I screwed up and installed one of those cartoony fonts and it replaced the default font. So even if I pick a new font, this goofy one is still used in many instances. Halp!
Edit: installed jrummy fonts and fixed it

Hi!
Just realized that the font during a call (the name of the person and the time) looks a bit strange. Looks like it's Verdana or similar and very bold. I'm not sure if it has been like this all the time but I really doubt it.
Does your font look like in this screenshot (The parts: "Diana Meyer", "Connected" and "00:29"):

I don't know, if I had the same problem, as you descibed. But my font during call changed too. After some exploring I found out, that I installed some dictionary, that installed its own fonts into windows/fonts folder. Once I deleted the fonts from that folder, the font during call changed to the original one (I lost the special fonts for the dictionary app, but it's usable anyway, so i don't care)...
I have changed my system fonts, like thousands of times before. Sometimes I get some troubles with calculator because it didnt show some characters on it, then I used to edit and complete the font with a font editor. But this time, the font seems to be completed but the characters (+ / * - ) are not shown.
Does anybody have idea of why?
PD: by the way, these fonts look nice
no help?
any tip?
So, I have tried the font cabs, but removing them turns into a major hassle. I have 'change font.exe', but it only works to return font to normal, it wont let me change fonts to anything new.
So my current process is install cab, after awhile to see if I like it or not, I then remove the cab, but that doesn't always work. thats where 'change fonts.exe.' comes in, it returns fonts to normal.
I wonder if there is a font changer that will change fonts using TTF that changes the fonts for Sense 2.5? One that will work for me, I am running an Imagio with NRGZ custom ROM running 2.5.2012 Manilla with 5.2.23548 OS and WM6.5. I also have Cookies 1.7.1 home tab installed.
you can use CraZyLiLbOy's methods found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450335.
basically, it makes a fake font for your PPC system.
the font creator is no longer free though, so you can't save your newly created font.
you can use my fake droidsans font (like in those android devices).
If you only want to change sense fonts, just copy Helvetica LT 35 Thin.tff and Helvetica LT 55 Roman.tff
Xue, what your telling me then is that there is no program out there that will change the font for Sense 2.5? I have to manually change them? If that is the case, where do I copy the fonts I want to use to?
Hi,
I changed my font to a different one from the market (some helvetica clone I think).
I didnt like it so uninstalled and changed back to the default android one.
Now I seem to have a problem whereby the font is being made bold in some places where it shouldn't be. Examples of this are in the pull down menu (the data, task names, all of the wifi BT buttons etc) and on my beautful widgets home weather widget.
I've tried changing the font to a different one and then putting it back but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.
The phone is running froyo and is rooted if that makes any difference.
If anyone knows how to fix, that would be great....
I have just stumbled over the same problem. A while ago I was able to "repair" it by changing the fonts and restart the phone. However, this is not possible anymore.
I have attached two screenshots for better understanding. If anyone knows a solution, please tell.
Ok I'm just going to throw this out and say I think the Clockopia font is UGLY. i love the deskclock and use this as my alarm, but I would really like to know how to change the font for it. So Has anyone themed this? Or atleast changed the font? I changed the clockopia font in my system but it didnt change this.
I have. You have to pull the DeskClock.apk file and replace the Clockopia.ttf file under the Assets>Fonts folder with the font you want to use and then push the changed .apk back to your phone, making sure its in the Systems>App folder on your phone.
Let me reanimate this thread.
I tried to do this on MIUI Gingerbread. Replaced the clockopia.ttf (which I really think is ugly as hell) with a renamed whatever.ttf
Pushing the recompiled (no compiling errors here) Deskclock.apk back the clock crashes totally when setting an alarm, but works then and sets the alarm.
logcat gives me java.util.formatter + lang.string.format and 3 or 5 other errors.
Having made a custom ROM I really would like to change this font.
