Call History

I want to change the way my Call History works. I want it to only list people I call or call me once. If I call someone 5 times it lists them 5 times. Is there an upgrade or tweak that does something with this? Or maybe it's already in there, I just haven't found it yet.
Had this thing a week and it's been working great. Just small problems that I've been slowly working through.
I've been looking a really long time.. so far no luck
1- return to the original wm6 dialer skin .. use registery editor go to :local machine--security--phone -- skin-- change the value of enabled to 0
2- soft reset.. this will take you to the original dialing screen of wm6 but with no 3g support. it lists the contact one time and u may reach directly without going to the call history
3- to install the 3g feature there r 3 files in a file called (shad_vid_dial.rar) i have uploaded it
4- install files as instructed in the txt file, restart.
5- you will restore the 3g function in the dailing pad with the smart call history of the original wm6.

SIP Changing problems

I'm having troubles changing between SIP's I've installed. I've installed 2 additional SIPS than what the HTC ships with. But, when I try to switch to another SIP, I get the default white keyboard. Anyone know of a way to guarantee the use of a s specific SIP?
Thanks
I could think of a few things:
/ did you reset after installation ?? ( some program required a soft-reset afterward )
/ did you get a message that the installation was successful ??
/ if you're referring to the startup default being switched back to the default SIP ... then there is a program called "SIPchange" on the forum ( do a search )
that's all from me ... maybe if you could be more details about the name of the program(s) then maybe others who has been there can be of assistance ..etc
P.S ... how do you go about switching ???? I had to ask ... I've seen somebody swear that they'd switched and I'd tried to help at one time... meanwhile, they never actually clicked the triangle besides the pic to actually switch and/or go into the options menu to config anything ...etc
~~~
Known issue. Search for SIP Change in the forum and you'll be able to get one of them working.
Ok, SipChange fixed the problem. Wonderful!
I was clicking the triangle because I could switch to some of the "built in" Sips.
Thanks for your help.
1 click call divert
A challenge !!!!
Does anyone know of an app which is a 1-click call divert app. I was using one called 'EasyForward' but this no longer works, and has been withdrawn from the market.... can anyone help... PLEASE !! this is an everyday use app.....
Thanks
Ian
PS: The app enables the phone to direct all incoming calls to a user defined number....
what no one ???? no one knows of a way to do this ????
Well, I could code one, but it will take some time. Meanwhile, if you're using Sense, you can set send calls directly to voice mail through the People app. Just edit your contact and check the "Send call directly to voice mail" option.
Could you code one ?? I would gladly PayPal you a few quid for your troubles, this would be of such use to me,, Basically I have 2 mobiles, one I use for work, and one for home. I want to be able just to click divert or cancel when i go to work, or come home, as I dont want to have to tell everyone 2 numbers. Also my HERO is too good a phone to risk getting damaged at work,,,,,,
Hey Ian, I'm a little busy but it's not that hard to code, just that I'm not too sure if it'd work on a 2.1 phone. I'm still a novice at Android coding, so give me a couple of days since I still have a Android assignment to complete for school. Meanwhile, since you're on sense, just go to Settings > Call settings > Call forwarding > Always forward. Give me a couple more days and I'll get you your app.
Thanks mate, but the pic is a bit out of date. I am using (and will continue to use) EzHero 1.0 / 2.1 -update 1 as it is, for me, the bees knees and does everything I want. fast, smooth and stable. If you could create one to work on this, I would be forever in your debt....
Cant wait....... YOU LIFE SAVER !!!
Ian
Alright no problem, I know a universal way already. I shall start working on it now, a couple of hours should suffice.
You could always go onto the market and get "Easy call forwarding" free...
Once set up with number you want to divert to, it is one touch only enable and disable.
Use it all the time when switching between phones.
Cheers Phil-w
i would, but the developer has removed all support saying it was not getting support, so I can not install it on my phone now I have reflashed... I was using that for months and it was great,, thats my problem, now I can not install it...
Didn't you have a nandroid ? Otherwise you could get the apk from the nandroid ?
i know, and you are right, but earlier today i wiped the sd card... i do it every now and then,,, so no, i dont...
Hey Ian, I've completed the prototype, I'll be publishing it to the Market in a short while. I'm still trying to make it save the number you want so you won't have to re-enter it again. I'm trying to recode what Easy Call Forwarding had from scratch, so give me some time before it's as good.
mate, thats great.. what have you called it so I know what to look for ?
Hey Ian, sorry for the late reply. It's called Quick Forward.
downloading now mate,, will send you a PM.
cancell is not working mate....
Do you have a custom prefix? Because I implemented the standard prefix.
i dont understand what you mean mate ??? i simply put in the mobile number to divert to,, 078........
Alright Ian, let's talk on IM, it's faster. PMed you my MSN.
You could always create couple of contacts in your contacts list.
1 for divert cancel containing ##21#
1 for divert containing **21*07966666666# (put your mobile in here !)
Then just use +, shortcut, Person, then select the person i.e Divert or divert cancel.. (or what ever you have saved them as) and place on one of the panels home or where ever you fancy.
Works great on the UK Orange network..
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
if I understand you correctly you are on stock rom you are not notified about incoming sms and the lights signal it for only 5 min
right?
that should be a configuration issue, I'm not familiar any more with stock rom menu setup, but it is possible to assign notifications to events (on my 6.5 it's located under settings - sound&notifications)
the same for illumination, you can specify which events shall be accompanied with illumination (here: settings - system - illumination) and you should also be able to configure how long the illumination per event lasts (don't ask me where though)
I know XperiaTweak2 and app Illumineria enable you to mod this
if you still like to switch roms have a look at the rom dev stickies (olinex for h-spl, biovolt/phenx for tutorials, jackleung for sd method, custom rom threads to pick your favorite)
or correct me in case I misunderstood your post
best
As far as I am concerned,the 6.5 version is slower than 6.1
[Q]
I have got a LG-Optimus P-698 android phone. I request for following help.
1. Is there a software that will help me to attend my incoming calls without the need to slide the call attending (green) button? It sometimes requires two hands to attend an incoming call.
2. How do I access the last made call to recall this number. In other touch phones it I just press one of the buttons (usually the left corner button at the bottom), it will make a call to the last called or last missed call.
3. I understand that there is software which when installed into the phone, will become a speaker activated phone as soon as the phone is kept away from the ear.
4. Is there a way to automatically add or ask to add the contacts of persons whose name/s do not appear in the existing contact list.
5. How do I change the default fonts.
6. Lastly what is rooting, root browsing.
1- it's easy to answer with your thumb, just practice
2- read your manual, press the call button (phone like icon) and the second tab is for the call record
3- never heard of an app that does that, but search the Android market
4- in the call record long press the number and select add contact
5- in settings>screen settings should appear fonts, if it's not there your rom doesn't support changing fonts.
6- rooting is not for the amauter user, start reading, start in Wikipedia or something and Google "android root" "what does rooting android means"
I hope it helps
