is important to you, it's stable.

stable stock ROM

hi guys just dropping by here, i am from samsung forum and i want to ask here what is the latest and most stable stock ROM for X8? plz be patient just new here at x8
By the way there's no stable and fast ROM because every rom has it's own pros and cons. And it's own character so try yourself rom like ginger dx,zencefil, and rom in my signature
andthere's Many rom also out there so do some searching and testing to get a nice rom

Plus, you can try.. Like me.. I have try many roms for stock kernel in my x8.. Choose rom what fits with you.. You can't determine the rom's performance just by one look.. As the above bro said.. You must try at first and consider what rom is fits with your needs.. What features do you need for your phone? That's it.. X8 is a low performance phone and we all know it so we can't suggest that.. Choose yourself
There are two stock roms, donut(1.6) and eclair(2.1), you can imagine how good they are...

Guys, please, dont panic and freak out with best rom threads. He said clearly he want our opinion for roms! There are plenty of them in Android & original development topics there. He just need help to choose the best one FOR HIM.I think devs dont fight each other for best rom like Ohhh mine is better or Mine is faster......We are all here for helping. And of course some roms are more stable more smooth more battery friendly from others! We wont fight for best rom!Its obviously cm9 based roms are faster from cm10.1...Its not my opinion its the TRUTH!
To answer your question,i suggest you aosp ics by paul L. with no bugs, with alins badass kernel. Its a great combination.Cheers

[Q] Really getting lost with choosing a ROM

Hello,
I am really having trouble choosing a ROM.
There are so many..
I currently have TsunamiX 5.2.
Which is the newest with a very good battery life, less lags and bugs, Rom's out there?
Gaming and "high" performance are not important for me.
Thank you

Yes, I tried it, its based on CM11 if im not wrong. But as I said before, Im on Macay ICS CM9 since more than a month now, this means I found this Rom very very useful. Before I flashed every 2-3 days, sometimes even twice a day, I tried many many Roms but this is just Great. Smooth, Stable, Bugless, with longest batery life comparing with Roms before. You can give a try, and you'll see. Hope to like it (if you decide to try it)
Good luck.

Exactly.. It's not like I opned a thread in which I asked "What is the best rom out there?".
Roms come in many shapes and specifications..
Nothing wrong in getting advices from more expirienced users
BTW, It is kinda anti-Intuitive to go back to ICS.. Any missing features from JB or Kitkat? Or does it feel the same?

So there is no need for this forum I guess.. huh?
Can't I get an advice? Why should I try 100 different roms if someone can direct me? I would never thought on going back to ICS or trying this rom that Milot suggested.
Seriously, mind your own buisness please..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542131 <- ts1506's CyanASOP KK, ****ing smooth with kasperh's latest Mackaykernel and additional greenify! My phone is running like weeks without crashes or without reboots to get the standart speed. With normal usage it will keep about 2 days up!
I see you can read.
Whatever man.
Forget it.

Some things are missing, but for example "doubletap to sleep" you can use an xposed module for that and works great, Center clock and battery styles, and many other tweaks you can use Xblast tools (xposed module). The only thing I cant find was "Clear all button" on recent app list, but you can swipe one by one...
Im really satisfied with this Rom, based on features of Galaxy S i9000, (for me at least) this was best so far.

Mod Edit
Whichever way you word it...
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

There is no such thing called "best ROM" since it's users preference upon uses.
