[Q] Galaxy Gear - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I know that the Galaxy Gear is only able to work with the Note 3 currently and it will be compatable with the othe Galaxy series devices III and up soon, but I am curious if it would be possible to port the software to make it work with the HTC One? With the One getting 4.3, I would assume that it would be possible, at least hardware wise. I really enjoy my HTC One, but feel that the capability of the Gear has some real uses. I have been looking at getting a smartwatch for a while now, and feel that the gear is the best one out there, but I don't want to have to get a new phone, to have a particular accessory. I am not sure if this is the proper place to put this question, but any answer would be appreciated.

[Q] Question is the Samsung Galaxy S Worth Buying

Is the Samsung Galaxy S Worth Buying for someone who is new to smartphones following the GPS and lag issues.
If you like tinkering with your gadget then yes, if you want a phone that just works then no. I recommend a HTC Desire Z/G2
Based on the specs, this is one of the best phone out there. However, if you are patient, wait for the next version of Android on Samsung or HTC or Motorola.

[QUESTION] How likely is an Android Port from SGS+ to WAVE3? Anybody interested?

Hey devs, since Samsung is using the sams SOC on many midrange phones, how likely do you think is a working port for Samsung wave 3 bada device? It has the same snapdragon s2 chip in there, is also using the same ammount of ram, and probably it has the same modem.
on wave 1 bada guys had proved that it is possible to Flash android software, but they are struggling with different Modems and so on.
what do do you think? is it possible? is anybody interested? Wave 3 is a very cheap device with a high quality metal case. i think this worth a look.
(i'm not a dev, and i have no idea about developing. in case my question is stupid, please delete it!)
i think it's possible, because theres already a android port to the WAVE 1.

Should i get S3 or S4?

Hi guys and gals I'm currently want to upgrade my S2 (finally) to either a S3 or S4, reason why I'm still considering the S3 is that I haven't really heard anything bad about them. But for the S4 however..... things like, camera failing, sim card failure etc... But I'm an android developer so the main reason why im getting it in the first place is to have a big screen and a higher end processor since I've already got a S2 for a sort of low end kind of thing.
So if you dont mind giving me your thoughts on both products
and I do intend on getting extended warranty just because of the issues lol

Hmm, well if you want feedback on the S3 and S4, I would suggest you head on over to the S3 and S4 forums. This is the S4 Active forum, which is an entirely different device - similar to an S4 but not the same and not with the same issues. But since you're here I would personally recommend staying away from the S4 Active, it just doesn't seem to be taking off at all. I'll probably be selling mine and getting a Nexus 5 instead when it shows up, depending on the details.
This is the incorrect forum to find information on either of the devices you mentioned.

Is it worth buying Galaxy Gear?

Dear guys,
I have never own a wearable before. I was thinking of buying a Gear 2 Neo as a bday gift for my friend, when I stumble across a a post on Engadget of how the Original Gear had Tizen upgrade.
Was pretty psyched about this news, as I also found a local dealer sold his 2nd-handed Gear v7000 for $60 (a used Gear 2 Neo would be about $100).
What I'm asking is, is Gear a better alternative than Gear 2, concerning:
Virtually Gear 2 and Gear share the same specs.
It has Tizen now
Thanks to XDA, many of you guys report to have decent battery life, which is awesome
It might also have Android Wear.
I own a Sony Z Ultra, but according to this, Gear can now runs on Sony too.
So yeah, I've done my homework, and can't have to have my hands on Gear. What do you guys think? With Tizen, is original Gear too far behind Gear 2?
If you want full functionality of your watch, you should use with a samsung device. I would advice you get a android wear device instead, there many alternatives and its gonna be tough to port android wear together with all its functions.

Thanks mate, I guess I'll get an Android Wear.
Nevertheless, I still am going to buy one for my friend. At the same time, I am tight on cash, so I need to make a choice. With Tizen, is Gear close to Gear 2?

Pretty much the same thing when it comes to software. What I like about the gear 2 is that camera and speaker are in the watch which makes you able to switch arm bands.
The Gear 2 is going to be $100 on Black Friday at AT&T.

Used Galaxy Tab or something else?

Hi all, not sure where to ask this general question and would be cool to hear any opinions from users with experience with any Galaxy Tab devices (I've never owned one).
Otherwise any other brand? I'm getting this feeling clicking around that the Galaxy Tab ROMs end up with SELinux state where apps won't work?
I'm looking for 7-10+ inch tablet for general use, if it has cellular then great but not required. Have to be able to install different ROMs as I will want to de-Gooble it. I'll be looking for used one so it doesn't have to be a new model. Something in the sweet spot. Last tablet I had was a Nexus 7 2012!
