I seriously cannot figure out the cause of these. I've done countless logcats, and other experiments, but still nothing. I'm going to update this post with screenshots and logcats when I get the chance.
Background info: my device is bootloader unlocked and rooted, and has Xposed framework installed/enabled
**edit** More info: It's not just random freezing, random apps are also force closing. Without the: "Unfortunately, _______ has stopped". It just closes the app without warning or reason, a second or less after opening it. It's multiple apps: so far, Baconreader (reddit app), GoSMS, Rootchecker
**edit 2** Text Messaging crashed when I received a text message and it then subsequently rebooted itself. What?
**edit 3** While in Text Messaging app I tried to attach a picture by taking a new picture. As soon as I was in the camera for a second or two it rebooted
**edit 4** I just want to clarify that everything is 100% random. The things I've described above, the reboots are never a reoccurring thing. The app force closes are, however.
Anyone else have this problem?

didn't look at your logs but how are you rooted. What did you do. Its either a hardware problem or something to do with how you rooted the phone or something you did using root or something you flashed causing the issues. I haven't heard reports of this yet. I have seen random reboots but never with unrooted devices (that I have seen).
Try fixing permissions in recovery first and if that doesn't work factory reset, also disable xposed and see if that is causing you problems
Sent on my Moto X
I'm going to factory reset, I just want someone to comb over the logs and try to figure out what went wrong. That way I dont repeat it in the future

Well I took the plunge last night and rooted and installed the Cynogen ROM and after some pretty tense moments everything worked!!
Only thing is Cherry Rplayer, a decent radio app I liked will no longer work: I get a "Sorry! The application Cherry Rplayer (process com.leadapps.android.radio.cherryrplayer) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close" message immediately upon launch.
I searched for a similar app & found 'A Online Radio' (which looks exactly the same as Cherry Rplayer in the screenshots in the app store?) and it does the same exact thing.
Other radio apps continue to work fine such as 'NPR News'. I've also tried re-installing and still does not work.
What's up with that?
Thanks in advance
Did you flash with the latest version, ie, 5.0.5.2? One of the changes include
* Disable V8 in Webkit and switch back to JSC due to app incompatibilities

No, I used 5.0.5.1. But I just upgraded to 5.0.5.2 and launching these apps result in the same immediate force close message.
In case anyone else is having the same problem, I was able to find in another thread that fixing uid mismatches in recovery (THANKS jsapp & travon802!) solves this problem...
I'm having the same problem with Power Manager Pro (I bought it, so it's kind of annoying) and fixing uid mismatches didn't solve it.
Happens since CM5.0.5. I'm currently on 5.0.5.2
I have this weird problem that only started occurring today.. If I open up the Market and update an app it will attempt to download & update the app over and over in a continuous loop. The only way I can make it stop is if I kill the Market app.
Figuring that something may have become corrupted I just did a complete reinstall and I'm still seeing the same behavior! I just updated an app and it download & installed 6 times repeatedly before I killed the Market app! So annoying!
Anyone seen anything similar? I'm at a loss at how to fix this, I've already reinstalled everything.
OK I'm beginning to think it may be a server problem, but it would be great if anybody could provide some input.
I posted a logcat on pastebin, it captures me waking my phone up, opening the Market and updating the app RepliGo Reader.
http://pastebin.com/UswHrLKK
I have highlighted a couple lines which I think are of interest, from what I can tell the app installs fine, then CheckinService sends a checkin request and receives the following error:
Got ApiException from async request: Error from backend. Request=com.android.vending.model.GetAssetRequest, Response=INTERNAL_SERVICE_ERROR
It's at this point that D/vending states there is a download pending and attempts to download/install again.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Do a search, there are atleast 4 threads on this. One here.
I don't know if anyone else is seeing this, or if it is just me. Prior to 4.4.4, I could remove Mms.apk/odex and have no issues. I didn't care as I used Hangouts for SMS/MMS, so I wanted it gone to clean up the app drawer. On 4.4.4, if I remove Mms.apk/odex, Hangouts will FC if I try to send a SMS/MMS message. It is still fine for a hangouts message though. Restore the app, and no problems. Is anyone else seeing this? I'd like to get rid of the app, but it appears I may not be able too.
Try just freezing it with titanium backup?
But if same issue, then perhaps hangouts now relies on it. Just hide it from app drawer if your launcher supports it...or else you'll have to live with it.

I read reports of this same exact thing happening on 4.4.2 also. KJ's suggestion was the solution for those users as well. I'm curious why you didn't experience the issue on 4.4.2 though, when others did...
Not sure why it worked on 4.4.2, or why it isn't working on 4.4.4. If I can't remove it, then I'll just hack the APK to get rid of it from the launcher menu, but leave it installed. Annoying, but it may be the only way around it as I don't feel like installing TiBu just to freeze the app.
And, it is now "fixed" :good: Replace the Mms.apk/Mms.odex with the one that is attached, and it will keep the app on the phone, but out of the app drawer. I deodexed the file, removed the launcher property from the AndroidManifest and then resigned the app. Once you put it in place, reboot and you'll be good to go. You may need to set the permissions on the file, if you do, you want 0644. Enjoy.
I also noticed that on 4.4.4 you can't disable MMS like you could in 4.4.2 I'm not sure why they thought that it would need to be kept. It could be a thing to do with making sure that people at least have Motorola's MMS on their phone. Maybe it is for Motorola Connect reasons.
I have a couple of problems with the text message app.
First, there are a couple of conversations that will crash the phone. I believe they may have to do with the amount of texts in the conversation (one is my sister and one is my girlfriend and those are the people I text the most). If I try to open either one of their conversations, the app will freeze up for a good minute or two. I can force close it but other than that, it's unresponsive. However, if I first open a different conversation and then go back and open the lengthier one, it will work just fine. Has anybody had this issue?
Second problem is that many times when I open a conversation, the app starts at the top (at the oldest text first) and I have to manually scroll to the bottom to see the latest texts.
Neither are a real serious problem but the crashing of the app when opening the lengthier conversations is very annoying.
I am rooted on the stock ROM but I have had these problems even before I rooted and even though I'm rooted, I haven't made any changes to anything (I rooted but have been unable to install a custom ROM due to my firmware).

Try using hangouts(google's texting app).
I use it and it works, runs smooth, and looks great
Give Hangouts a try first but I had to switch to the app Textra because MMS sporadically worked for me on Hangouts. I hope they have an updated material version of Hangouts when the rest of the material GAPPS arrive.
I have installed the xposed framework, and the only module I've installed is the Sense 6 Toolbox.
Whenever I activate it (and then reboot), I constantly get the "android.process.media has closed unexpectedly" message, with option to send or not send an error report.
Whether I choose to send or not to send a report, the message comes right back.
I've tried disabling some of the tweaks in the Toolbox module, but I still always get the error message.
I've googled this pretty much to death, so has anyone else experienced this?
Anybody got a solution?
I got that too. I whisper everything and restored.
I figured out what was causing the errors. You have to enable theAOSP style "recent apps" menu. As long as that's enabled, you can use any of the other mods in the module, except for the recent apps mods of course.
Edit:
Actually, I think that the media force close is caused by Hot Rebooting, instead of doing a full reboot.
Whenever I change any xposed module settings now, I do a full actual reboot, and I haven't had a media FC error yet.
