Hi
I recently went from ParanoidAndroid to Android Revolution (Full Wipe). After I restored my apps+data (no system data), every single app that I launch force closes "Unfortunately, [app] has stopped".
Clearing the appdata for a particular app causes it to launch but it is essential I have the data.
I tried this solution, however it doesn't work.
I have done a factory restore/wipe, cache wipe, Fix Permissions....no change. Also tried Fix Permissions from ROM Manager.
Does anyone have an idea please!?
[SOLVED]
Managed to fix this myself.
Open titanium backup -> then press "menu" -> preferemces/settings -> backup folder -> search (full device) -> select the folder which has in path /legacy/

I made a backup of all my apps and system data from my previous Bionic and copied the TitaniumBackup folder with all the files over to my new bionic's internal SD. How do I go about restoring the apps and system data?
When I go to menu > batch, under "verify backups", it says there are 291. However when I go to "restore all apps with data", there are only 244. If I press run, it doesn't show any of my old apps. Just the current ones.
At the very bottom under "delete backups", it says there are 47 uninstalled apps I can delete. Those are the 47 apps I want to restore but I don't see them under the restore options. What do I need to do?
Well I was hoping to be able to restore the apps and data from the backups I created but apparently it only allowed me to restore the data after I reinstalled the apps one by one from the market.
Hit menu, and then Batch.
Then scroll down and select the one about restoring all apps and data. then when it shows you a list of everything, check deselect all.
Then scroll through the list and select only the ones you want to do the restore with data. Works great.
ps don't ever restore your system settings. you can restore wifi access points and BT pairings but other settings can cause annoying issues.
Have fun!
Hi
I recently went from AOKP build 37 to AOKP milestone 6 (Full Wipe). After I restored my apps+data (no system data), every single app that I launch force closes "Unfortunately, [app] has stopped".
Clearing the appdata for a particular app causes it to launch but I want my appdata.
I tried http://www.titaniumtrack.com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-troubleshooting.html#system-app-FC-when-launch-restored-system-data even though it does not apply 100% without any success
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719681 seemed promising but no success either
I have done a factory restore/wipe, cache wipe, Fix Permissions....no change. Also tried Fix Permissions from ROM Manager.
I am posting the logcat of me restoring a few apps, opening the said apps to verify the crash, clearing the appdata for these apps then relaunching to verify they start. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B04bMP_xTzMnRzNBTndMZEc2amc/edit?pli=1
Does anyone have an idea?
Sounds like there are some compatibility issues, and you may have to live without restoring the data for the app.

Hello people!
I need some help restoring my SMS chat with all my friends. I came from the stock LG rom (bought the phone in Denmark, so it's probably some danish/nordic version).
I backed up all my system files + apps using Titanium Backup pro, which included something like "Phone/Messaging Storage (version 4.0.4-eng.tonyp.20120904.052245(SMS/MMS/APN)". After doing so I flashed ParanoidAndroid Build 11 + Hybrid Gapps v2, by first doing factory reset, cache/dalvik cache wipe & battery stats.
I rebooted the phone twice & installed Titanium Backup pro, then went into "Backup/Restore" went down to "Phone/Messaging Storage (version 4.0.4-eng.tonyp.20120904.052245(SMS/MMS/APN)" pressed it and chose restore. It asked what I would like to restore, but I could only choose 'only data'. When that was done, it told me to restart so I did. However, after doing the restart, I keep getting this message:
"Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped."
The error window started appearing when I went into the SMS app thing, and is still showing even after shutting it down.
I have now done a clean install of ParanoidAndroid again, and I do not have this error anymore.
However when ever I try to restore my Messaging it keeps giving me the same problem.
Help me! What should I do in order to restore my beloved chat log? I got some valuable information there.
There are several ways.
TB automatically creates an SMS/MMS backup, but it's labeled "Messages". Look for a TB-icon (Yellow star) labeled "Messages" or possibly a translated string. Restore data for that one. Threads with MMSes in them will not show the correct title, however, this will auto-repair itself after you receive an SMS.
Anther way is to go back to your original ROM, and choose "More/Backup data to XML", and store the file on your SD-card or on a cloud-server TB supports, then "Restore data from XML" on your new ROM.
Use 'super backup' to restore ur contacts
Thanks for the answer! I got it fixed.

This is exactly what I did, but I'm getting a failure to restore error. any ideas?
Hello
Is that someone applications. APK offcial.
Because I have a problem with the "Gallery".
It does not work properly, "she closes one."
So it might help me to repair it.
I don't think that will fix it.
Try clearing the app data for gallery.
If that doesn't work, try removing pictures from your phone, maybe one is corrupt or something.
I deleted pictures and it is always the same.
By cons how do you do to erase the data
Settings -> Apps -> All -> Gallery -> Clear Data.
better restore factory status
i think you'd better restore your phone to factory status. that's the best way to slove this problem
Hello everyone.
I use Titanium Backup to primarily backup and restore my contacts list, along with my calendar entries. Within Titanium Backup's Preferences sub-menu, the options - Auto-sync TB settings and Migrate system data have been previously enabled.
However, after moving from RocketROM v12 to Criskelo's ICS V11.2 (both custom TouchWiz Ice Cream Sandwich firmwares), and precisely initiating the Data only restore of Contacts Storage 4.0.4-XXLRK (CONTACTS/CALLS) entry within Titanium Backup, the following error appeared -
Unfortunately, the process
android.process.acore has stopped.

The said error appears every time I attempt to launch the Contacts app. Presently, I have cleared data from Settings > Applications > All; for the Contacts and Contacts Storage apps, which has stopped the aforementioned error from appearing, albeit, my contacts list is empty.
Please help me troubleshoot this error, such that, I am able to restore my contacts list.

Your not going to like this but youve actually tried all the main options there are...it appears to be a problem with the apk file itself or more correctly something stopping it being stable with the system, i had it just recently and had to wait for the next update on the rom im using but usually people have to wipe cache and dalvik..ie reset...and if that doesnt work its a reinstall the rom job m8

@pdolton2000, I am sorry about the late response, but I was away from my residential area/state. Additionally, I was resorted to using a colleague's laptop, without a medium of internet connectivity. However, most of the previous work was subjected to being offline.
Coming to my issue, I have been wondering if, manually formatting and subsequently mounting the /system, /data, /cache and /sdcard partitions via custom recovery, would be beneficial, or of any help in remedying the underlying issue, reported in the initial post of this thread?
Reiteratively, I will be eventually flashing Criskelo's ICS V11.2; a custom TouchWiz Ice Cream Sandwich firmware and attempting to restore system data; primarily my contacts list, whose last backup was performed within RocketROM v12 (another custom TouchWiz Ice Cream Sandwich firmware); via Titanium Backup.
