Don't worry your phone is ok. Even when I checked mine at imei websites it showed as iphone 4s. Unfortunately those sites seem to work only for iphones. Why do you even need to check your imei, if the phone works ok you should't worry. To check if your phone is fake or not try to unlock the bootloader

Looks like the esn was repaired on the phone.

Can u plz elaborate sir?

Your phone is real.. just stay calm and use it normally .

Cpuz is a great app for all info of your device. Also it's normal for it to show 99000******* on the box it shows the normal Dec but when we ring it up by the next screen it usually defaults to a 99000 number. Not always. It's strange.

Even i got a Sprint HTC One and am using it in Bangalore. 3G works for me. Have you tried changing the network mode by typing *#*#4636#*#*
Also, the symbol remains at GSM irrespective of whether it is connected to 2G or 3G.

[Q] Serious help needed regarding IMEI

Guys, I lost my Droid 3.
It was not connected to internet.
I don't have the phone with me so I cant punch in *#06# or remove the battery and see the IMEI number.
On the box, there is no IMEI number.
Called the service provider, said they dont have such information.
Is there anyway I can find the IMEI, like through serial number or msn, simid, MEID(HEX), prl, etc.?
I am literally stuck in a position where I don't know what to do at all!
Please help me guys.
Thanks a lot!
*#*#4636#*#* might tell you but you could try switching to GSM mode.
Sent from my DROID3 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for the reply buddy,
but as I told earlier, it is stolen, I do not have it in my hand!
I need to know if there is a way to convert meid to imei or any other way to find out the imei without the phone, perhaps on the box?
It might be on the box.
Sent from my DROID3 using xda app-developers app
Its not on the box!
It has meid, msn and bunch of other but not IMEI!
What to do?
Just to ask the question, why do you need specifically the IMEI? I'm not sure that I understand why the MEID is not good enough? CDMA phones are generally referred to by the MEID, are they not?
(To restate, the electronic serial number for a CDMA device is the MEID, not the IMEI.)
Yes buddy, cdma are refered to by meid.
But you see, I need my phone to be tracked and that is done using IMEI, which I don't know at the moment.
Can anyone tell me if the phone is in gsm mode, is the cdma mode still be active?
Meaning, along with gsm tracking using imei, cdma tracking using meid?
Are you a Verizon customer right now?
Nope, Im using it in India, GSM unlocked.
As far as I can tell, there is no way to derive the IMEI from the MEID, sad to say.
If your phone had a data connection, you could try installing Plan B in order to locate it from the Play Store on a PC browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lookout.labs.planb&hl=en
But, you say that it has no internet connection, so I think there's not much you can do...
I was thinking plan b as well, but phone needs data and a google account
---------- Post added at 11:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:59 AM ----------
but if some one connects it to internet, and doesn't wipe account, plan b may work
really think it's your only option
Yeah, even I read about Plan B, but I dont think its useful in my case, as I never used internet on it or set a google account!
I guess I should forget about it!
Thanks anyways guys,
Really appreciate your help.
sorry, next time write the imei down, and keep in safe place
Guys, I dont know if I could post link or not,
but I found a website where one could paste a serial number and the website tell you the imei!
But unfortunately, its for apple and samsung only.
Anyone knows anything similar to motorola?

Although I don't know...this is touchy subject as many claim its illegal which would make it against forum rules...I have yet to find any law that actually prohibits it though...however I have read that if two phones have the same imei sometimes att blocks both...so be careful
Any ways, just a heads up...btw did you buy it used? If you did then the guy you bought it from probably stole it...and the original owner reported it stolen - leading to att blocking the imei

[Q] Will an unlocked Rogers HTC One work on Telus? Possible legal issues

Hey guys,
First of all, I'm a noob and I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, but I have searched the forums for about 2 hours now and couldn't find the answer I'm looking for.
So I purchased a used HTC One (locked to Rogers) from someone recently. I then had it unlocked through an ebay seller. My plan is with Koodo and the phone worked perfectly fine - texts, calls and mobile data. After using it for about 2 weeks I decided I wanted a less clunkier phone so I traded it with someone for an iPhone.
It's been about 4 days and I just got an email from the guy I traded with, who is angry and threatening to file a police report on me. He says the HTC One I traded him can't get mobile data or receive MMS. He said he contacted both Telus and HTC customer support, where Telus told him the phone wasn't fully unlocked? Also HTC told him that the phone is the wrong bandwidth since it was from Rogers.
What I can't understand is how it's not working on Telus when it worked fine on Koodo, which uses the same network. Can anyone shed some light on something I may be missing here, or offer any advice?
Cheers!
When you say unlocked, do you mean sim unlocked or bootloader unlocked? And um why would you trade an HTC one for an iPhone?

if he can make calls and send sms but no mobile data/mms, pretty sure its related to apn settings. I don't understand why telus said its not fully unlocked... I'm pretty sure you can't just unlock the call/sms function with still having data locked lol.

HTC Desire 626s sprint SIMLock removal

Hello,
I need a help very badly on my new device that i purchased which is HTC desire 626s and is locked to Sprint. I thought i could buy unlock codes online and get it unlocked. But when i inserted different cellular SIM card, the device did not ask for unlock code and rather threw a message "4G LTE/GSM will not work as SIMLock is enabled. Please contact Customer Service to unlock". Can anyone please please help me here to have this SIMLock unlocked and make the device able to work with any other cellular provider, I know i can reach Sprint to get it unlocked but i just purchased it and i am sureSprint will not do it for newly purchased devices unless its used for 6 months. If anything to be done via device booting or anything please provide me a step by step procedure as i am not a tech geek. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
Hi Pavi4, i searched all the web and the only way to GSM unlock my HTC Desire 626s from Sprint was buying this service. It is supposed to cost 25 or something but i sent a message to the seller and he accepted 20
I hope it works for You too!!

It's safe bro, at least in my experience the unlock was done in one hour. The guy told me that ussualy takes 20-30 minutes but I have a 64 BITS Windows 7 computer and it has a problem with drivers so it took us more time to figure out where the problem was, maybe you can send a message to the seller and ask your questiones. Maybe something has changed since I bought the service. Everything was through ebay so i felt secure about my money
