[Q] Sprint HTC ONE 4.3 Recovery - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Does anyone have the stock recovery image that came with the 4.3 update?

Here you go http://d-h.st/9jn

What does this help with.. ? Is it better to have this over TWRP / CWM?

TWRP/CWM is for flashing roms, doing backups, etc. The stock recovery is mainly flashed before returning for a replacement or repairs.

You can install the same rom again using pc odin.
I did that but didn't seem to workout

Got cwm recovery?
Didnt make a backup?
If you havent got cwm, flash a cwm recovery image (with a new kernel... Dunno what system files u removed so...) using odin or heimdall.
Next: flash the rom of your likings after a full wipe.
After all that: BACKUP (using cwm).
Goodluck.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
You dont need odin.find a safe kernel like philz or abyss then download the stock rom and follow the steps for flashing it(i dont know whether requires wipe or not!)

Ota update is not available for modified roms.i think he is talking about that

hes not using a custom rom. he just rooted a stock rom and deleted some apps. This will not cause an issue with OTA unless he deleted the software updater

[ROM] Android 4.2.2 | JDQ39 | Stock | Unrooted

This is just a flashable stock unrooted ROM for anyone wanting a copy to flash via CWM as opposed to fastboot. It was literally the JDQ39 system image dumped into the dsixda kitchen and thrown straight back out with NO changes whatsoever - it's not even deodexed! Useful if you need to use an app which can still detect root even after using a root-hider app (e.g. to watch Sky Go in the UK)
It is the 100% untouched, unmolested system image
Enjoy...

Far as I know, OTA is dependent on the recovery. So you would still need stock recovery to pull the OTA.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken. I came from an HTC monstrosity, and we all know how easy those are to modify.

So is this the latest stock JDQ39E?

Thanks for this really! I ended up pushing root after installing, it was a must
I went unrooted first and forgot TB wouldn't work. Kinda feels good to be on stock, nothing like regular N4  thanks again!

Hmm. Though we would get "Failed" upon an ota via s3 I remember regardless of recovery it would indeed update as well as patch recovery. But I'm not saying this is the case on nexus devices as this indeed is my first.

Hey swirly ..as you approach a possible flash coming from this flash able stock zip would you mind posting any positive results if any with your performance and battery? I have heard and at times on other devices found at times this does improve somewhat by the partitions being reset or to those lines etc. Thank you.

You didn't keep a stock from first flash?. I always do. Good ole flashback unroot then delete twrp (depending if really needed as s3 wasn't) then protect root with root keeper then unroot take ota then load saved root. If this doesn't work on nexus 4 I'd love to know but worked on RAZR rezound and s3..if not I'll report in a created thread via next update. My reason is I like having that true first stock backup. Good for fresh installs of custom when reverting first. IMO lol

Just a quick question. If you flash this and then flash stock recovery, can you basically unroot by doing that? It'll be much easier (at least in my opinion) of you could just flash the rom to unroot and go back to pure stock
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Well the truth is that if you have cwm 6+ the OTA installs with no problem and if you are root, it keeps it too! Just for your information the OTA needs system ,bootloader, radio, boot.img unmodified.
TBH I made this to help people too lazy to flash the stock factory image from Google. I'd always recommend the factory image personally
Gapps requirement
Is gapps required after flashing the ROM?

No rom, no rom in recovery to flash, no backup

Pretty much just that. Not sure what to do. Flashed trickdroid 5.3 and like the ****ty luck I always have with any phone, data stopped transferring to the phone via usb. I could take it off, but when I tried to put **** on it said "Phone has either been disconnected or isn't available" or something like that. Got ARHD 8.0 on my phone via adb push, thought **** was good so I formatted the **** out of my phone, go to flash it and it's a "bad" rom. Lmao ok. ****. Any tips?
You curse a lot. If you can access recovery mode. Download a flash able Stock ROM and install it through recovery.

Dear all;
Today i finally decided to unlock the bootloader and s-off the device..but after these..my wifi was not working ...and still stucked at the turning on wifi phase.
Factory reset wiping cache did not help
I found out that i should flash a newnstock rom...but to be honest i did not find the stock 4.3 for the european device (ruu).. i found some zips but the recovery stopped at verifying package when i said install from phone...so to be honest i have no clue how to proceed
How to flash it what to do? The guides are not always complete or the links were not working... i need help i will post the info on my device..
Would you be so kind and tell me what to do?
In details of course)

Umh, download from mike's thread the stock rom and flash this.
Or flash only the boot.img from fastboot.
Seems a kernel "issue"

Please be beginner friendly thanks for your help in advance.

Umh, download the stock rom from mike's thread.
Now, do a nandroid backup from recovery and after flash the rom.
I think there isn't any stock rom for your version main, so the easiest solution is this
However, you've tried to erase the cache from fastboot with the command: fastboot erase cache
??
Sent from One with Tapa4
Well i tried the wipe cache/ factory reset etc etc..
In the morning (cause its 2:23 am) i will try the nandbackup(although i have no clue about that) and then a 4.3 stock flash would be reasonable or not?
Thanks

Defo kernel issue.
- Get odexed from here
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.no/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html?m=1
Or whatever you desire
- Put the downloaded Rom on to your SD.
- Enter cwm/twrp recovery and do a nand (=backup of current ROM)
- install zip of new stock Rom.
Reboot when done.
Either this or just flash bulletproof kernel from flar. see if it gets sorted.

Well I installed TWRP, did a backup, with the default selection, after that I booted, and copied the files.,
Then I copied the odexed file to the device, booted into recovery, and installed it.
Now Wifi Works , and everything is on the "latest" release and still stock.
My question is:
What ROM-s can I try out? Only Odexed? Or Google Editions as well (from the link you provided) and if yes...
I just make a backup from the current setup, and copy it, and then recovery from the backup am I right?
But mainly my problem has been solved... So thank you very much !
Odexed or deodexed, whatever rocks your socks.. if you are gonna do some themeing of icons you need deodexed.
You are S-off and are free to flash loads of stuff.
Google edition? Sure test it out if you want to.
Sure, just back up current Rom and keep it safe on your phone if you can. Any problems occurs you can just restore it.
