chat on for Gear apk

hey guys just bought the SGG. so far was able to install gear manager on S4 stock international rom with the same errors.. notifications and weather not working.. no biggie.
the app I want is chat on for gear.. yet when I install from the app store it has an error.. due to the device being on 4.2.2
does any one have the ported apk from an install they have done of chat on??

Same here I can't download it with the gear manager, this is one of the main apks I would like to have.

Yes I really need this as well because when I got the Gear it had the ChatOn app installed (bought in US) but once I updated (live in Canada) it's gone. Really want it back. Anyone got it?

hello mate, where did you find the chaton gear apk?
i have my gear on an xperia z ultra but samsung app store is not working......

[Q] Problem with Samsung App store for Gear 1 with Tizen + Note 3

Has anyone experience problem with limited app choice in samsung app store?
I've recently submited app for samsung app store, and it seems like samsung is categorizing gear apps by phone + gear model.
Everything is ok, but some models (notably Note 3 + Gear 1 Tizen) are missing from the list, so I can't download my (GetUp! Alarm Clock) and any other new app from the store. I just have some basic apps + watch faces which really sucks
Expecially that Note 3 + Gear 1 is quite popular combo.
Anyone can confirm this? What can we do about that?

Yes, I can. Have a GT-i9502 (S4 Duos) and limited app choice.

Quick fix: I've masked my Duos as a normal S3 using Device Spoofer.
Over hand: Nerving Samsung. I cant see any sence of that. Its Bullsh...
BTW. Havent found you app. Maybe is also restricted to the country

That's strange.
I have selected all countries availiable so it shouldn't be the case.
It seems I can't be sure where and how my app is avaiable... And I don't have any way to verify it...
The only hint I have are two user comments, both written from S5 / gear 1 tizen.

I am running a nexus 5. I spoofed the Samsung s5. And am able to install the Samsung app store and browse apps. Sadley downloading/installing give me a fail. However the galaxy gear manager does not have a list for the Samsung apps market. Either the on android or tizen

Gear 2 apps on gear 1 (Tizen)

Hello, just wanted to share that I had a friend send me a gear2 app (.wgt) file that was not in the Samsung app store available for the gear1. I installed the app on my gear one via PC CMD - non rooted and the gear2 app works perfectly on my gear1, I have done this with 2 apps already! I don't understand why Samsung limits gear1 apps that will work just fine.. Is there a website where I can download more gear 2 apps (.wgt)? I searched online and found a few direct downloads to side load. Just looking for more... Thanks!

OK so I figured something else out now by researching this forum. I changed my build prop to a galaxy S5 now I see tons of apps!

How did you do it? I Have the gear 1 running Tizen apps, there are not many apps, please share how you got more apps, [email protected]. thanks

I installed [ROM][I9505][XXUGNG4] Samy Deluxe S5 Style Operation Ivy and all of a sudden got a ton of apps for the Galaxy Gear Tizen in the store.
Don't know what has changed, but there's loads of apps. So something in the phone tells the store what apps to show... Anyone have a real S5 with a Gear and loads of apps?
Btw, if you install that rom on an S4 you need to fiddle a bit to get S Health to sync. Not sure what I did, but it worked. Installed Fitness with Gear, removed goprovider.apk and updated Gear Manager again with Galaxy Apps and it worked... Anyway

What probably changed is your build prop. A common way of getting more apps is spoofing the model number of an s5.
So long as your rooted you won't need to flash anything.

I had the build prop changed before aswell, but I have more apps now then they show in their screenshots with this rom.

The screen shots in that thread are quite old now, lots more apps have been added since and they come in too fast to keep the screen shots updated.

Anyone kind enough to let me know what new apps are available on the fitness section? I had to downgrade to Android in order to use Runtastic on my gear 1 + Note 3 combo. Might consider rooting if it's now available on gear 1 Tizen..

I'm using the beanstalk ROM and can't find the apk for galaxy gear that works, all the ones I have tried have force closed.

Try a different rom. I get the latest gear app from the Galaxy Store. Do you have that installed?

I couldn't find the galaxy gear app from the store but I'm pretty set on sticking with this ROM, its pretty stable
