Hi.
I have already unlocked the bootloader and rooted my HTC One.
now I want to download CyanogenMod but there are different .zip files for each codename.
I don't know where I bought the phone but I am not on at&t/Verizon/sprint/T-Mobile
I checked in therminal emulator getprop
ro.product.device is M7.
not m7ul or anything else.
if I am missing something, can you point it out for me?

What CM I should download?
m7_ul should be fine, you just won't have LTE/4G

but I'll still have 3G and 2G right?
and another question
is there a flashable zip for onscreen buttons like the nexus 4?
I want onscreen buttons and to disable the hardware buttons...
ty
Yes, as I only said you'd be missing LTE/4G
oh ok thanks
one more question, is there a flashable zip for on screen buttons?
eww... look my country not selling the original HTC ONE, their sale the HTC ONE Dual SIM CDMA/GSM
it is support with any ROM that developers cook? thx

Hi..
Any one tried 4g on htc one 801e after flashing a UL firmware??
I just wondering if both devices have the same hardware so technically that is possible!
I found the option for lte on my device after flahing the european UL ruu, but i coudn't test it as our country doesn't provide lte..
The main reason why i need to know is that i'm going to change the mid of my device as well the cid permenantly to the europian model, if the ruu is 100% compatible and get the OTAs.
Bought my device in libya and cid is HTC__038 MID PN0711000
The hardware isn't completely identical, the radio hardware is different in a lot of these devices
Someone has tried and it didn't work I believe
They bought a model off eBay and tried to use it in the states

Hi all,
I'm rooting my device and I need to know if it is gsm or sprint.
I don't know here I can foud this info.
Can anyone help me, please?
Regards.
Is sprint or one of its mvno partners your carrier?
Do you have a Sim card?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Go into the bootloader and check the device model there. BTW the sprint model has a sim card too....
There are very few carriers that are CDMA, and carry the One.
First, is it AT&T? You can tell by the back. Probably not.
Is the device rooted? Check by installing a root app and seeing if it works. If it doesn't, then we know for (almost) sure that you are on a stock ROM. Is there any bloatware? Check all the hardware/software/provider info in settings.
If you can find no signs of any bloat or carrier marks, you have a GSM.
The only carrier that carries the One that I know of is Sprint.
Code:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
I'm trying to root my device and I need to know this info
Thanks in advance.

you aren't providing enough information to us. I'm guessing language may be a barrier.
Unless you are using Sprint, you don't have a Sprint phone.
All other HTC One's sold all over the world are GSM

Ty to all!
Can someone direct me to the link for the correct RUU / nandroid for converting my US Unlocked One to Indian One (801e - Single sim)? I am currently running CID BS_US001, which I plan to convert to HTC_038 (I believe this is the correct CID for Indian handsets), followed by installing the stock Indian firmware. However, I am unable to find the relevant Indian stock firmware. Please help me.

So you have m7_ul I have the same device, my cid is htc__001and I am using it in india no problems at all. I forgot to ask why you wanna convert your m7's cid to indian cid? As far as I know the indian version has model no. M7_u, no lte so Ruu will create problem.

I want to give my phone for repair - camera replacement. I read in another thread that US model can't be repaired in India as some calibration software does not run on it. So I want to convert the device to Indian (software and cid wise) and then attempt to get it serviced - maybe it works out!

No it won't be working as you can't change the model number of this phone or any other phone. Htc knows that htc m7_ul comes from europe so you will be busted In india htc ships only m7_u model.

But from what I understand, camera can be replaced but the calibration fails to run - I believe it runs similar to RUU, checking CID (and firmware version too maybe); so if I give them an Indianized phone, the software might run on my phone (and yes, I pay for repair).
Also, is that green tint possible to remove/correct through auto correct or something similar in photoshop / computer? I saw a sample of that green tinted photos on XDA - someone was able to actually correct it on GPE Rom. If yes the photographs can be corrected on the computer, I might just get the camera replaced at 5k and live with the green tint (in case calibration software fails to run on my indianized phone). Your thoughts?

Hello!
I was just curious about this stuff. Most of the people I asked said that the Verizon variant has a different partition layout compared to the AT&T and all the other variants. But, I was looking around the forum and one guy said this...
alray said:
Only phones with MID starting with PN071 (GSM M7_U or M7_UL) can be converted to other variants having MID starting with PN071 (GSM M7_U or M7_UL).
For example, you can convert a WWE GSM variant (PN0710000) to a Dev edition GSM variant (PN0712000)
You can't convert a Sprint CDMA variant (PN0720000) to a GSM variant (PN071XXXX)
Afaik, (I might be wrong, confirm if your partition table is the same)You can't (?) convert a Verizon CDMA variant (PN0731000) to a T-MOB GSM variant (PN0713000)
Afaik, MIDs not having the same 3rd digit have different partition layout and different hardware. Make sure before proceeding.
---------- Post added at 09:31 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:15 AM ----------
Ok, it looks like Verizon variant have the same partition layout as the GSM variant
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416038
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317621
So you should be fine changing your MID from PN0731000 to any PN071 MID and flashing a RUU.
But you will probably not have LTE because flashing RUU doesnt change frequency bands.

So does that mean I can convert my Verizon HTC One (M7) to an international M7 without any problems? I am not using a Verizon sim card so I do not need CDMA networks or whatever. If this is possible, will the process be the same as converting an unbranded One to the Developer Edition? I believe converting my Verizon One to the international one will also allow me to test out the ROMs available for it, correct me if I'm wrong.
P.S. I am S-OFF'ed with HBOOT 1.57
CID: VZW_001
MainVer: 5.28.605.2
This is an annoying question for some of you people, I know. But, Thanks!

The Verizon variant does have the same partitions layout than the UL variant, however a Verizon variant can't be converted to a UL variant.

@alray , I know u know a hell of a lot about the m7, but I gotta double check and ask just to make sure I'm reading this correctly; youre saying the Verizon variant of the M7 has the SAME partition layout as the UL M7?
I only ask because I own a Verizon M7, (love this phone) , and I've yet to try flashing S.Rom ONLY because Ive been told by many ppl in the M7 S.Rom thread that it will brick Verizon devices because of the partition layout "being different" according to them. (i know there will be data connectivity issues as it is a GSM rom and my device is a CDMA device, however that's not whAt I'm concerned about) , I just never flashed it as I was scared it would write things to the wrong partitions...

The Sprint one does have a different partition layout as opposed to the Verizon variant which is the same layout as the UL variant. Check the links in the quote at post #1. We already tried to convert in another thread, the ruu flashed fine and nothing flashed on the wrong partition but it wasn't booting correctly because of the CDMA radio

Only M7_UL and M7_U variants are RUU cross-compatible (still require to change CID/MID). So don't flash the dev edition RUU on your Verizon (wlv) variant. Anyway, better to stick with viperone imo, much more up-to-date then using a RUU.

You can install any Verizon stock or custom roms, it won't affect the radio bands the phone was designed to work with. Refer to htc website to know what bands the Verizon htc one supports and check if it's compatible with your carrier.
