Sorry if this has been asked and answered already, I can't find an answer. I am new to the Sprint HTC ONE. I cannot get led notifications to work! The light is orange when charging, turns green when charged fully, but it will not notify me for missed alerts. I have notification led turned on in Settings>Display and Gestures. I read to try Light Flow, but still same result! I am on 4.3, is this a common problem for everyone or should I swap for new one?
Thanks guys

Thanks, but if you re-read my original post I've already enabled it in settings as per your screenshot... I'm not new to HTC or Android, just the ONE! I'm trying not to root this baby yet. So I'm just gonna try a factory reset and if that don't work I'll swap it being I'm well within my 15 days at Best Buy. Thanks for trying to help me out though tonyrance, I appreciate it!
Np, & hope u get it wrked out. Wasn't implying anything

Got it working! Check this out, this is crazy...Did a master factory reset and when going through setup, if I restore my settings from Google servers, something is borking it! If I do a master factory reset and then skip through everything not setting up any accounts, it works! Something is borking it when restoring all my google stuff! Very strange! I just won't choose to restore when I do log into google account and hopefully all is good.
Good to know 4 future referrence. Thanks & glad ur good:

This doesn't belong here but I'll ask anyway.
Is there a way to turn off the capacitive buttons (back and home)? I'm talking about the back light, not the function..
Having same issue here and think it does have something to do with restoring phone. Stupid HTC. First and last one I buy ! Until the next model

Well, last night my NS4 was bricked... Running Rasbean + trinity 109 I was performing an antutu benchmark and the device just powered off. Could not get it back on and only shows the red led. Tried everything that was available on the net (fastboot, flash stock images, 312321 button combinations etc.). I'm going to set up an RMA and already spoke to a Google rep. Since I ordered through a friend in the UK the RMA must ship there. Won't be a problem. Time to relock the bootloader and send that brick away
Congrats.
Btw. most people fixed it with just leaving it charging for a while and then rebooting.

yeah I know. Had it in the charger the whole night with no succes. Now it's charging after I flashed the stock images etc. Maybe when I wake up tommorow we have better news, but I doubt it!

Damn, thats a shame.
Wasn't a solution available a few weeks ago, when someone posted a video of releasing the battery a bit and the red light disappeared and the phone started working again.
U can try to open the phone up and disconnect the battery then reconnect it. This is how some people got theirs to work again.

How were you able to flash the stock images? Was fastboot working and I just misunderstood your original post? Thanks!

Was trying to do that, but the back is more difficult to open as stated in a few posts. Trust me, I went to a music store to get guitar picks and the special screwdrivers I'm just not taking a rist damaging the phone trying to yank of the back (although I was trying the whole day!)

Fastboot was working. I had to hold down volume - and put in my usb cable.
I've read about this in blurts here and there.. What exactly sets off this "red light of death" ?

If the bootloader is operational, can it really be considered a brick?

Was trying to, but I reconsidered after reading some more. There are not many users risking to open the back. And one guy did it, and fixed his problem, but it came back after a week or so.

If it won't boot after trying almost everything I guess so! I can only flash things with fastboot. Booting won't work..
if fastboot works, it should be fine... system/data/boot/recovery are all flashable. fastboot boot recovery.img and reflash rasbean? after you flash stock images it just hangs at the google screen? i doubt it's bricked

This exact same thing happened to me. I was on CodefireX with franco.Kernel and I was running an Antutu benchmark and it just powered off to a red blinking LED.
I too tried everything but I couldn't get it into recovery or fastboot.
I ended up just sending it back to T-Mobile (one year warranty) without locking the bootloader again for a replacement.
I'll never run a benchmark again.

There is clips u have to pry open after u take the screws out. I've taken mine off its actually not that hard if u know where the clips are located.

I know, the problem is that I just can't get between the layers. I use a very "sharp" guitar pick. I managed to get one side half loose (at sim side) but I just can't open the other side..
This maybe a silly question.
But my lights for back and home only come on certain tines. Are they not meant to be on all the time?
I can't even replicate what I did to make them turn on.

Genius. I was in a well lit room and I was getting hit and miss regarding that. But as long as my lights are not malfunctioning all is well.

Title says it. It always worked no sweat on 4.2. Now whenever I have the headphone jack plugged in it doesn't register any voice commands or input at all. Kind of annoying if you use your phone while driving to listen to music. So my question is has anyone else noticed or can test theirs for me? Am I missing a toggle in the menus somewhere? It's really frustrating me.
- Nate
Saw this yesterday...Very frustrating as you said...This used to work in 4.2 right?
Yeah it definitely worked in the previous version.

Go in moto forums and tell them. That will be the fastest way to get fixed

Just a little update today....it started working again. Sort of. I basically have to yell at my phone to get it to recognize ok Google now. So it does work, but not at all like it did.

Strange, mines works as normal. Had a text conversation today with my buddy while dodging shi**y traffic and Lady Gaga blaring (don't ask) and it didn't miss a word.

I can't open that link (despite being registered with Moto too). Were you ever able to get it to work normally again?
I have the same problem on my new Moto X and haven't found a solution anywhere.
Anyone else have a problem with their active display "breathing"?
Not me. Neither before or after the kit Kat update

Well I'm not sure if it's an actual issue or normal but from my understanding the phone is supposed to breather when left idle right? By that I mean flash the time

I think it only does that for some notifications. otherwise it will only flash the time when you pick it up or move it.

Oh ok jus making sure thought it was supposed to do that regardless of notifications or not
By "breathing" do you mean the screen fading in and out constantly when there are notifications pending?
Posted about it here to see if it was normal or not, because I don't remember it from the first two days I had the phone, but noticed it this morning.

Yep that what the breathing is exactly. It supposed to reduce the need to unlock the phone to check for social media/email updates.

I have had the same problem, but it doesn't happen every time. I have assumed it is an issue with the proximity sensor, but I'm not sure.

The only option I can think for you is to do a factory reset.
There's an option within S-Voice that does that, might be what you're looking for.
Open up S-Voice and hit menu > settings > auto enable speakerphone
Just a guess.

There's a glitch with the chrome browser that causes that to happen. If you use Chrome you need to get the latest update and see if it clears up.
